  1. At this point it would just be hear say without hard evidence. I'm sure Epsilion if caught would play it off as a rogue "off shore" contractor doing something on their own. They'd pay a fine/bribe and then have the issue buried.
  2. Yeah it'll be a 26, unlikely to get a second season. If it's popular it might get a movie version like Frontier.
  3. Hmmm the only reason, and really this could go either way, I doubt Lady M is Myung because of the fact that Isamu is part of SMS. Now depending on how you view their relationships that's why it could be evidence either way. If Isamu and Myung stayed together you would think they would want to stay near each other so it doesn't make sense for them to be half a galaxy away on different assignments for potentially rival companies On the other hand... Isamu was always flying to his tune so settling down wouldn't really fit his personality. The relationship falls apart and he takes a job to where he can get half a galaxy away. Myung goes back into musical research due to her participation from the Sharon Apple incident. ... on the super other hand (ie I'm stretching so much I should be teaching yoga). If they were still together and Lady M is running the Chaos with the aim of unlocking more PC knowledge around fold waves maybe they planned together to make it look like they fell apart to plant Isamu as a spy within SMS to gather intel into their research regarding fold waves and quartz.
  4. You know there's some facts that weren't mention which makes me believe Epsilon and Roid don't understand they're playing with fire. For the M7 flash back, they do not mention the Protodevilin by name. Naming them would have been a huge indicator they know the full extent and history of the PC's fall and the creation of the Zentradi. They speculate that the PC made the ultimate weapon in the form of biological androids... Ok this is where they're right and wrong. We know all about the EVIL series BUT they never sang... as far as we know What this leads me to believe is Mikumo might be an actual EVIL series model but possibly with a blocked link to super dimensional power which kept her from being possessed by the Protodevilin. My take on this is that the PD learning to sing probably allows them to convert their super dimensional energy into spirita.
  5. The one thing we're also not considering is pilot reaction. While it's pure conjecture, how would the normal human pilot get better at reaction speed? Cybernetics? Brain wave control? I'm assuming, but tailored Zentradi pilots could have had gene manipulated to give them improved reaction. Winderemers are probably the same. Of course you'd have complete freaks like Max but they're super rare. Honestly, that would probably explain why the average NUNS pilot gets red shirted all the time. They just have normal human class reaction speed so the crazy high speed maneuvers they're seeing from Windermere's are just overwhelming. Actually that makes me even more interested in what happened in the conflict between the Winderemers and the Lost Zentradi fleet. Also, on thing to note in Messer's and Keith's duels neither could stay on the tail of the other for that long. Considering the speed at which they're fighting, a battleroid switch might work once for maneuvering but then follow up attack would be easily avoided. Think about it. We've had so many scenes where pilots on either side have reacted to a gerwalk transformation and we've seen transforming takes about 1 second at most.
  6. That's an interesting proposition with several caveats I'm assuming they have been screening for fold receptor singers for a while now but from an anti-VARS perspective There could be other "tactical sound units" but other sectors are reluctant to let them go because it would leave their local populous vulnerable. We don't know how wide spread fold receptor knowledge is. Based on Freyja's screening, I think the general public has no idea about it. So it's not like they can go "hey if you have a fold factor join us today!" Beyond that, the power of the fold receptor is variable, even Freyja didn't trigger in the audition until they stressed her the F out. So there's no easy quick way to screen for tactical level fold receptor Going one further... why? NUNS has proven they have ship based jammers that work.
  7. I also want to throw out there that at this point in Frontier there was a real sense of desperation and the raised stakes felt more impactful. Here we have the Chaos infiltrate the same planet again, which lead to a semi "just as planned" moment from Roid which honestly deflated the tension. He LET them in knowing something was going to happen and uses the half the Knights as token resistance. If he was serious about conquering the galaxy this would have been the perfect opportunity to bring the full might of the Winderemere military to crush Walkure. Instead, we solidify the fact that Roid is more interested in research and seem to be trying to maneuver Walkure into experiments, possibly to save Hienz' strength and/or understand PC technology. I kind of wish we'd have some scenes at NUNS or among the refugees of Starwind sector vow vengeance against the Winderemere would have raised the stakes and make the show's conflict feel like it could spiral out of control in an organic way. You'd think there would be a huge conscription effort for many folks to enlist who want to take back their planets. Hell NUNS could broadcast the fact they have JAMMERS that actually WORK against VARS as recruiting material. They could turn the whole damn galaxy against Windermere in moments if they wanted to. I'm sure if they released video of the White Knight in action there would be more than a few elite units that would want to take a crack at him. The only thing that would counter this is Lady M lobbying as hard as possible as that would show how incompetent Chaos is.
  8. To be honest we don't know who he and Chuck are fighting during the sorties. They certainly don't have the rivalry that everyone seems to have with the White Knight. Hell, Arad seems to think having a rookie take on the pilot that iced the team's Ace seems like a good idea. To me this implies he think his piloting skills are pretty far inferior to Hayate's. Even if their skills were equal, Arad should have a ton more experience AND has personal knowledge of Windermere combat tactics. I might have actually given him the benefit of the doubt if he was actually issuing orders to the rest of Delta like real squad leader but that mostly consist of him saying, "x formation" then flying off screen. He'll he's even pass that buck to Mirage. So wtf is he actually doing? At this point it would be better if he was on the bridge being a flight commander. In short he's no Ozma
  9. Yeah, I've always felt they're tacked on and honestly this is part of the failure of having such a large cast just to fill checklist idol archetypes. Personally, I don't think Kawamori's heart is in this series. I heard he wanted to do a air show focused show with no triangle but the sponsors forced him.
  10. Well here's an interesting note, the Amazon entry says the "network" is FilmRise and not Harmony Gold. Doing a quick search on their official site yielded a Robotech entry but not macross specifically http://filmrise.com/robotech-is-an-anime-sci-fi-epic/ I'm not sure what this means. Could be a sub licence from HG, they bought the rights from HG or they acquired the rights from japan.
  11. Completely agree. Feels like they just wrote in the tech as an afterthought cause it makes NO sense in universe from a battlefield OR stage performance. If you're using holograms for costumes it makes no sense to have the projection UNDER clothes.
  12. I'm not sure if it was addressed but are they "wearing" anythings besides their undergarment gear? I mean would they still need to wear actual clothes to protect from when they fall and stuff? I still prefer how they explained Sheryl's holographic set.
  13. Just how bad is interstellar network security that a virus could infect the WHOLE damn network within a couple of hours? I mean if it was something that was just cooked up for this occasion it feels like a backdoor access situation. I mean people are dumb so the could "Click here for a free Walkure concert!" work for personal devices but come ON!
  14. 35, but probably would have died way sooner. I mean they have access to transformable fighters! I would have been in flight school as a kid then died in a sortie in my teens cause I didn't have plot armor.
  15. Don't forget you could always get a PSTV on the cheap. Vita hardware outputted to your TV!
  16. You'd think the NUNS would design the limited Ghost with a semi autonomous harden mode just in case all communication was severed with the master system.
  17. Yep, they've shown up as the guys in the desert type head dresses talking about improving the ruin's song enhancement and the proto culture ship after the Elysion shot it.
  18. Warning, crackpot theorycraft incoming: Ok what if Roid isn't really the origin point for this galactic war? From all the angles we've sliced it, a galactic war doesn't make any sense from the Windermere perspective. There's no benefit to them in over throwing NUNs, especially if NUNS actually offered peace talks! Their short lives, lack of martial materials and small armed forces are all weaknesses. So what does make sense. What if over throwing NUNS was Epsilon's price to arm Windermere with the latest tech in VF's, refurbish and improve all the PC tech that's been shown! Heck there could also be other benefits they could have provided from the shadows like improved logistics, funding the hire of military trainers (sound familiar), elimination of rival leaders etc. If Epsilon is truly made up of former anti UN forces, it makes the most sense at very little cost! Convince one planet that the UN is out to get them and use their innate ability to sow chaos across the galaxy? The cost is just arming a relatively small force and to further any PC tech found? Sounds way too good to be true! Even if NUNS was able to beat back the Windermere, any material loss in NUNS would be gain to those anti UN forces. Possibly enabling the over throw of UN allied government all throughout space! If we think about it, without Epsilon's backing could Windermere even operate and maintain the PC tech? They NEED the song amplifier to hold their new planets and solidify their positions of power. There's no way they'd bite the hand of Epsilon support.
