  1. Oh man! I have the new Daibattles on preorder at BBTS. That makes me even MORE excited for the thing! And I want that SOC Voltes so damn bad.
  2. Voltron(both of them) are awesome. I REALLY like VoltesV(or as I am used to from the crappy dub I watched fifty million times growing up Voltus V) is another fave. Getter Robo and Getter Robo G even though they are pure anime magic. And even though I couldn't get into the show GaoGaiGar is fricking amazing.
  3. Finally figured out a way to pose GGG with Goldy in an attack pose! Wouldn't keep him like this for an extended period but I still am happy.
  4. Been reading that the video compression of the YT video is what is causing that. There are cleared up stills taken from the trailer that look amazing and prove that the shot of him on the van with Cap's shield is not cg. A person on Deviantart has posted that still there and I am sure its elsewhere.
  5. I don't get the dislike for the new Spideysuit. It is VERY oldschool while still being more modern in details. My only dislikes are those black stripes on the arms and boottops and the spider on his chest is too small for my tastes. Otherwise it looks great. And I LOVE the frikkin eyes.
  6. I don't remember if I mentioned this one here or the SOC thread, but yes! Gonna have to double dip. THIS is how you do it. The original Golion is fantastic. Best aspects of both the classic Popy/Matchbox and being modernized CORRECTLY and being VERY sturdy and super posable. And this version removes most of my minor issues(especially with that gorgeous chest crest!) I haven't heard if that deal was finalized though. Anybody else know?
  7. That's one of the flaws of that figure, as much as I love it. I never have had that happen, but the feet being plastic and the ankles being diecast, plus TOO much diecast in the wrong places above waist can easily be a problem. Compare that to my SOC GaoGaiGar... I've left him in a sidekick pose, UNSUPPORTED, for days at a time. No issues. And that sucker has TONS of metal in him. But its all either structural or in key areas that cause him to be hefty and stable. My Madtoys Golion is even better in that department cos he's more posable, so I can distribute the weight through refining the pose. In the end it's really more about the overall quality of the figure. And given Toynami's record, I ain't expecting much.
  8. Honestly for stability at that size it NEEDS diecast at least in the lower legs or at least feet. My Titan Devastator is two inches taller and while I can get him in dynamic poses, the lack of diecast has already proven a problem as he's taken a fall because a leg wobbled when someone walked past. So yeah. And given that Toynami uses crap for materials(you guys with the Alphas, me with the POS that is BOTH versions I've had of the first Toynami Voltron set), I am not expecting things to go well with this thing.
  9. I know alot of people are down on the Madtoys Golion, but it looks ten times better than this. At first when I saw the prototype pictures on Collection DX I was interested... but yeah. Take everything about the Nicktoons show and the few things I don't like about my Golion, and this is the result. And I think the lions look absurd. Black lion is sitting in the one photo in not only an show inaccurate way, but he looks more like he is taking a dump. I don't mind tweaking the basic designs to modernize them as long as the changes are mostly slight tweaks or added details to make them look more believable, but this has the whole modern "All pointy things sticking out all over for no reason and ridculous over the top detailing cos its EX-treme! " and $300 - $400 for ALL plastic? Nope.
  10. Totally getting the new Ultraman and Baltan. Getting two Baltans so I can customize one into the Ultraman Zenith (my OC in the diorama) universe version. Those buildings seem more suited scalewise to Heisei Godzilla and co. TOS Ultraman is shorter than the '54 Godzilla. So a fifty meter building would be slightly taller than Ultraman.
  11. I have the SOC ComBattler, Godsigma, GaoGaiGar and GoldyMarg. Love all. GaoGaiGar is phenomenal. I also have the Madtoys Golion and that sucker is incredible as well. I may sell it however if the MT/Toynami Voltron version comes out though as I think the tweaks made to it vastly improve a great toy. Maybe I'll keep both though. One minor gripe with GGG/Goldymarg however... I CAN'T POSE GGG WITH GOLDY AS HAMMER AND ARM IN ATTACK POSES! 😠 Goldy is too damn heavy!
  12. Heh. I'm planning a city diorama for Godzilla. And as soon as I looked at the Ant Man movie suit, Kamen Rider popped in my head. I suspect a design influence from KR, and looking at the figuarts Ant Man that idea got reinforced. n
  13. Shin and Zo's I like. The rest... hmm. I just don't get it. But that's just me sitting there thinking, "while they're doing all the moves and flashy crap the baddies could be beating the hell outta them." The Ultra series anymore suffers the same issue. Tiga and Cosmos made me laugh at the transformations.
  14. Hmmm... makes me curious. Cos I like the whole concept behind Kamen Rider but the Power Rangers/Super Sentai vibe never clicked with me. Same reason alot of the modern Ultra shows bore me, and I am a big Ultraman fan.
  15. We've thought about that actually! She help me make costumes for my customs in the past.
  16. According to my girlfriend, who is a cosplayer, the movie style suits are fairly easy to do if you have the time and patience to work with puffy paint. We've talked about making a Spidey suit for me to go with her Black Cat cosplay, but I gotta lose weight first. 😆 But still, I think the ASM2 figure could be customized fairly easily into a modernized Hammond Spidey.
