First cel should not be from Orguss or Orguss 02, as most mechas from those series were not ground based relying on wheels.

Yes most KOR movie cels are for Hikaru (dancing, crying, or her bang shot), few are ever for Madoka. Got better luck finding original Kentaro Miura or Rumiko Takahashi sketches. Saw those cels but already have one fro the same DYRL Misa sequence. Again pity no matching unstuck dougas.

Interesting. Been searching for the first movie art for a couple decades, extremely low inventory. When even Yann, Young, and Rick did not have any it was a good sign these are nearly impossible to obtain.

Sure you saw the cel from sequence A36 matching the first cel. It included the setup storyboard and Tatsunoko envelope but did not sell. Pity none of these cels include the douga those are beautiful if you can see them in-person. Which KOR OP cel (OVAs or TV)? Can you post a pic? Thanks.

Hot damn 3.5 years OVERDUE? Mikimoto is popular but not Miura and Takahashi popular. Both of those mangakas have a good support team too so they can and do meet deadlines (Miura as slow as he is is still faster than Mikimoto).

Saw those 20 years ago always thought they were cheap knockoffs.

So just to recap, Mikimoto is the bottleneck in the production and not the other areas involved? If so, can others share how many other titles has he been unable to deliver in a timely manner that resulted in it getting cancelled? He does not seem to be able to adhere to a strict publishing schedule. Sidenote, agreed unless you are Kentaro Miura, you probably cannot get away with such unreliable work product and your title gets canned.

Nice collection vsim! For the Misa SDFM TV cel odds are it is from the early episodes. Rewatch and you can probably tell, my guess the early eight episodes.

Nice DYRL Minmay douga. Congratulations! While there are collectors selling globally there are not as many buyers who can or are willing to pay the high prices the artworks command. So buy what you can if it meets your needs. As for this thread you know there are less than six active Macross cel and artwork collectors, right?

@trekker14: Would advise against buying from this seller because their product most likely has vinegar syndrome (vs). If you came within close physical proximity you would most likely smell an odor. This odor that is emitted is the chemical gases being released and is often attributed to improper storage of the artwork. This condition vs can be passed to other artworks if stored within the same vicinity. Caveat emptor.

The shot could've appeared prior to her raising her microphone, or it could have appeared after she lowered it. You would need to do a careful frame comparison to determine which sequence the cel image appears in. @ZenAmakoYou are welcome! Enjoy the art in good health.

Not surprising the DYRL cel went as high as it did. Recently sold one from the same sequence to a fellow collector at my cost because not looking to price gouge. He got an extremely good deal!

BWA has been extremely lackluster. The selection and quality of highend art continually decreases. We are seeing even Mandarake's inventory dry up. Wonder how much longer they can manage the BWA.

No girls in the douga set so not quite as popular. Add in a Minmay and Misa and watch the price move higher.
