  1. Gratz to 2 shipping notices. Again safe to say they're not shipping more than 2 per day (maybe 4 if you add non members). 1 - Either it's supa' painful as it looks like they are shitting them out (forgive my French), and with all the pointy bits everywhere, more than 1 would mean breaking the safety regulations, "risk of tears, internal bleeding or even death" *Taken from page 3 paragraph 78 of Bandai's TWE safety assembly manual. 2- They're getting their ordered stock piece by piece, (maybe in kit form too) and they ship randomly from a hat. 3- They buy them from YHJp etc to honor their orders. Scrap number 3, I was only kidding....Either 1 or 2. I'd go for 1, it would explain those 'mysterious' QC marks . Come on, push NY, push, you can do it.
  2. Great to hear..... Maybe shipment from the 10th October will be shipped after that, following their f,d up logic Again....just shows my 'pick from a hat theory' might not be so far off after all. Love how I was so sure that they followed order numbers....Why do they even have them in the first place? Makes you wonder how they run this business. They gained too many new customers over the past 5 years, yet staff-wise, they probably still have the exact same amount. Like that poor 'Fabrice' who's been locked up in a broom cabinet copy/pasting replies for years now.... Another possibility would be the 'New customer' theory, you know, like people who have never bought from them before,( or maybe 1 or twice). They'd go above and beyond to make a good first impression and send their orders Asap to make sure they come back for seconds. (For the old timers, they don't give a crap, they've got their business already and they know most will come back..... even if they don't send them anything other than a store credit.) Utter bull.
  3. Crazy how so few people actually received theirs from NY. Was expecting it was more. At this stage, makes you wonder if they have more than 5 left in their inventory. It's like they send off about 1 a week (if that) for MW members (and maybe 1 for people on other platforms/forums). *Sigh*. Feels like every week, they pull out those 2 orders from a hat or something? It's getting more tedious by the day. If my mate doesn't call them up, I think I'll just pay and call myself, just too curious as the mailed msgs aren't mentioning anything about that M.M.S (Mysterious.May.Shipment) or B.S.M.S (you know what I mean). Wonder what details, if any they'll be able to provide regarding this info as It's still as vague as the written replies. And why they're not mentioning anything about this M.M.S when you contact them via their ticket system....Is it really that difficult to modify this msg and add more info. (I still somehow believe they want more people to cancel, but that's just me) Makes them look like they're either clueless or couldn't care less about their customers . Or both....yeah, I pick both....
  4. I've already asked my best friend who works/lives in Tokyo to call on my behalf, that was two and half weeks ago. Being the Japan director of some huge international Co he has "more pressing matters than chasing out after some other toy" _(-_-)_ He's not a toy collector, and don't think he even grasps the gravity of the situation!! He'll call eventually, but when,no clue. I'll post when I get a reply though. As for that mysterious May batch. Don't you think If that was truly the case, NY would've already mentioned this in their written replies? Still having doubts that Bandai is producing any extras considering most Japanese customers got theirs without any apparent issues. And no way would they produce more just to satisfy the international demand considering we ain't even supposed to get those TWE in the first place...As far as the 'more QC returns than expected' if that's the case, pretty certain that any extra batch wouldn't be so that NY can fulfil their orders? We unfortunately lack concrete infos to support any theories/suppositions. The only thing that's for sure, NY are taking the p'ss.
  5. Nippon-Yasan Received: wm cheng, Not Yet: no3Ljm, Kinzoku Ended up paying for those NY PO...(Mospeada and the rest of the stuff I had to pay ). Funny how at the last second I panicked, thought they'd close up my account or something if I did not pay and would loose the cursed Kairos (that might never show up anyway)......so I paid like a prick. Kinda p'd off. That'll teach me not tI get carried away on stuff I don't truly need/want. Hope that that Cyclone turns out o.k and is not utter junk. Sentinel aren't exactly supa consistent ,they collab with loads of different studios and quality varies from one line/piece to the next..(still, 15 times better than Evo Toys stuff.... Who knows, the price might even rise a bit after release,( at least for the Stick version, ). So that I can sell it off without loosing too much on it. As for the Kairos, I did mail them for the 3rd time now, in 4 weeks, got a reply, but yet again, they dodged question ....
  6. In reply to RealJayDee. In case you haven't followed up on the Kairos situation. The only people who ever mentioned that 'May' stock are NY, no other shops have mentioned anything regarding additional stocks. Only one source mentioned this. Up until now, they have yet to deliver a fraction of their paid orders. Not even finished sending out orders from the 6th/7th October. And as they are not informing anyone regarding what is happening, I'd say that 'magic stock' is yet more BS from their part. As far as I'm aware, no one has received a mail specifically mentioning some extra stocks in May. If you knew you were getting stocks at a certain date (even approximatively). Would you A: inform the customers who are waiting like a bunch of idiots (me included ) or b: say nothing, expecting to get as many refund requests as you can by then increasing the likelyhood of selling that stock at a higher price for a massive profit later on? Take your pick. It could be either...but I tend to go for 'b' As far as anyone is aware, Bandai has not hinted they would release any extras stocks. And for that 'mass release' you mentioned, not sure what you meant? The Kairos was a TWE in the first place. It'll never get mass released, (unless they do a variant , but for now, it's in the realm of dreams and certainly won't be anytime soon as they have other DX's announced that have yet to get released first ). In other words : your best bet if you're desperate, just go and shell out ¥45000 or more for it from Mandarake,YHJP scalper etc. As unfortunately your local store is most probably in the exact same situation as most other retailers that import to the US/Europe/outside Japan, meaning they won't get theirs in. And IF they ever do, it'll be around 4 or 6 pieces if that. So expect to pay way more that ¥45000 as by now, most stores are aware of its scarcity. Not to mention 'physical/real' stores aren't the best places to buy that kinda stuff (even more in the case of that particular TWE VF's....). Or you can just wait and keep calling your local store every day, they might eventually get one ( give them a deposit or something if you want to be safe...)
  7. It's a real pain in the backiside. Sent them a msg for that Sentinel as I've combined 2 POs into 1, thought by doing that and not paying it would be like not paying a single order, rather than 2. But, by doing that I end up with 2 cancelled PO's in my list..(.the 2 single Pos gets cancelled then put into one new order. BS) Will also send them a msg I've already typed regarding this May possibility. And see what they'll say. I did state that I do not want my order cancelled/voucher refunded, that having already waited 6 months, I'll wait whatever time but would like some concrete informations. I'm just still finding it really hard to believe in that 'magical May shipment' . Wouldn't they have mentioned something about if that's truly the case? Or, it's just as I said before: they're trying to cancel as many of those yet to be shipped Kairos orders as possible in order to list them up after they get that mysterious cargo from Bandai. (And for about ¥55000....) Truly starting to loose hope and really don't feel like paying for those POs. At that stage, I'm more interested in a Kairos than another Mospeada (unless I can sell back the Mospeada for 3 times it's price in a few months if it turns up to be any good.....dilemma ....) I've never been so stressed out by some orders in a really long time. Thanks so much NY.
  8. What chances of Sentinel re-releasing those Mospeadas, or cranking additional stocks in the future? Got my NY payment request this morning, but considering that Kairos mess, (still waiting and no additional infos) . I feel burnt and unsure about what to do with that Mospeada. Don't want to regret it down the line if Sentinel end up not producing another run at a later date :-(
  9. Thanks for the update, and hope you'll get it asap!
  10. Saw I had some messages, got hopeful for half a second, but they only want their $$$ for that Sentinel Mospeada.... Great.....Now what. FFS they're taking the p*ss. As far as that mid-May shipment from Bandai.....If they know, why haven't they sent mails to all those Kairos preorders customers that have yet to hear anything from them? Oh...wait....of course, silly me, they still want to refund as many customers as possible in order to sell off that stock for a fortune. (If it's not yet some imaginary stocks...) Duh. Willing to wait until mid May or whenever, but not without a written msg from them. (Thanks once again to Guyffon for the info) Edit : not to mention the NY staff mentioned ' they think they'll get their shipment ' could be October or never who knows... Found the founder of NY on FB, but seems he doesn't use it FB . He's on LinkedIn though. Found out other infos too. But nothing that would help us regarding this issue.
  11. Tomorrow will be week 4 for NY orders. Congrats to the few that received theirs this week ( seems that those were yet more orders from the 6th, that had been shipped prior to last week). Aside from that, doesn't look like much, if any have been shipped recently. Still hoping, we'll get some additional infos soon. The past 2 messages we received at the beginning just aren't relevant any longer. By now they should have a clear idea whether they'll be able to fulfil those last orders or not. Not to mention those upcoming preorders I've yet to pay. Ideally would like to know something about that DX before deciding what to do about them. But whatever the outcome of this mess, I need some vacations from NY. (Won't drop them completely, as I've been shopping there for far too long) but will most definitely be getting more of my PO elsewhere from now on (rather than putting all my eggs in one basket and getting burnt.)
  12. Still finding it really hard to digest how they went about this mess. Most importantly, their reasoning behind it all. Either they are truly expecting for a few, (or already have them ). But in all probability, it's not enough to cover a fraction of all the preorders that have yet to be sent out. They mostly acted thay way hoping it would would push the majority of people to cancel their orders. But, unfortunately, there's still that one group of people who have yet to ask for refunds, want what they paid for and appear willing to wait as long as it'll take. As they've always been a greedy bunch, they'd probably rather refund everyone, in order to put this whole thing to rest like it had never happened. Then, wait a few months before listing all the few pieces they would've managed keep for a fortune. And if confronted about that stock, they'll only have to say it was just a small stock received much later, once everyone's orders had been cancelled/refunded. Not sure about such a scenario, but wouldn't put it past them. And again, I'm floored that for the most part they're continuing to ignore and brush-off the situation without any apology nor official statement (on their sh*tty FB page would be a start ). Wonder if next week will be any different. Who knows? At that stage, a likelyhood of 1% is better than nothing....I guess... .
  13. Just hoping this up coming Monday will be different, with some good news. Let me rephrase this, "with some kinda news". Best outcome for those of us who still have our 31-A preorders, would be an apology and/or "We will get stocks, but it won't be for another 3 + months". This would at least help us decide what to do rather than being left out in limbo with no contact nor explanation. And maybe , just maybe help out soften the damage caused to their reputation. (Not sure they care tbh, and probably assume that if they do loose any future business, it'll be mostly be from a few Macross-only customers.) At that stage, we shouldn't be the ones chasing after them for answers/apologies. It's going to be close to a month now. They can't indefinitely carry-on like that...Can they?
  14. Maybe....it's all that company's fault for taking too long, and the seller has noppin to loose using this as an excuse . Not even gonna mention that good for noppin guy who lets his wife do all the ordering etc ! I'm on a roll! Just kidding, of course , please don't bite my head off m(_ _)m. I meant noppin bad. At that stage, it's noppin no gain, let's just wait for week 4 and see. ( o.k ok, I'll stop.... )
  15. That's what I intended to do, but if you can't even choose on what to spend your voucher, it's unacceptable . Sentinel are known to reissue and do extra production runs for some of their more popular stuff (granted...not a lot....). If they intend to release all the bikes, and they sell well (AND are not utter rubbish like many other 'modern' Mospeada releases). They might produce more at a later date. At this stage, I just really don't understand how NY can give you a credit with 'rules' attached to it. WTF. Not only you don't get money back, nor your original order BUT, you can't choose what you spend this voucher on.!! Are you kidding me! This is crazy. I don't know what I'm going to do yet. And unless they somehow sort out this mess for the people who have yet to cancel their Kairos, I'll to drop all my preorders. And contact my CC/Bank regarding this rip-off. I never intended to boycott nor drop NY, but things are changing fast. They need to learn and I really wish they'd get dropped by more people, just to prove a point. You can't expect to treat your customers like crap without any repercussions on your business.
  16. WTF??? Definitely not going to pay for that Sentinel Mospeada now. Nor whatever else I was thinking of using that store credit, if I ever got one (as I haven't cancelled my order, and won't until the end of this BS situation.) should't be able to purchase whatever you please with that credit? Are they just plain f'd in the head?
  17. I'm with you here, but that's the nature of e Commerce nowadays. I'd be too time consuming to tailor a reply for each individual mail. Imagine, poor 'Fabrice' would be completely dead at the end of his work day. At that stage after 2 msgs sent from my part, I've stopped contacting them. It's clearly pointless, and I'm not too keen on getting a store voucher as a reply, (unless I've asked for it) . Waited that long already at that stage, another week is nothing right? (Being sarcastic obviously )
  18. O.k....started reading the posts from the last one then worked my way backwards, just saw this one. Well at least it's now the '3rd different' message that we're aware they've been sending. (I've only contacted them twice, once after a week and another a week after that...) The wording has changed slightly, they've added a "yet": They don't have an expected delivery timeline 'yet'. 'Maybe' they're still sure that they are expecting 'some' (the more time the less likely I can see them receiving everything) Anyways, another week down and absolutely no progress whatsoever. Monday will be week 4 .I still don't get how long they expect to wait for. And not sure why they haven't cancelled everything already unless they really have some kind of hope. As I was saying previously they were maybe just waiting for the PayPal Protections to end on most so they wouldn't have to refund in cash? Either that or as someone had mentioned a while back. The 'people/proxies' who bought for them just ended up keeping the orders? Only the ones ordered by staff members actually got sent? I'm still having some issues with that possibility but at that stage. We'll see on Monday. Nothing else to anyways, and I can't even cave in anymore having purposely bought other stuff worth total more than ¥45000 just so that I wouldn't be tempted :-( Congrats again to all who got something before the week-end.
  19. Congrats Slave IV! Finally you got yours. I thought you hadn't even managed to secure a piece. Anyways, enjoy!
  20. Thanks for pointing out the exact dates. I was under the impression that NY had left their order window much longer. It certainly felt that way. I remember checking out after and most other retailers by then had sold out, yet they still had it for sale.
  21. My bad, you misread the 'supposedly'. I couldn't remember who nor where I'd seen it. I don't only frequent this forum...I did say MW, FB etc. No offense whatsoever. Not too sure why you'd get offended in the first place? Only trying to figure out NY's reasoning (if any) concerning the dates and order for the ones that were shipped. Anyways, apologies if I offended you in any way. (at least you got your order, you should be happy..right?...)
  22. Thanks to Charles for the video. Good to have a clear summary most of the situation up until now. And hopefully we'll get an answer sooner rather than later. Should've mentioned NY somewhere on the title...Maybe a staff or whatever would've have eventually caught up on it somehow and even better maybe read what some people are currently thinking about their business practices. Maybe that would made them move their butts, give a real (not vague BS) and sort this mess out ASAP ..
  23. Wish I could share your optimism. For now, it looks like their priority is trying to refund rather than sort out the issue. And my 'suppositions' (waiting around for the PayPal cover dates to be over on the majority of orders etc) are just what they are. But they're suppositions based on what we have in front of us. (Not much from NY but enough to get an idea as to what they're doing). I never said that they do that all the time, have done it before nor that I will boycott them and never buy from them again. I will, I have some PO on the way this month, others after that too even some I've placed during this whole thing. Only pointing out that on this occasion, they messed up. Just common sense. I mean if that TWE closed earlier than they ever have previously (for a DX). How are NY supposed to just conjure up extra orders out of thin air? Mine was placed on the 10th, you'd expect it would've been early enough to secure it, but seems they can't even manage to sort out the ones placed on the 6th/7th. Up until now, from the info that can be gathered from MW, FB etc only one (or 2, I forgot) who 'supposedly' ordered on the 10th somehow received theirs. That's it for all orders placed after the 6th/7th! Not much.... However you look at it, it doesn't seem promising, and pretty much nothing that we're aware of has changed in the past 3 weeks. (aside from the fact that they've started issuing refunds)
  24. Sure, but as of late as I've mentioned with the past 3 HMR releases, all took more than a week before shipping. Maybe they used to be able to secure more orders, but lately, they're definitely not doing great.
  25. Pays to be pessimistic sometimes...at least when it hits the fan, it's no surprise.....Thought it was doomed from the get go after contacting them twice and getting those 2 copy/paste BS msgs..This whole 3 weeks waiting game was most likely intended to reach the end of PayPal's protection on the majority of orders so that they would refund the majority with store credit rather than give the money back. (Assuming most people wouldn't bother to contact their bank and have a refund via their CC) Not sure where it said that NY were looking/waiting for some inexistant 'extra production run' from Bandai (especially considering that at no point did Bandai hint they were in the process of manufacturing more stocks.). Looks like most of the Japanese customers who preordered got theirs. So no pbs as far as Bandai was concerned. That was figured out relatively early too. NY got greedy, left the PO window opened for three months. Where's the surprise? Didn't it seem weird to anyone that it was already sold out everywhere yet NY was still taking in orders? (No matter their history of leaving POs opened slightly longer this one was 2.5 months too long if not more) Not a coincidence that the HMR Ostrich standard release announced shortly after the Kairos closed in less than a day...and never reopened. They already knew they had completely messed up their upcoming DX release. (The exact same happened for the past 3 HMR releases, they took in tons of orders, and when release day came, they didn't have enough stocks. I waited 11 days for the VF-2SS, 9 or 10 for the Elintseekers and a long while too for the 35th Anniversarry HMR. That 3 in a row that were shipped way later than their usual timing. But those weren't TWE so they did manage to catch up on stock. Not this time unfortunately. Anyway...good luck. And who knows, maybe a few orders will get shipped, if you're lucky to have placed it on the first few days.....But at that stage, they'll most likely keep whatever they have left to list later on for a fortune....
