Wish I could share your optimism. For now, it looks like their priority is trying to refund rather than sort out the issue. And my 'suppositions' (waiting around for the PayPal cover dates to be over on the majority of orders etc) are just what they are. But they're suppositions based on what we have in front of us. (Not much from NY but enough to get an idea as to what they're doing). I never said that they do that all the time,have done it before nor that I will boycott them and never buy from them again. I will, I have some PO on the way this month, others after that too even some I've placed during this whole thing. Only pointing out that on this occasion, they messed up. Just common sense. I mean if that TWE closed earlier than they ever have previously (for a DX). How are NY supposed to just conjure up extra orders out of thin air? Mine was placed on the 10th, you'd expect it would've been early enough to secure it, but seems they can't even manage to sort out the ones placed on the 6th/7th. Up until now, from the info that can be gathered from MW, FB etc only one (or 2, I forgot) who 'supposedly' ordered on the 10th somehow received theirs. That's it for all orders placed after the 6th/7th! Not much.... However you look at it, it doesn't seem promising, and pretty much nothing that we're aware of has changed in the past 3 weeks. (aside from the fact that they've started issuing refunds)

Sure, but as of late as I've mentioned with the past 3 HMR releases, all took more than a week before shipping. Maybe they used to be able to secure more orders, but lately, they're definitely not doing great.

Pays to be pessimistic sometimes...at least when it hits the fan, it's no surprise.....Thought it was doomed from the get go after contacting them twice and getting those 2 copy/paste BS msgs..This whole 3 weeks waiting game was most likely intended to reach the end of PayPal's protection on the majority of orders so that they would refund the majority with store credit rather than give the money back. (Assuming most people wouldn't bother to contact their bank and have a refund via their CC) Not sure where it said that NY were looking/waiting for some inexistant 'extra production run' from Bandai (especially considering that at no point did Bandai hint they were in the process of manufacturing more stocks.). Looks like most of the Japanese customers who preordered got theirs. So no pbs as far as Bandai was concerned. That was figured out relatively early too. NY got greedy, left the PO window opened for three months. Where's the surprise? Didn't it seem weird to anyone that it was already sold out everywhere yet NY was still taking in orders? (No matter their history of leaving POs opened slightly longer this one was 2.5 months too long if not more) Not a coincidence that the HMR Ostrich standard release announced shortly after the Kairos closed in less than a day...and never reopened. They already knew they had completely messed up their upcoming DX release. (The exact same happened for the past 3 HMR releases, they took in tons of orders, and when release day came, they didn't have enough stocks. I waited 11 days for the VF-2SS, 9 or 10 for the Elintseekers and a long while too for the 35th Anniversarry HMR. That 3 in a row that were shipped way later than their usual timing. But those weren't TWE so they did manage to catch up on stock. Not this time unfortunately. Anyway...good luck. And who knows, maybe a few orders will get shipped, if you're lucky to have placed it on the first few days.....But at that stage, they'll most likely keep whatever they have left to list later on for a fortune....

Wow, impressed, that's a speedy refund. And exactly what I thought they were trying to achieve with all that waiting around. And from now on, if you even mention the word 'refund' in your enquiries, *poof* order cancelled and you're refunded. Talk about a deterrent from ever sending any further messages regarding your order being shipped. Pretty sure at that stage it won't be making any difference if you contact them or not. They're most likely going to start refunding all those preorders automatically. Anyone still clinging to the hope of those miracle-stocks? Looks like I will end up paying for that Mospeada PO after all (if it doesn't get delayed by Sentinel yet again of course....).

Another day....And surprise, nothing no change...( just saw Firefox' message, I completely agree.) And I truly believe everything I wrote. They're not sorting anything out, nor waiting for that 'magical stock' to materialise They sent out the few they had received, spacing them out, giving people hope in the process (and shut us up). When they're just waiting for their own refunds before announcing "Sorry here's your store credit". Simples? no? Never been truly worried about loosing the money ( sure, I'll be pissed, but it's unlikely, and a store credit is better than nothing right?). It's how they're going about this mess that drives me mad. Especially how their 2 msgs were written, from 'we're waiting for stocks.' , then the second message 'we haven't received all our stock' that rephrasing is not random, it changes everything....'Not received all our stock' does not necessarily imply they're waiting for more. Whatever.

I still don't get this. How can Bandai give companies any kind of discounts for TWE orders? Aren't TWE only sold to individuals as opposed to businesses? Or am I completely wrong here. How can a bulk buyer ask Bandai for let's say 2 crates of 100 when they're only sold to individuals and private addresses? Am I missing something here? (Like Bandai knowingly dealing with proxies?) Yeah, that did cross my mind. But again....we might all have received out store credits by then right? . So I'll use that..... And In case of a miracle ( like a huge influx of Vf-31 A suddenly appearing on the market)...I'll figure something out when that happens. (Hopefully before that Sentinel release....)

Decided to spend the rest of my monthly toy- budget, bought more stuff (no,no Macross stuff I have everything I want aside from that F'ing 31-A, ). ¥45000 for 5 small figures. Could've put it on that cursed DX but out of principle I won't. Also, giving up on that Sentinel Mospeada PO. They're not honouring their Preorders on time, why should I bother paying on time. They'll just cancel it do whatever to my rank. Stuff that. Kept enough for the HMR. That'll be it from NY this month. Whether it's they're fault or not, shouldn't be our problem. We paid right away, 6 months ago, shouldn't be expected to wait weeks with no valid explanation.... NY have really lost the credibilty they had in my eyes. Whether they deliver or not, to me, the damage is done. The "we did not get all our stocks yet" or whatever bull crap ain't flying. How are they supposed to get stocks when there aren't any??? Said it before : They are most probably waiting for THEIR OWN F'ING REFUNDS. Then, they'll be able to come clean and refund/shop credit or whatever they're going to do for all the unfulfilled order. Looking like heroes for having tried for so long to get us our orders, (when all other shops refunded right away.) Does anyone really believe for 1 second that they are actually sourcing the VFS from other stores/sources and paying the considerable price hike from their own pocket just to send us our DXs. LOL. They probably did get their stock, but only a few pieces. They know what people are saying on FB and forums. So by sending out a few here and there they are just buying time. Otherwise, why only send so few, and spread it like they are doing? Win time and get their money back maybe?! Did anyone who ordered on the 6th or 7th even 8th had dupes? Hum....why didn't they sent those ones out then? Might sound pessimistic, and hope i'm just completely wrong but it's starting to look more and more obvious that most orders aren't gonna get shipped.

I really would expect some 'official' explanation by next week. As again, weeks just go by and nothing changes. How long do they expect people to wait before getting p'd off? Even though that person who called them was somewhat assured they're waiting for stocks. Really seems that they are stalling rather than genuinely waiting for those mysterious stocks to materialise. Like others have pointed out in that particular circumstance their customer services is appalling. Is it that hard to sent a proper explanation as to what the real issue is. Without having to chase for an answer. Really makes you think even they don't know a thing and still not clued in as to the lower amount TWE produced. Maybe they are simply waiting for their own refunds, and once they' en recovered most of it, we'll get a : - 'Sorry, we couldn't secure more than 20 copies of that particular item, here's a store voucher with ¥500 compensation. Sorry for the wait & don't forget we have other Macross items in our store" I'm inclined to believe that's what they are truly doing, just waiting for their own refunds before starting to issue the store vouchers around. As for the lucky few who got theirs mostly randomly, it was most probably to throw people on forums/FB etc off the scent. By relying on the good old' : "Well if some people got theirs, no reason why I shouldn't eventually receive mine, I'll wait in silence hoping it arrives soon" Really fuming if that's truly the case.

TF was up with that stupid font size.... *Sigh* Was concerned they'd ask me which retailer I used to get the order ( and like slap them a law-suit for not abiding to the TWE regulations or simply not allowing any future Bandai product to be distributed by them....). Although hey most likely wouldn't give a toss, and just ask me to contact the retailer as I gave the money to them...But if they start getting more and more request like that, might start realising that many other countries would like to access TWE stuff directly, and willing to pay the additional international shipping rather having to use scalpers or morons to order on our behalf and then not deliver.....

O.k....so if the timing of the PO windows and other stuff have nothing to do with the delays? What then? A cargo full of NY orders stuck somewhere.? I still really don't get how they could continue taking orders in when TWE window had closed fairly quickly? Even by ordering 10 per account. I know they always list extras at an inflated price when all POs have been shipped, (or as soon a the item is available). In this case it has never been available once on the site not even a few for like ¥50000. ( they'd be shooting themselves in the foot if they dared ) NY might've gotten complacent, not expecting their usual shady TWE 'ordering tactics' to let them down. They Just proceeded normally, and stuff happened they couldn't have anticipated. Every good business should have a back up plan for such eventualities....not hem it seems. Again, isn't odd that the NY's standard HMR Ostrich PO only stayed open 1 day (if that)... Maybe they're finally learning now...(kinda late for the Kairos). Hoping that bandai is actually producing additional batches to cover the additional demand and QC issues, but just can't seem to see it happening. Without that, how else could NY be expecting to fulfil their orders without stocks. ( 4 a week isn't stock, it's a joke...). I mean does anyone truly believe it'll happen? I personally want to, but have a hard time see how it could be done. It feels like stalling rather than anything. I truly hope that I'm completely wrong on everything.

Thanks for the effort for summarising the translation CharlesXavier. m(_ _)m Lol Good one : - PO ended early ( as I've been pointing out forever, the windows stay opened WAY too long...goodbye anything placed after October or even earlier!) and again : for -"not opening another round of POs." Unless they (Bandai) are in the middle of doing another round to make up for QC and furious customers, I think only a tiny amount will ever receive theirs....As for dupes....even more unlikely by now. Anyway, good to know I had looked all over the Jp web for articles but couldn't find one that had any relevant explanation.. thanks again.

Another day....Going out to have my bridge (s) refitted....Hoped for so good news....But nope, again nothing...... At least this 'investigation' seems to be moving a bit . We have now gathered it's not alphabetical, certainly not by rank. I'd also throw out EMS priorities out the window.(I haven't used EMS with them for quite a few of my last orders as I had noticed some delays processing stuff already a few times prior, and was furious to pay for EMS only to wait a week or more before they shipped my stuff.) I still personally don't think it's random. For a business of that size, random just does not work, they'd be way too many delivery issues all across the board with NY if it was truly random. Same goes for items sent in orders of categories. It's most probably like one unified numbered database for all categories. (Most of them at least, maybe video-games etc have their own). At that stage, it's either by order number or the good old : "let's just send a few here and there, just to cool those people off". All I know is that once again the outcome is pretty much the same, another week is going to come to an end with about 4/5 shipped....Truly looks bleak no matter how optimistic you want to be. The more the time passes, the likelyhood anything happening is shrinking (as well as the tiny amount of stocks they do manage to get here and there). The price isn't coming down and the "Bandai is just late shipping more" is unlikely....but still not out the window. Some issues and delays with the manufacturers for that last last batch or something? Personally, I won't be cornered paying a ridiculous price for one, that I know for certain. It doesn't come through, that's that for this one.

At that stage, looks like it's based on luck rather than anything..... Ordered on the 10th, yet someone else who ordered on the same date received theirs? Alphbetical orders don't make sense either...I would've been high on the list had it been the case. From the beginning I thought their stuff got shipped by order number rather than type of product. And still think so. But, when the first few were shipped off, most probably no one at NY had a clue of the upcoming issues. Now, add the raising price to the mix and who knows what their reasoning is at that stage. For the moment, if they can't even provide singles how do they ever expect to honor dupes?... Not sure that'll ever happen at the rate things are going.....(;_;).

Not that there's much else to do, keeping our fingers crossed is starting to get tiresome.....every day the same thing. Really wondering why NY seem so sure that they'll get some shipment? Maybe the bulk of their shipment is stuck in HK airport or something along those lines? They can't realistically expect to fulfil all their orders at a rate of 2/week. What about all the orders placed late October/November...even December? Are those just being stalled until they start to get more complaints? Pretty sure they've gathered by now that most people would rather just shut up,not complain and avoid bombarding them with mails as long as there's any hint of getting something....so they keep hinting..... So many questions, no answers (;_;)

For now...but if the situation still hasn't changed by next month, pretty sure most of us would've requested a refund by then. Ideally, I'd like to know something before that Sentinel Mospeada release. Would save me having to shell out for that PO. Kinda regret getting it tbh. Price is a tad excessive for the scale and I have enough Mospeadas in my collection. Crazy thread though. Usually after a 'hot' release, we get loads of pics, comments regarding the item etc. This time around it's been rather low. Just shows the amount of people that had their orders canned by their usual retailers.... Or...could it be that it's not such a great VF after-all?! QC issues such as poor paint apps, not to mention that depressingly realistic colour scheme. Bandai knows the Macross market best, no one wants to see dull grey fighters, only rainbow-coloured VFs... right? Rambling as usual....

Thanks for the heads-up. Really much appreciated. m(_ _)m Could be BS, but, but if it was, I hope they would've just apologised and refunded right after the call rather than stalling yet again. Unless..... they discreetly follow up on this thread and knew that it would' cause a mass 'refund-request' frenzy Still looks like they are sending one a day if that. Great and all...but at that rate, it'll take months! We're still on the 7th October orders! No to mention all the dupe orders that have been put on the back-burner...Truly hope that the rhythm picks up IF/WHEN they ever receive that mysterious delivery form Bandai (as if Bandai would send them a crate of 100 or more TWE ....). Anyways, had enough of all that crap. To ease the stressing out a bit and think of something else, went and spent some $$$. No, not a Kairos (nor anything Macross). Wouldn't touch this VF with a barge pole at its current value, would make me feel like a complete moron if I caved in at ¥40000 or whatever. Either NY delivers or that's it for this DX.

I read the description, but aside from the Bandai promo pics, the ones that are from the actual item show it opened up....Again, could be stock photos from somewhere else....Whatever the case may, not spending that kind of cash on this VF. I collect loads of other Japanese toys aside Macross and personally would rather put that kinda cash towards some vintage piece rather than something that just came out not even a month ago. Trying really HARD to convince myself that I don't 'need' this valk...It's not working .

Unlikely as they most probably use the same proxies regularly. For them to loose any future business with NY for the sake of 1 VF is kinda pointless. NY sell loads of other TWE releases, most being way more profitable and 'popular' than Macross. Doesn't make sense, not to mention loyalty is primordial in Japanese culture.

Highly unlikely.....Don't think they're the kind of retailer who would bend backwards going as far as buying any pieces from YHJp or whatever to make up for their mistake (leaving the Po window opened way too long to begin with....)

Erm, first major defect: the theme is too 'stealthy'. Can't see it at all..... Sucks that 3 weeks in, we still haven't moved further than the 6th/7th October orders. Wonder how long it'll take to get to the ones placed after those first few October days. Looks bleak for late October/November or December orders. (;_;)... Pretty sure most of us wouldn't care so much if there was any hint of certainty that all POs would be honored one way or the other. Not much that can be done at that stage but wait and see, but It's just hard to imagine that NY are waiting for a massive shipment of 31-As though. And congrats to Derex!

Aside from it's 'grittier' theme, I mostly wanted the Kairos to display with my YF-30. Incidentally I had also preordered the Chronos from NY when it came out without any issues. Sure, it wasn't an exclusive,( but an amazing piece nonetheless. And really different to all other Frontier Valks that had been released until then.) I guess it was more of an obscure valk, and it took a while before your average collector started to realise how 'cool' the YF-30 truly was was. Took at at least 4/6 months for the prices to climb up. Was also clinging to that, but as the weeks go by, I'm starting to loose hope... . Third week now since this situation started. At least, in the beginning, some people were getting shipping notifications, as well as a few pieces delivered here and there, but now....nothing.....By staying 'vaguely' optimistic, NY aren't getting swamped by refund requests, that's a plus for them I guess. Who knows? At this stage, it could be any number of things. *Sigh*.
