  1. If that's going to be the case, I truly (and selfishly )hope they're going to be 'fair'. By that, I mean chronologically prioritise the orders, and if you bought 5, refund 4 and send you one. (Would you rather get 1 or none at all? I for sure would settle for one ) I'd be fuming to get 'jumped' by some 'multiples' orders placed late November or whenever knowing I placed mine pretty much right at the beginning of October..... Hopefully this fiasco will have a good ending for everyone involved....
  2. IXTL, forgot when you placed your order? I placed mine on the 10th. Seems that the last lucky few who got a 'preparation in progress' mail were placed on the 6th. If they are currently sorting out orders placed on the 6th, I have 4 days of orders before they start on the ones placed on the 10th. Maybe they are trickling whatever stock they get in order of payment after all? But from what can be gathered the forum, doesn't seem like it's more than 1 or 2 a day, if that .( Ultimately, it doesn't bode well for orders placed late October/November etc.) Could it be that in order to avoid raising any 'suspicions' from TWE, they placed all their orders from different accounts, all got shipped to different addresses, and it's now taking forever shipping them back to their main warehouse?? *Sigh* At any rate, we could sit and debate the 'what ifs', all day. I'm still not sure what to do, was initially willing to wait it out, but their lack of communication is p'ing me off ( aside the 1 formatted reply I received 6 days ago). Don't really feel like having my account terminated nor loosing all my other current preorders for having cancelled that one, and not sure the Paypal protection route would be any better. Either way, I can't afford to loose the money from that cursed Kairos .
  3. Another day and still F all . Hopefully the Deculture gods heard our plight..... Otherwise...that's it, life-time boycott for Bandai, I sell everything (keeping all my Popy stuff though, but anything with a Bandai logo, up for grabs). I'll only collect Toynami's stuff..........or not. Really tempted to sell this cursed preorder. P'd off checking up that frozen 'order status' 50 times a day. Seriously, a 'proper' explanation should be in order by now. Are they just waiting for the all PayPal 'insurance/guarantees' to run out before announcing something. Really disappointed how they're going about this fiasco.
  4. Rub it in Spanner......... I meant "enjoy you b'strd" All that is kind of understandable (Bandai not producing enough or whatever the case might be) BUT for a store to keep you cash and not even bother to send you any explanations, apologies is the worse in terms of customer service. Yes sure a lot of us got that formatted reply, big deal, had to write to get it. They have a duty to their customers and we shouldn't be chasing around for an answer or apology, they either already know it's doomed, or they are trying to get the orders in. Either way, the only time we'll hear from them is when/if we get a refund. Kinda sly, if you think about it as letting people in limbo without any infos, they are less likely to get a mass of PayPal or CC chargebacks... Sad that they have the same outlook drug-dealers have towards junkies, they don't give a crap, as they know their punters will wait, (in the rain/snow blizzard no matter what). As for boycotting them, it will be but a small dent in their profits. People will still go back to them no matter what they say now....heck I POd, that next HMR release as soon as it opened. Sure, I am fuming, but unfortunately for now, there's not much that can be done.
  5. Yup....They didn't waste any time with the next HMR release.... Really hope it's nothing but some 'normal' issues that will be solved with the Kairos. As I mentioned in another rambling, all my last POs with NY were sent with a more than a week delay. The longest was for the HMR VF-2SS, it took 10 days after release before they shipped it, and same the the HMR Elintseeker.
  6. Paid for mine on the 10th October, (currently in France). Thought I got it on the day the Po'd opened... but nope. Anyway....as far as them selling their stock on Yh.Jp, or whatever other shady practices, highly unlikely, they deal with thousands upon thousands of different lines, products, etc, can't imagine they'd steep so low, just for a DX. As for asking more for it. How could they justify it? NY : " Right you Macross cockroaches, here's the current situation, we have 200 pieces but sold 1000 as our temp staff hired before X-Mas, did not get trained on our ordering system and left the preorders opened too long for that item. So available stocks will be put into a lottery draw, send prayers to your Deculture gods you might get lucky " ?? On a slightly different topic,(wrong section, but as we're discussing NY latest Po fiasco..) Earlier they had the Po for the HMR Ostrich. Got one as soon as the PO opened...Then, around 7:00 Pm Tokyo time, like a few hours later, it was already sold out...( they'll most probably put more tomorrow as they closed up after the PO opened), I mean we're talking Standard HMR release, highly unlikely that it's already sold out.....then again... This is getting tedious though...*Sigh*
  7. Erm, I seem to remember their PO stay opened way too long (or so it seemed). It was sold out everywhere, yet they were still taking orders....
  8. One thing about NY, do they even prioritise their orders? (At least for TWE or other 'specials' that require immediate payement). Some people might've have paid /po'd the Kairos in November or later, and yet got theirs sent earlier? Infuriating for the customers who paid early October just as the Po opened. I really hope they go by date when/if they ever get any stock. I've contacted them once last week regarding the issue only to get the obligatory formatted BS. I would've much rather appreciated a formatted apology without having to chase for it. (...ok....I would've been p'd off either way...but still....). Who knows? Maybe in a few weeks we'll get some concrete news. This whole thing is getting tiresome, and at this stage, I'd welcome a refund over checking my NY order status 3 times a day like a plonker.
  9. Makes you wonder if Bandai truly gives 2 monkeys about what the 'fans' really want. I mean they could still produce more realistic schemes, have whatever idols they want, and still please both camps, (hardcore Macross fighter aficionados and the more casual Idol/kawaï camp) Exact same thing with the Soc line. It started well, but somewhere along the line, they lost the momentum. I mean, 70% of the latest releases are kinda rubbish imo, (And all those new 'Dynamic/Anorexic' re-re-re lease of Mazinger/Grendizer etc). Evolution toys on the other hand do release some true classics, unfortunately, the quality ain't there (and the prices aren't justified). I would've paid a lot for some SOC releases of Mechander, X-Bomber, Diapolon or Daikengo etc. Not sure Bandai care too much as long as they can milk yet another version of Mazinger. Disappointing. Sure, they do come up with some good stuff, but it's getting more and more limited. As for series like Macross that have such legacies, they should by now have a pretty clear idea about what the fans truly want. Both in terms of storyline and merchandising. Macross Delta is the only one in the entire series I never finished. Tried, several times, but really couldn't get into it. And I remember thinking Frontier was 'meh'....it's a masterpiece next to Delta! (my personal opinion, of course I know Delta has its fans, no need to bite my head off). All that...just to say that the demand for more 'realistic' VFs is definitely here, probably more so than the ' box of crayons' schemes.....again it's a matter of balance..Rambling too much....
  10. *Sigh* cannot help worrying regarding the NY situation. I have also received ( after contacting them yesterday) the : " Bla-Bla-Bla, not enough stock received, though mate we'll see what we can do" (pretty much what it means) The worrying part of this formatted reply, nowhere are they mentioning: "geez dude don't worry, you'll get your f'ing toy". Also, as expected, Sentinel have yet delayed their Mospeada. Kinda glad as it gives me another month to really think it over (I'm still not sure I really need more Mospeadas....really pricey for the scale too, and all that delay...maybe the design's not as perfect as it seem to appear on pics...) Anyways, 3rd time this has happened to me with NY recently. And up until now they've pulled through every time ( with 11 days delays in some cases, but better some delay than nothing.....) Hopefully, that's just a new NY trend. To all of you mofos that received theirs, be careful not to drop them.....They're kinda fragile apparently Just kidding! Enjoy! And thanks for the pics, keep em coming
  11. Good one....my exact feelings..
  12. That's exactly what I'm trying to explain.....I couldn't to care less when I get it, but, if you pay for a particular way of shipping, (EMS) you have some expectations.
  13. I know Sentinel have pushed back the release at least twice already. (Wonder if it's going to be pushed back again? I have yet to receive a payment request for it and the release date is supposedly on the 31st) .I wasn't implying it had anything to do with NY, only that the more it gets pushed back, the more I wonder if it's really a necessary purchase for me (having quite a few in my collection already). As far as NY, all my last preorders were delayed considerably. An average of 8-11 days to process preorders. Granted, not the end of the world, but when they used to do it in 1-2 days it's kinda long. (especially when you go for EMS and end up waiting as long as Registered...). Not badmouthing them, been using them for years and for the most part have always been happy with their services only that lately, they seem to be taking much longer to process orders.
  14. Not sure if it's just random, but some of my last preorders from NY were all posted late. On the top of my head, the HMR Elintseeker, took them 10 days before it was shipped. Same exact thing with the HMR VF-2SS before that. I have also POd the Sentinel Mospeada, (delayed like twice already), but still not paid for that one. Not sure I'm going to bother now, what's the point if it's to wait weeks to get it (also...out of all the Mospeada bikes in my collections, my favourite is still my childhood DX Gakken one.... ). Getting sidetracked...If NY continue down this road, they're going to loose business fast. Not even an ' your order is being prepared' notification....are they on hols or what?
  15. Same boat here. Ordered the VFs-31 and paid for early October 2017 literally when NY had just put it up. But still no news....no 'preparation in progress' or whatever. I really hope they didn't leave the preorders opened too long and sold way more than they could provide. If I remember right, the PO stayed opened for a while (when that kinda stuff tends to get the 'sold out status' in 5 minutes). If so, hopefully they'll prioritise the orders by date of payment ( there was no 'pay later' option so I assume everyone paid upfront.) Anyway.....fingers crossed everything will go smoothly for everyone...When I see some already priced up at $500 it gets me worried .

As many have pointed out already....The QC just ain't great...Sprue marks etc. Worse part, right out of the box, there was a crack on the right hand side back part. Not easy to spot. As it doesn't really show in any modes. Like an idiot though I didn't take a pic of it before starting to fill it with putty. It's just behind that dark/bronze double metal hinge. You should be able to see the putty that's a different kind of white as I haven't sanded anything. That entire metal part for the legs/arms etc is screwed in directly into that plastic and there's a screw more or less right behind this part (it was probably screwed in too tight....but not keen on dismantling or doing anything more though). It's not as if it was going to break or anything, but still kinda disappointing as I can't stand cracks/stress marks etc.... Wonder if anyone else noticed cracks on these particular spots? Otherwise, it looks great, happy with it. BUT....feels way too finicky and fragile... Plus those joints are supa' tight!!! (haven't transformed it yet....Don't think I'll bother, as most of my HMRs are displayed in Battroid and I still have the shitty Evo Toy 1/60 in fighter mode.... Will be getting the Nexx (for completion's sake...) Hopefully the Qc would have improved slightly by then....

Box art is amazing...Huge box too!?.Arggh....so annoyed I didn't go for Ems when I preordered it.....Hopefully Registered Airmail will get there fast.....
  18. Must admit it looks good next to the 1/60. Aesthetically, aside from looking a bit bare, it's not too bad .Wonder if it'll stand the test of time after a few transformations though. But still too many flaws for current retail price. With a bit a luck, the price will get cut. Not sure I'd want to pay more than ¥17000 for it. For once, I managed to control my 'urges'. Hadn't pod it when it was announced (a first for me). Shame Bandai/Arcadia/Fewture etc don't seem interested in doing a 'proper' one....I mean after all the versions that came out up until now, you'd think it wouldn't be too complicated to come up with a good design/materials etc.....who knows....might happen one day.

Really anxious to get that VF-2SS. Was so disappointed by the Evo Toy ver (although still in my collection....). Don't think the HMR will be perfect, but bound to be better than ET's attempt no doubt about that. Now, just hoping the 'preparation in progress' doesn't take 2 weeks like it did for the HMR 35th Anniversary ver. *Sigh*. After that, the long wait for March and the 31-A Kairos, really looking forward to this one more than anything else. Unless some more stuff get announced, like the elusive 1/35 VF-1, the other DX Drakens or more HMR pieces (Super Ostrich maybe.... )
  20. Still not convinced....I have a stress mark 'phobia', (you know, the kind of people who boils their toys in order to remove stress marks....). When toys right out of the box have stress marks left and right not great. I was actually back on the fence as to ordering one. But the pics of the ankles part kept coming into my mind. Not to mention having to do some DIY after getting it (issues with the screws etc). Not impressed by the lack of details and below-average manufacturing. Although, scale and articulations aren't bad. Also, you get one, you're bound to get the others (as far as I'm concerned anyways....).¥90000 for all 3. Too much. On the other hand if it ever goes on sale, at an 'reasonable' price...who knows.
  21. Thanks for the pics! I really don't know...but that blue molded plastic . Kinda like an unpainted Gunpla finish? Especially on the legs for some reason. Looks kinda cheap . Some parts don't seem to be properly aligned too (like a lot of Evo toy products unfortunately.). Overall 1st visual impressions are...'meh'. Better than expected, but far from blown away. Not to mention the VF-2SS fiasco, I still haven't forgotten about that one. Like many, I preordered it on day one....And was sooo disappointed and p'd off when I received it (not to mention the price plummeting to less than 50%.....a few months later) Looks like a 'bland' Legioss, poor detailing and poor material. Having to pay ¥26000 or more shipped to repaint the whole thing... Not sure it's worth the price, (for me anyway). Wishing Evo-Toy would sell their products as kits at a fraction of the price. Rambling aside....personally gonna pass for now. Might get another Sentinel Mospeada Riobot instead. Better investment imo.
  22. Exactly! Unfortunately, at first glance it looks....kinda 'meh', not bad by any means, but not mind blowing . It's not exactly supa' detailed, kinda bare. I mean, are we supposed to decal the thing ourselves? For now, there are a lot more upcoming releases that I'd rather put my money on.....Wait and see....
  23. Was tempted......Usually get those stuff right away....But this time, did not even preorder it. Not getting one until I get more hands on feedbacks. I still haven't forgotten their VF-2SS. And the details on their Legioss, aren't that impressive. Big panel lines etc amd looks bare. Not sure what was their vision for this version, an up to date Gakken? (If so, it looks the part ). Like many, I'm really on the fence with this one. I don't own a single modern Legioss. Only the vintage Gakken Versions (all scales too!). Willing to wait even if it means spending more to get one later if it's 'that good'. For now, it's a pass.....(and I need $$$$ for that DX Tetsujin....will take a chance with that one )

Finally NY moved their asses. Received it today .Pre-ordered it when it was announced and they shipped it 10 days after release? Dissapointing....but whatever. On the other hand, I wasn't really looking forward to this release, bought mostly it for completion's sake and 35th Anniversary excuse, nothing else.... But was pleasantly surprised, it actually looks great! Not sure why, but the Bandai preview pics made it look kinda 'meh'. A weird piece which looks better irl than on pics somehow. Quick snap of mine with a 'soft-mod' it...(like all my other HMR VF-1S.....)
