  1. Okay, hopefully my guess is high!
  2. The king is dead... Long live the king!
  3. What did they charge for their clear stand alone display stand? Hopefully they don't have to pay much for licensing right for the launch arm design but there's that and and the added complexity of the arm and all its bits. My guess is 6,500¥.
  4. The Yamato method might not have worked as well with the new way of getting the arms into position. The pegs are pretty substantial so if there is a looseness issue, the clear nail polish trick should work well. Hopefully if there are complaints on this release Bandai resolves it with all the other little fit issues popping up.
  5. I think you're ignoring a lot of improvements to find something that's not even a negative yet on the thought it may be a negative some day.
  6. As I wrote it, I was comparing to the 1/48, but I should reference that the 1/60 V2 does have the ability. Thank you for pointing that out and I'll update the text to make that clear later tonight.
  7. I agree about pegs opposite gravity but if they were loose it'd be a very easy fix. I suspect with how little wiggle room there is in that area, any sagging would be minimal.
  8. I don't even know what you guys are talking about, the arms peg into place against the back plate.
  9. I do love the pegs though in comparison to the Yamato 1/48. At least they made it easy.
  10. It's the early adopter curse. Hopefully now that I've banged up my toy word will get out there to be a bit more gentle in that area and people won't follow in my footsteps. Anymoon.com saves valks lives! Maybe that's a bit dramatic... OH HEY, evidence that I'm not the culprit! The crack was there before i pulled the toy from the tray!
  11. I'm going to assume it functions way better but it doesn't look like much of a change from the original release....
  12. Wow, eagle eyes guys! That actually is a hairline crack (coming up from the black on the lower left-side, your right) chest plate), I just investigated.... wonder if it happened from the transformation step where it gets pulled up? Picture and review updated! Thanks for the catch. If anyone else sees a similar crack, let me know. For now, I'll assume I'm just too manly.
  13. Thank you, I'll be sure to show the whole thing off when I do the video and maybe I'll edit the description in that photo also. I still have a couple pics to add to the article, including a pic of all the common complaint items (loose pilot, easily unpegged nose, easily skewed leg fins).
  14. Got my text review up... now to start working on the video review.... http://anymoon.com/blog/?p=12016

    Hi-Metal R

I figured it was drawn small then made bigger. Maybe option one and two.
  16. Sure, I'm super curious about the super parts, particularly the backpack boosters. Can't wait to see more of them...
  17. Negative. if you put the toy on the stand the other way it will be diving down, there's no pivot for direction of the nose.
  18. I was wondering about that too! Did they downsize the backpack at some point?
  19. So someone definitely got the pilot size wrong... but if Yamato got it right with their V2... then it looks like the DX is probably right also and the Yamato 1/48 was way too big...
  20. Are you guys sure the pilot really is small? Like, have you measured it and extrapolated height?

    Bandai DX VF-31

So the next Bandai announcement for a June release has to be a Delta toy right? Either Chuck or Armor most likely though there are some potential wild cards out there. It seems like the armor was the thing they were teasing the most.
  22. Even without it being diecast, it already operates WAY better than any Yamato backpack hinge. That said, it scares me that there's no obvious locking mechanism for installing fast packs or other boosters.
  23. Didn't they tease something about accessory pilot figures? Or am I misremembering?
  24. Yes, it seems like they're a hair larger than Bandai expected them to be... like if you could shave them just a tiny bit toward the top they would fit better.

The. Q Rau was an option in the poll the Monster won. The N-Ger showed up in what looked to be a finished prototype at a few shows before disappearing like the Tomahawk and Phalanx.
