  2. 1:48 (3) VF-1J Hikaru VF-1J Max VF-1S Roy 1:100 (1) VB-6 Monster
  3. Ah but atleast the episode paves the way for a possible limited edition gold qrau toy
  4. Well, played a bit with my monster last night... (ya ya I know ) The instructions were indeed a bit of a let down but I managed to get the thing into Gerwalk mode afterall. In the end the change from shuttle to gerwalk was rather easy once you get passed the instructions. I noticed that out of the box the hole at the tip of the arm gun barrels which lock at the front of shuttle mode already had a stress line on them!!! I don't think it is that bad though cause looking at it the clip is a hook clip and not a peg as I first thought and I think it would still clip into the inner square hole even if the outer circle edge got cut. Also the trick of pulling the legs down a bit to lock the side tabs in shuttle mode works ok and in fact maybe that is correct afterall? I dont think if the clip was the other way around that the "gap" between the legs and body would be any different cause the gap is due to just the overal under body sticking out. I reckon if the clip was the other way around you probably have to push the legs up rather than down so be about the same. Overall, I'm loving my monster though the Fiance wasn't too impressed with it!!! (luckily she likes the Valks and even liked SDF Macross when showed it to her )
  5. Mine just arrived at work so I had to take my monster out and play with it a bit!!! It is definately big and feels "heavy" too compared to a VF-1. Impressive!! Most Impressive!! however that backwards clip thing is there on the wings and when I took it out of the box both leg / wing bits fell down in a kinda shuttle gerwalk mode... plus my box had a bash in the corner but the toy wasn't harmed by it. The shuttle clip thing kinda bugs me but will keep this thing in Battloid mode / Gerwalk most of the time anyway.... Shall have some fun tonight playing with my monster at home, but I should be careful not to over do it...
  6. Didnt envision the garage door concept in sections like a normal garage door rather say a solid piece of glass / plastic that would lift up and then slide into the top. Hard to describe I guess. Kinda lika having a lcd screen hide away in a car stereo. Attached picture. First shot, door is closed. Second shot door is opened. 3rd shot door is opened but pushed back into cabinet. A wacky idea!? might be neat though if could design it.
  7. EP3 Picture Spoilers http://www.aptirrelevance.com/sw-archive/s...php?browse=rots Found this is another forum. Some of these photos have been posted already some might be new.

  9. I read an article in a local newspaper this morning that the picture was put together digitally. i.e. some cast were shot in Australia, some shot in another location, etc, then put together digitally to make one large photo of the cast.
  10. Coke (5 900 000 results) versus Pepsi (4 010 000 results) The winner is: Coke
  11. You can find some pictures of the box set here: http://www.tfclub.com/tffans/rom/200412060001.shtml and some menu screens here: http://www.tfclub.com/tffans/rom/200412070006.shtml Can't find the link with the screen grabs but saw it around there somewhere... EDIT: Found some various screen cap links http://www.tfclub.com/tffans/rom/200409070001.shtml http://www.tfclub.com/tffans/rom/200404210001.shtml This is a chinese fan site so the text is in chinese but all the pictures are on the one page. I bought Season 3/4 box set a while ago (same company and probably the same DVDs as shipped in the wooden box set) and the video looked and sounded fine to me. I did note some minor transfer glitches here and there like a frame missing or blanking very a split second but nothing major. The packaging is basic for the DVDs just a plastic container box with the DVDs in a CD sleeve jacket thing. No fancy DVD cases or anything. The price was good for me, just 10 GBP as opposed to about 25-30 GBP. Overall, I'm satisfied with the ones I have bought just wish I saw that box set earlier.
  12. "my pet monster, a monster as a friend, hes big and blue and scary..." blue? green? I laughed out of my chair reading about everyone's monster!!!!
  13. Was looking at Yamato's website today (Japan) and came across the following pop up URL: Yamato Mobile Promo which talks about accessing their site on your mobile? The intersesting thing however is the silouhetted VF-1S picture which looks like a 1/48 but I'm not sure what it refers to as can't read Japanese. Is there anyone here who can read it and understand what it's about? Is it another re-issue, or a TV version or some other special valk or just a general thing. maybe a note about the already released 3rd reissue. Thanks,
  14. Oh wait, something moved on the shelf, oh no, Hikaru tries to take a peek under Minmay's skirt. (I think Roy might approve though)
  15. Nice collection Kensei and the new display cabinets sound cool. The opening door would probably be best for viewing as they would give you a clear view of the collection when closed. A sliding door wouldn't be as clear where the panels meet when closed. Does that make sense? Crazy thought I wonder if would be possible to make a kinda garage door type door? When closed, would be like the normal door, but when opening, would save space as would fold up into the cabinet and not stick out... As this is a picture thread, here's a snap from my small collection. Apologies for the quality as I used my camera phone. The figures on the shoulders are a lucky cat and buddah!? Thought it was a cute place to put them. Cheers,
  16. I came across the Figure Ou issue while searching the forums. I take it this a hobby magazine type book like Dengenki Hobby and the like? Still would be nice though to have a dedicated book, just eye candy to look at . While its great to find and look at the toys online, such as the many Yamato VF pics on the site which helped convice me more and more to buy my first one its not the same as having a book in hand to gloss over. Will check out the Figure Ou, if I can find a copy somewhere. Thanks.,

  18. Just wondering if anyone knows of any books that show Macross toys similar in fashion to the "Transformers Generations" book or the new "Transformers First Series Complete" by Jive. Both of these books are coffee table books (I guess) consisting of 100+ pages of photos of the toys and other bits of info. Has something similar ever been published for Macross? Thanks,
  19. Thanks. Well, aside from the 1S I've got the Max Super 1J and the normal Hikaru 1J. I actually wanted to get the 1S as my first valk but missed out so am pleased the 3rd re-issue came out. Now if only they had a TV version or perhaps a TV version add on pack consisting of hands and pilot thrown in with some fast packs....
  20. Transformers in a way for me!? What you say!? Well, liked Transformers for the robots, etc, then saw a commercial for Robotech Macross Saga and saw well, robots which was the initial hook that drew me in. After that hook, when I started watching the show the hook shifted to the actual story. I got into the characters and was surprised to see people die, etc. It was a cartoon soap opera and quite different than anything I had seen before on Canadian TV at the time. The robots (mech) were still cool too Later I found out all about the HG stuff and seeked out SDF Macross info which led me to Macross Plus, Macross 2, DYRL, SDF Macross, Macross 0 and Macross 7. Whole lot of Macross... but it was that first Macross / RT that grabbed me and started my interest in Anime... Cheers,
  21. Hi, I'm new to the boards but have been lurking for a year now Just got my VF-1S the other day and thankfully it turned out pretty ok. No missing pieces and the joints felt tight when moving them and the backpack hinge seems ok. On the other hand, the skulls are crooked, but only very slightly and the head is a bit wobbly as well in fighter / gerwalk mode. I also noticed that on mine, the left (from the pilots view) nosecone has a sort of scraped look to it. It kinda looks like someone took a razor and scraped that side of the valk. Also, one of the intake covers had some glue bits stuck on it. Overall, I am happy, now just have to worry about that VB-6 Monster which is shipping. PS: Happy New year to everyone out there and thanks for rekindling my Macross flame and starting my valk addiction! (small collection at 3 but was only going to buy 1) Cheers,
