  1. I played it for a while...no complaints, but WoW just wont let me leave for anything else!
  2. Hey all...just got my power back last night. Storm sucked, being without power for almost 5 days was worse. Wilma Video Shot at the beginning of the storm. Neighbor's house for all to see now... Clean broken tree at the base of the trunk...not an easy task. Outside my development, looks like I had to take a detour. Ripped the concrete right off the ground. Same shot, differant angle. Yet another detour needed. No I wasn't in England, I just couldnt be on the right side of the road b/c of debris. Off to explore!
  3. This past week's ep was pretty cool...flashback of the week: Jin & Sun... We got to see the legs and feet of "The Others" along with a teddy bear on a rope? Supposedly the next new episode (after World Series ) one of the survivors dies...my money is on Michelle Rodriguez's character, thanks for visiting the island, you still suck as an actress, goodbye.
  4. OK so I got Last Order...cool but too damn short. It literally is a replay of one of the flashbacks in the game with some Turks thrown in there. However I really really liked the animation and look forward to more like it.
  5. Can someone explain to me where he got all these numbers from? Thats the one thing I have yet to figure out...its like the Robotech Reference Guide...really neat to see peeps use their imagination in solidifying some reality to the ships seen in the anime, but if its never really mentioned in the animation or shown to be so precise how can you make an arguement that this is even close to accurate? You make a point of saying what you see and hear in see in the show is "canon" yet this "fleet capacity" or whatever is not entirely shown or even mentioned. I wonder, do Macross fans argue how many Valkyries fought against the Zentran main fleet like this?
  6. Hear Hear! It could've been FAR worse (I remember the scene where sub-zero first faced off against that cannon-fodder ninja thinking "ok, he's gonna freeze him, that's fine... if he stays in mid-air, I'm leaving"... fortunately it didn't work out like that). That said, the ending blows dead bears. Not bad for an action film, and the soundtrack really doesn't get much better. The second film left a great deal to be desired though, in virtually every respect. 337221[/snapback] Liu Kang vs Reptile was the best fight in MK, followed closely by Scorpian vs Johnny Cage.
  7. Dont expect this movie to mentioned in any serious form during the Oscars. As expected its a frag fest live action representation of the game. Story goes something like this, there is an archeological dig on Mars that has gone bad. The facility has been sealed and Rock's team of Marines is sent in to search/rescue/retrieve all survivors and data. However the scientists have already turned into those nasty looking creatures. We find out that the dig uncovered the remains of an ancient civilization that had succeeded in bio-engineering a 24th DNA Chromosone. Basically making you either super human or a super freak. Depending if you have a natural tendency to be good or psychotic. One of these beasts manages to make it back to the facility on Earth, frag fest continues. Rock becomes infected but turns into a freak while the hero of the movie, Reaper payed by Karl Urban (LOTR & Chronicles of Riddick) turns super human, queue up token final battle and the good guys win. I enjoyed the homage to the game when they did a 5 minute sequance of Reaper running through the facility as if you were playing the game. The movie's hottie Reaper's sister Dr Grimm played by Rosamund Pike must have left her bra at home during shooting which was a good thing! The rest of the Marine team was your typical "Aliens Mix" of varied personalities, no one really stood out much. Kinda wished you'd had heard Hicks say "Game over man, Game over!" Oh, and here's the best part! I was in the VIP theatre with The Rock, his family and friends, which included Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl Defensive Back Jason Taylor! After the movie I ended up standing next to The Rock as he was talking to some people. He looked at me and smiled and I shook his hand and told him great movie Rock awesome job to which he thanked me. Exiting the theatre in the little passage to the door Jason Taylor was there. Shook his hand and patted him on the arm telling him to give Tampa Bay hell this week and sack Brian Griese once for me. He laughed and said will do! Got my pics with both outside...here they are! Oh yeah, the guy in the green shirt sat next to us in the theatre, he's a manager for some reggaeton group I'm not a big fan of reggaeton but he was cool!
  8. Next time I'll search the forums for threads AFTER I have my shot of cuban coffee
  9. Street Fighter could have been made better...I was disapointed with Blanka the most. Raul Julia did do a superb job as Bison. And the chick that played Kami was hot.
  10. Well I am not a HUGE fan of the game, but know enough about it to probably catch a few familiar things in the movie. I know most video game to movie productions have been crap (Street Fighter & Mortal Kombat 2). The frag fest of Doom should be entertaining at least since I'll be seeing it for free tonight and will get to meet The Rock! I'll post a review/spoiler tonight or tomorrow morning, depending if I go to the after party
  11. This photograph was snuck out of the village by sole survivor of the massacre, Handy Smurf. According to him the reports on the new ally of Gargamel are true. UN SPACY is now trying to steal Papa Smurf's potions.
  12. Come on...you all know you've wanted to see the Smurfs get fragged for a long long time...admit it to yourselves. Those little blue bastards had it coming.
  13. Linda Mac turned heel? My god they must be desperate...
  14. I find it funny how someone that admits to beating their kids is advocating famliy values... Anyway back on topic...games that are extremely violent should not be played by kids under the age of at least 15...dont beleive me? I blame Pitfall Harry for my obsession with swinging over alligators on vines in the Everglades.
  15. If you played the game, you would know that the materia is what gives you the ability to summon. They hinted towards it when they stole Cloud's materia and said how it would increase their powers. I do agree, a little more about Kadaj & his gang would be cool...far as we know they are kinda like Sephiroth clones, or "larva" in Kadaj's case.
  16. Well I picked up a fan sub over the weekend and finally got to see it...twice. I have to say I am real happy with the movie. Every single action sequance had to be viewed a couple of times to really absorb and appriciate how bad ass it was done! Cloud Strife continues to be my favorite of the FF series heroes. The story while not to some as captivating as the game was not too bad imo as far as sequals go. Every fan of the game, who spent 99+ hours playing, grinding, breeding, racing chocobos just to get Knights of the Round had to happy with all the suttle reminders of the game. Sadly we didn't see any chocobos, but the motorcycles more then made up for their absence! I thought Tifa was great, and her fight scene was just too sweet, the piano music a throw back to the battle midi from the game. The cel phone ring at the end was priceless! Good to see that materia was still around, although I thought it would have been cool to see its properties better defined. In other words the fire, ice and lightning attacks they provided in game. Vincent stole the show in both helping Cloud in his fight then later against Bahamut. Which was just fracking too much! That scrap was awesome! Eye candy overload!!!! As I said the story was not "epic" but moved along well enough to the climax in which we all knew would be a rematch between Cloud and Sephiroth. I'd have to say the characters that I had hoped played a big role in fact did. The Turks...loved them in the game and was real glad to see them in the movie, along with Rufus who again proved he's an evil mofo when he wants to be...to anyone he doesn't want to help. I give the movie a 5 out of 5 stars...this movie is a true representation of what Final Fantasy is all about, regardless if you played FF7 or not. It obliderates the crap Square released with "Spirits Within".
  17. Aside from the alligator road kill I drove by this morning on my way to work these ST-TF toys have got to be the nastiest collection of crap ever created. Toys have officially "jumped the shark" now.
  18. Ok looked at the entire scene over the weekend. Yes it is still there but we've all forgotten what happend on the other end of that engine blowing up...namely a guy getting sucked into it! That more then warrants it to go ka-boom I thinks... Looking beyond that in frame by frame shots of everything else going on, like the other engine blowing up one can see stuff flying around all over the place. I think its safe to bust this myth as to nothing more then just debris flying around.
  19. Damn that dance is trippy lol...so about that thing flying over it..still havent looked at dvd but...is that supposed to be one of the nanonites?
  20. Wow...never noticed that black object! Gonna look for it on the DVD tonight!
  21. Seems the comic stuck close to Mckinney/Sentinals storyline, which for fans of the novels is a good slap in the face for the "cannon" debaters. This pic is very close to a scene in the 5th Sentinals novel Rubicon. At least the end result is
