  1. I don’t mind him not knowing about Vader….Obi-wan was essentially in isolation on a backwater planet. I do, however, find it odd that he never used the force, even when alone in his cave to keep some of his skills alive. Like @Big s said he wants to train Luke but he allowed his abilities to become so atrofied that he could barely save Leia. I just personally don’t like that he essentially cut himself off from the Force, even in private. Not saying he needed to go around using mind tricks and make stuff float etc when in public….but alone in his cave is another thing. How did he plan on training or helping Luke when the time or trouble came? Chris
  2. Rewatched episode 5. Really loving this show. #1 and La’an (the 2 buzz kills) playing good cop bad cop (both wanting to be bad cop) and then Enterprise BINGO was really fun. Chris
  3. Yup really like this episode too. Minor gripes with the show but over all I’m really liking this show. Finally another Star Trek show I love. This and Lower Decks. Chris
  4. I really liked Mav’s mission demo flight…..gave me “Goose”bumps. Pun intended. Probably my favorite line was…. ”you told me not to think!” And then the gesture after lol Chris
  5. Saw it last night. IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!! I’m a life long aviation fanatic and was in the Navy. Yes the movie is very unrealistic to what it is really like. So what? It is just old school action movie fun with AMAZING flight sequences. Yes things are MUCH closer then they’d really be but something’s need to be done for visual appeal for movie audiences etc. they did at least give some semblance of trying to be a little more realistic in a few spots. I absolutely adore this movie…..pretty much how I did the original when I was a kid. As an adult now with real world experience, I can say I think this was a far better movie than the original. Chris
  6. First one I absolutely remember seeing in the theater was ST4 I know I saw the others before then but can’t remember if it was in the theaters or not. Chris
  7. Yeah, was not really referring to the dual perspective stuff but more like what you pointed out with the officer’s lounge scene and just kind of overall. Probably just not really understanding what I should have expected. I was probably expecting modern movie HD or 4k clean and crispness. Chris
  8. So I am already a fan of the Motion Picture and enjoyed the movie and its updates but I gotta say I was a little disappointed with the picture quality. With how it was being talked up, I was expecting a cleaner looking picture. Maybe it was my theater or something but it was blurry/ hazy in a bunch of spots when I was thinking it would be a clean sharp picture. 🤷‍♂️ Chris
  9. But they did cancel the rescue V-22 like 2 days before release. Though, some claim that the “complaint” letter was a convenient out as the set had some serious problems apparently. Who knows 🤷‍♂️ Chris
  10. Anyone else think the Ensign at the beginning, the first one affected, looked like Timothee Chalamet…Paul Atraidees from the new Dune. Chris
  11. 3 in for me and I agree. I wrote this on another site about the latest episode. Sorry about the different color. I liked this episode, particularly the end portion with the resolutions for #1 and the Dr. I’m really liking this show, while it is not ground breaking and I understand that some want it to be and can’t fault them for that either, there is something to be said about using the “tried and true” formula that Trek had in the past that I really appreciate. I say, give the show time to grow a bit and maybe it can push boundaries into new territory as it does, but for now I just enjoy it for the nostalgic story telling it seems to have thus far. Trek has been trying to be different for the past Decade and most haven’t seemed to like it much, so I say let it be what it was for a bit and let it chart a new course back out, hopefully on a better path than it was. Chris
  12. Haven’t seen the episode yet, but it does sound like it. They don’t seem to Understand that the name Enterprise and it’s impact on Star Fleet if not the the Federation as a whole didn’t really happen until after Kirks missions and Star Fleet adopting Enterprise's Delta as the symbol for ALL of Star Fleet. That being said, yes Archer’s Enterprise also made a BIG impact too so if there is going to be a Flag Ship and one of the Connies was going to be it Enterprise kind of still makes sense from a historical standpoint. 🤷‍♂️ Even in the real world, at least in the U.S. the name Enterprise for ships has significance Chris
  13. I just hope they don’t do something cheesy like make the hero Billy’s ancestor or something. Not everything needs to be tied into each other or a call back etc. Chris
  14. Color me intrigued, hope it is a return to some good for the franchise. Chris
  15. I still can’t get over that the Master Chief is Pornstache from Orange is the new Black. Lol Chris
  16. Ok I actually really like that Pyramid. Chris
  17. I was afraid this would happen as soon as I heard this episode was only the main plot line. That the following episode would be solely Plot B. 😠
  18. I saw it in 3D, just in a standard theater though, and honestly don’t see what all the Hoopla was about. 2D images stood out more in the foreground etc. I was expecting something different the way people were carrying on about it, but it just seemed like any other 3D movie to me. With maybe just more of it in a given scene but still nothing “GROUNDBREAKING” Avatar goes down as one of the most over rated movies of all time for me. Just don’t get it or am I missing something? Chris
