In my experiences with hlj, my orders get automatically bumped to EMS when my order-totals hits US$200 or more.
Even if it's just one single item.
edit:
yeah. what Nightingale and Raptormesh said, too.
also gotta remember that the hlj-box themselves sometimes add to the total weight, no matter how efficient hlj boxes the item(s).
-
Yeah it's strange, although the YF-21(overall weight+packaging) is 300gms heavier than the VF-22s.
I don't have the yf-21, but I'm thinking it prolly has to do with the yf-21 having the old flap/windowed packaging and the VF-22 has the newer window-less packaging.
300gms for that rather useless flapper? geezus...

The VF-11 toy is good but the bang for the buck is light. I'd say $150 shipped for a VF-11 is a fair price. It's a cool toy, no doubt, but is it THAT much cooler than a 1/60 V2 VF-1 toy? No, not really. The VF-22 toys offer more bang for the buck and they're going for less (although I prefer the YF-21).
Yup. At least with this new sale, the 22s has the best bang-for-the-buck value.
I still can't figure out why the yf-21 still has a more ridiculously expensive SAL-shipping option compared to the vf-22.

fyi.
hlj posted a july-restock preorder for it now:

Granted, I just got a DSLR myself.
But even with a regular old point-and-shoot, you can still get some good pics. All you need are:
- A tripod or something stable to place the camera on (absolutely essential when taking no-flash pictures with a point-and-shoot);
- Some good to adequate lighting; and
- The macro feature on your camera (the little rose/flower icon/dial selection).
Until very recently, practically all the pics I've posted on the board have been from a cheap old Fuji FinePix digital camera. They may not the greatest pics, but they definitely get the point across :
Yup. Pretty much got all that. My p&s is just getting really wonky now (especially with its digital-zoom) due to age, I reckon.

i saw and scored these three at Fry's today. $12.99 each.
bummer they didn't have anymore stocks of Wreck-Gar for me to do a Wreck-Gar on Wreck-Gar thingy. At least, for today.
Nothing changed at Target/Wally's/TRU stocks. They all still got only BBee, Ravage, Skullgrin, and Skids.
edit: added bot-mode pics.

update:
Was checking my bank recently and two hlj-payments were just posted, but one of amounts was not quite what I was expecting.
After checking my hlj-account for recent orders, it seems like hlj did managed to get me at least two of my five yammie-block orders back in 4/1. as shown from my attachment.
weird. wish I got all five, but two stands should be ok for now.
anybody else also ordered their yammie-blocks from when I posted on 4/1, got the hlj cancel-email, and still got some shipped?
-
-
-
Why?
It's the same generic hlj cancel-email that Nicaragua had gotten.
I can only guess that some scalper (prolly local) already cleaned out their new restocks.
-
still only Skullgrins, Jetblade, and Bumblebee in the stores over here.
oh, and btw, more bad news: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-generations-classics-30-35/reveal-the-shield-scout-assortment-possibly-cancelled---legends-assortment-status-unknown-171877/
-
well, frak!
just got my cancellation email right now from hlj regarding my Yammie-block order from last week. kept me in suspense for a week.
-
sale's over. for now. wallet-relief, i reckon.

What the Matrix is wrong with Prime?
no BT-22 Prime?
-
on hlj now as well:
-
In this case i dont think it does because i had 3 on pre-order for ages and i got an email from them on the 3rd March saying...
uhmm, in this case, you simply just missed out on this latest restock.
so better luck next time.
fwiw, i'm hoping my hlj confirmation-email for it ain't a joke, either.

Hey, guys.
Just a quick question: you guys try the Yammie-arm or the Yammie-block to pose your 21/22 in battroid-mode?
If so, which adaptor from the yammie-arm did you particularly used?
-
Are we looking at the right link because that one says they have no stock, arent taking pre-orders, and that they dont have any information from the manufacturers as to when the iten will be back in stock.
Or is this some lame April fools joke ?
it wasn't a joke.
"Order Stop" means their preorder-quota has been filled-up.
-
heads up, guys.
The Mighty Block Stand is coming back at hlj:

edit:
"Order Stop" status now. Bummer for those who missed out on pre-ordering.
Try again during actual release/restock-date, whenever that will be this month.
-
it's back up again.
unfortunately, the exchange-rate already went down to 84.05 from 84.53.

am I the only one having issues connecting to HLJ today (4/1/11)?

btw, guys.
I've said the vf-22 has the best bang-for-the-buck, but be aware that some Milia versions (2nd-batch and up, prolly) have some various QC issues.
Mine from the last sale came with a bit of a left-leg peg-friction issue. Not quite as severe as the ones reported by others in the VF-22 thread. The black goo/material that's supposed to add friction/resistance with the peg was not quite applied properly, e.g. amount of it was really less. Mine still stands good in battroid-mode, but it does slides out, especially on glossy table/shelf-tops. I had to add a small thin foam (from a motherboard-foam or whatever) to alleviate it.
In contrast, my Max-22 was quite tighter and had no issues at all.
So better check the VF-22 thread for known issues with the 22.
