Animeigos release of SDF:Macross got me searching on the internet for all things Macross. I am guessing it was google that took me to the SDF:Macross / Macross Plus DVD box set thread. I thought those boxes were awesome. I didnt register right away, but I have been reading ever since. edit: Looking back at my post history, it seems like I registered because I felt compelled to give Yamato all my money. I think Max is the best pilot. I know shocking. But where are some of you getting this idea that he has no concern for others flying with him? I dont remember the end of M7, I kept falling asleep, but in SDF Macross he was always saving Kakizaki. Doesnt that count for something?

I guess I was a new generation fan of the old Robotech that was show on cartoon network about 6 or 7 years ago when I was in 7th or 8th grade. It was also my first taste of anime(but I did not know that at the time).

The FX version is great. The picture is very clear and the only complaint I have about the subtitles is that they translated "sempi" to "roy", which is no big deal because thats who they are refering to in the movie, or some crazy japanese symbol in one part. Its WELL worth the 13$.

SDF Macross > Robotech I suggest you pick them up. If your a fan of the first part of Robotech, you will love the origional SDF Macross.

Which reminds me... the game won't let you assassinate Minmay in the next level(when "Rick Hunter" orders you to fly her to her concert). She's $#@%ing bullet-proof. HA! never tried it. Another mission that drove me nuts was the 'deadly stom' one where you have to save the green valk girl. I dont remember her name so im going to call her missy. The bitch you have to fight is hard so much transforming and button pushing for like 20 minutes, only to die and do it again, hurts my hands. Still have not beaten it

Game is ok, still playing it on Xbox Pros: -Lots of Valks and color schemes -graphics look nice, I like the Cartoon look -Lots of cheats to unlock valks/colors/missions( this way if you get stuck you can play another ) -Lots of missions Cons: -Protecting things sucks -Movement is bad(turning) -controls(trying to fly, shoot, and select a target may require a 3rd thumb) -Game is almost TOO DAMN HARD -even with the 1 shot kill cheat I was still not able to complete the first 'protect the cats eye mission' -Did I mention this is really hard? My favorite mission so far has been the 'party crashers' mission where you help Mr Hunter and save Ms Minmay. If your a macross/tech fan you will enjoy the game

I just got my frist 1/48 VF-1A and its pretty cool. The only thing I dont like about them are the hands, the dont seem to hold the gun pod to well I will probly get a Roy when they come out
