Thanks! Those fibers will be worth it when your done. Your little model will weigh like 5 pounds I'm actually experimented with doing "the sparkly bit." I bought a Christmas ornament a couple years ago, swapped the clear LEDs with yellow, candle effects ones and seeing how that goes. The tough part, how / where to put the fiber. The cannon is clear, so I thought of gluing it outside, but then that will leave marks or can be seen. The next one was to drill holes and place them, but the same thing. All glues eventually yellow the clear plastic. So I'm stuck thinking about it in my spare-spare time (which there isn't much of). - MT

Your setup looks great Arbit! I'm considering messing with Arduino. It's just time I'm lacking. - MT

Sorry NZEOD! I feel your pain (the pain you can't feel anyhow ). From the first photo to the second photo... My two year old somehow got up on my shelves and just LOVED what was in the box - no matter how many time she got chewed out! Never did get it totally restored. Had rubber tires too. - MT

It looks stubbly cool! - MT

We need a Zentraedi to step on the spam bot! This is another thread they hit. - MT -
NZEOD, I actually built up the original VF-4 in vinyl. The trick is to heat up pieces in hot water (don't boil 'em) and then get them to line up and fit better. Then just superglue and fill a little if needed. Nope, you can't sand it. I had to shave it with an XActo where the parts just didn't fit right. Still looked cool though! - MT

I think the dual hooks in the picture (go anime magic!) would work. The arms would get ripped off with hooks on them Two hooks is a lot of extra weight though in reality. But there is no center line. Plus you get an extra chance! Looking at our aircraft every week; I think it might be possible. - MT

Wow! I missed a whole thread of stuff doing schoolwork! Those stands came out great NZEOD! With all that green in your life, you need a computer to dub background graphics into it like a movie set - MT

Looks cool NZEOD! As much as I like Lupin, the Ultimate Nipako bus will probably show marks from heating up. Then again, that could be a good thing! - MT

Due to time constraints, I usually stick to the modelling threads, but thought of you guys this weekend at the Patuxent River Naval Base Air Expo. The Decepticons are getting bolder! Same emblem on the nose too. Its a test and evaluation Osprey. On a side note, if any of you guys needs specific photos of the following aircraft on display at the Patuxent Naval Air Museum where I volunteer, just PM me. They are not operational of course, so they're missing engines and the main components. This is a quick paste from Wikipedia (not mine). NA-4M Skyhawk McDonnell Douglas RA-5C Vigilante North American NA-6E Intruder Grumman NA-7A Corsair II Ling-Temco-Vought F-4J Phantom II McDonnell Douglas NF-6A(F4D) Skyray Douglas F9F-8B Cougar Grumman F-14A Tomcat Grumman NF/A-18A Hornet McDonnell Douglas E-2B Hawkeye Grumman AH-1J Seacobra Bell TH-1L Iroquois Bell SH-2G Seasprite Kaman CH-53A Sea Stallion Sikorsky S-2D (S2F-3) Tracker Grumman S-3B Viking Lockheed T-34B Turbo Mentor Raytheon T-39D Sabreliner North American Rockwell X-32B JSF STOVL Demonstrator Boeing X-35C JSF Carrier Demonstrator Lockheed Martin Recent additions: T-2 Buckeye T-38 Talon H-3 Sea King MiG-21 Cockpit and nose section Have a good day! - MT

I thought of machining a stamp for padeyes - in 1/350th scale. Hand or CNC machine stamped. Then I realized I don't have access to nanotechnology. - MT

If you want to go accurate with people, Preiser makes some of the best 1/100 molded figures: https://www.reynaulds.com/catalog/dept_361.aspx They have a set of orange jumpsuit mechanics - perfect for Macross dioramas. I bought the WHOLE set of 1/200 figures and was blown away by the tiny details. You even get cows! - MT

Looking good Arbit. NZEOD, physical pain is the not the only thing you don't feel It's hurts me just looking at it. - MT
