Well, I did manage to find another source exclusively for TV episodes, so the news is not all bad. I'd like to believe that another site will pop up, but I doubt it too. Supr had a lot of trouble handling bandwidth. They even went the extra mile to prevent people from downloading the torrent files (had to click on them directly from the site to run them). Anything that's going to replace Supr will probably end up in the same situation and shut down too. Now we all start looking for the next big thing. The trouble though is finding it. A friend once pointed me the direction of Suprnova, here's hoping someone else points me to the new stuff

This isn't exactly Anime or Sci-Fi related, but it is where most of us go to get bittorrent downloads, including macross zero. This is sad. I used to go there to get TV episodes that I missed, or some uber expensive program that I otherwise wouldn't be able to afford... *cough*autocad*cough*. Now I gotta find some other source.

Today, the unthinkable happened... I saved over my latest save with a fresh game Granted, it's not so bad considering I have another one which I did right after I finished the game the first time. But I lost all of my upgraded planes. Man, that was a lot of kills to get that damn F-16 upgraded.

I'm having a blast with this game, although I wish I'd gotten the bundle instead of just the game. But I couldn't justify the extra price when I had to buy a PS2, a memory card AND the game all at the same time. Thanks to this thread I now know that I need to go the B route to get the Sukhoi, but where the heck is the Rafale? Can I unlock it by playing a particular mission in free mode? EDIT: OH! and the YF-23 too, if anyone knows

I like it. But if it were up to me, I'd make it a little bit less symmetric. I think I understand why you made it that way, this being space and all, and there shouldn't be an up or down. But I still think it looks too symmetric. So, maybe add some antennas on one side of the ship. Instead of an island placed on top of the ship, why not another pass through launch bay? Ditto for the bottom. This way you can expand upon the T design you made. If I interpreted the design correctly, then the engines are the located on the sides and not along the central axis. Instead of the 2 new sections being identical to the original 2, you can make them purely pass through launch bays, no engines (ie, they look different, probably smaller).

You've got mipmap coloring enabled. Disable it. Thanks for the tip. But I actually got the game working properly again after installing ATI's Doom Beta drivers (4.9). That seems to have fixed the lighting problem. But just for future reference, how do I disable mipmap?

Yeah, I feel like I'm playing in puke-o-rama or something. My setup in case anyone asks is: P4 1.8Ghz 256MB ram (yeah yeah, i know it's below the min specs, but it's still working) Radeon 9000 Pro 128MB
-
Is it just me, or is the game very, very, green? I'm seeing green hues all over the place. My first guess is that it's due to my radeon 9000 not being directx 9 compatible. But did anyone else encounter a similar problem? EDIT: Added a pic... most of the game looks like this

Which chain has the WORST customer service?

That's true, cables are usually insanely marked up. I remember in one case where my boss made more money on a serial to usb cable than a desktop computer. -
Which chain has the WORST customer service?

I'm voting for Best Buy, since they own Future Shop in Canada where I had most of my troubles. I used to work in a small computer store chain and I did have to ask customers if they wanted an extended warranty. I always ask once at the cash, and if I get a no, that's the end of that. I wouldn't try to ram the damn warranty down the customer's throat. But these Future Shop guys, holy hell are they presistent. I've had problems when trying to buy just about anything from them. Hard drive, printer, DVD player, Gamecube, laptop. On every single occasion I was surrounded by at least 2 guys trying to convince me to buy an extended warranty. The laptop for example. I helped out my cousin in picking a nice toshiba. I knew the margins on these things is often around 3-4% only, which is why I can understand why they'd want to sell me the extra protection. But what really bugged me was that after every single no, the salesperson kept saying "I don't understand why you wouldn't want to get the extra coverage?" . No thank you, I'll take my chances I said, at which point a second guy came in to give me an example. Something about how frequently laptops break since they're so delicate. No thank you, we'll be careful I said, at which point a third guy came in to tell me that it's not much more money for piece of mind. No thank you, I can't justify 300 more dollars on a 1500 dollar laptop. When I saw one guy open his mouth again, I just took the laptop box out of his hand and walked to the cash. I usually have lots of patience, but not for this kind of stuff -
http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/toys/v...final_proto.htm Try reading that. It lists some of the differences. But as for prices? I'm not too sure.

Probably too much nitpicking on my part, but the letters on the yf-21 are reveresed in that spread. It`s very minor, and would probably take too much photoshop effort to fix. So in that case, disregard my comment

My god that looks gooooood! I'd buy that in a heartbeat

I'm wondering about the new Bourne Identity too, what's the difference between this one and the original release?

Here's a site with some valks, but they were removed for some reason. You could try asking the webmaster for help. http://www.angelfire.com/mech/paperandglue01/mechaanime.htm That was the only one I was able to find. You can try you luck in this list, http://www.peterjvisser.demon.nl/links5.html

Mega Man Anniversary Collection Released!
Wumzi replied to mikeszekely's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I just picked it up for the GC, and although I'm glad i got it, I'm kinda dissapointed with it. First thing was the button placement. It's already been beaten to death on the IGN boards, but I didn't give it much thought. I figured I'll adapt, just like any other game. But they really did screw it up. A new user probably wouldn't be bothered by the difference, but I found myself completly lost, dying all the time. I figured I was rusty after so many years, so I popped the original Mega Man 2 into the NES and beat the thing, no problems. I guess 5 years of mental conditioning playing the original can't be undone in one sitting. I was looking forward to the remixed music, since half the fun of playing the games was the music. But I guess I can live without them. Besides, I'm focusing too hard on the new buttons to pay any attention to the music All in all, I'd say this is average. It would've been my dream come true if they left the buttons as they were on the NES, but eh, what can you do? It's still all of the MM games on one disk -

Are the remixed tunes really that good? I was thinking of picking up the gamecube version, but the missing remixed tunes are bugging me. -
Space Ship One Launches tomorrow in Mojave,CA
Wumzi replied to Hiriyu's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
You mean this is the one where they go all the way to space? Edit: just read the press release, apparently they are ... Sweet -
I know of two sites. http://complete.gamingfm.com/main/ This one has an insane amount of game music, but unfortunatly you can't download anything. You have to make a request and they'll play it. http://www.tendoweb.com/ This has some you can download, but most are not 8 and 16 bit games. He does have the entire Chrono Trigger collection, which is amazing.

I didn't know that we were getting another Cybernator game! Sweet! I spent so much time with the snes original. Too bad it's just a remake. I would've loved to see a sequel.

Well, the DS already has the slot for GBA games, and all of those have no regional lockouts. None of the Gameboys nintendo made had regional locks. So, my guess is that DS doesn't have that either.

.... Wow Just, Wow... I mean... Look at the... and that... Wow ... Holy crap... Wow Hold on, *wets pants*

Managed to do that too, lol I started wondering how convenient it would've been to have a "limiter" on this thing, like what Guld had on the 21. I could turn it on and have an easier time flying the valk
-
Incredible work you've done there Chrono. This finally convinced me to reinstall FS 2004 so that I could try it out. It's absolutley insane trying to get this thing to fly straight though. Someone mentioned that they managed to get the valk in an inverted position and wasn't able to roll back to level flight. This happened to me too. Plus, while I was playing around, I figured it might be cool to try and get the 19's nose to point straight up, do continuous rolls and have it move sideways (Isamu did the same thing when he first got his hands on the 19). Surprisngly it worked!... Until I ended up in an inverted spin from using the rudders too much. I would have loved to take a picture of the contrail that was left in my wake... It looked like a huge helix going straight up.

Would those be the files for the yamato or the VF-17?
