  1. Ok, so we got the series and character names: FireMan a.k.a. Faiyâman a.k.a. MagmaMan (turn your speakers on REAL loud for this...) These Tokusatsu series monsters are so... huh... WTF??? Oh NO!!! Watch out for that big nasty... mushroom!!! or that albino Stitch!!! (where's Lilo?) I especially like the giant cello and violin playing Silver Monolith!! nasty... ...And we now know the vehicle is called the, or a, Maringon, Marine Gon or Sea Marine... Finally, the Bandai logo. According to the link above, Faiyâman aired in 1973, so I deduct Bandai used that logo starting from, or until, the early seventies. So what's a seventies Bandai kit like this worth?? This guy (scroll down to Bandai) has one for sale for $100, but his prices are generally inflated so I'm not sure he's a good reference. Then I find an old cached eBay page (scroll down to second listing) of a Maringon which sold for $35. So that's it, all trivia solved, thanks for watching and goodnight!!
  2. I am a Japanese Superhero, What is my name? This is an early Bandai logo, during what years did Bandai use this logo? Here's the kit box cover... Thanks for all your help!! This is not in the "Models" section cause it's not a macross related model, it's an "Other Anime or Science Fiction" model...
  3. *... and closes the can* Coby, please accept my appologies, I promise that was the last time I ever bother you with the Lancer.
  4. *Opens up a can of worms* Heck Coby, if you're gonna put that much effort into your Lancer II base for Honneamese's project, why not make some new molds for the Lancer II kit itself while your at it!?!? I would take a few for sure!!
  5. Yes... a Harmony Gold mine!!!! *runs away really really fast!!!*
  6. Geez dude?!?! He said it twice already, read the posts!!
  7. I thought it was more like "tone it down for a while", targetted towards models AND toys, but I may have misunderstood also. Since I keep being too late and missing out whenever an original pops up for sale, like Valk009's, this is tempting ... I would still fork over for an original at asking price though, like Valk009's
  8. Glad we could be of service ... you have reacted well to our peer pressure, you are now totally under our mind control You will receive further instructions once you have taken many more excellent pics of your 1/48 UD, please standby.
  9. ...and I would hardly call this a kit-bash , even though a few parts from other kits have been used due to their convenient shape (saving the time of having to sculpt them, which he proved by now he would have no problem doing), this is a fine example of pure scratchbuilding and sculpting talent
  10. I went over to John's to pick up my 2 Regults this week-end, and man are they awesome!!! I got one with clear parts and one with solid parts, although I don't know if I'll build the one with the clear parts "clear" yet, it has a lot of potential for a really cool effects. The pictures John posted of his built-up Regult does not do it justice whatsoever, I'm not bashing John's picture taking abilities here, just saying how much better it looks in person. I can't wait for the add-ons, but John's REALLY busy as I saw in person, so we'll all hafto be patient and let John breathe a little. John, thanks so much for welcoming me into your lair once again, and thanks especially for making these incredible kits for Macross and CaptainAmerica fans alike!!
  11. huh... it's 1/100 scale, read the first post again. Still very impressive, but I'm gonna be patient and wait for that "other" Monster in that "other" scale that should be discussed in "other" threads only.
  12. OK Jade, forget the battlemech for now and get a decent digital camera... please!!!

    SDF-1 1/8000

    ...and what is that?
  14. Funny, Jeffrey sent me a message last month saying he needed at least 20 orders before he could get production restarted on this kit. Anyways, something like this is already in the works by Neova, and it seems it will be direct from G-Systems, no middle-man. A flaw was found in the kit by jadefalconguard, he and Neova are co-operating to document this and submit a fix to G-Systems and hopefully get them to modify their masters before they go ahead and make new molds for eventual new kit orders. See this thread... From what I can tell, Neova was asking for a minimum of 15 orders too, he already has 7 to 8 orders, maybe more, but nothing official anywhere I could find. I have also shown interest to buy 2 kits, but haven't received a reply from Neova as of yet. In fact, Neova hasn't posted on MW since the end of March. Jade is inquiring. I myself would rather wait a bit to see if Neova and Jade are successful in getting improvements done to this kit. I can be patient, can any of you? Jeffrey had also assured me the special hardened resin landing gear can handle the load no problem.
  15. Here, here. I love these scratchbuilding/build-up threads, I just eat'em up and learn as much as I can from them so I can apply any new ideas and techniques to my own projects. Another thing I love is encouraging the "Garage Kit" industry by buying little jems like these created by extremely talented craftsmen, I am therefore in line behind Coby and Grayson if you ever decide to make this into a kit
  16. OMG Peter Konig is awesome!!! Thanks for sharing that thread, a whole new website to discover
  17. Maybe someone touched on this earlier, and I won't be the one to go through a 26 page thread to find out, but has anyone kept a tally on the overall total Yammies owned by MW members that posted thier #'s in this thread? It would be interesting to find out what global % of Yamato Macross toy released stock is owned by MW members.
  18. I predict a MW feeding frenzy, when Graham starts selling off his collection... This will happen, oh yes, it will happen
