Okay lets see how out of it I am. I visited Robotech.com I knew Macek did some interview about Robotech with them. Read on their forums that he's back on the Robotech Creative Team. People seem to be really happy about it. Calling him the Robotech Master and stuff like that. Some aren't happy. This kinda is what bugs me about the Credit Macek gets. Robotech is Nothing on its own. You can't create something from nothing. All the parts of Robotech, the Animation, visual story and the written story as already created by the different Japanese production companies. Macek just put in plot device to join the series together. Like saying every show on ABC's TGIF is in the same universe because Steve Urkel appeared on all there shows once. Macek had some good taste in picking the right series to use but he's not some kinda of miracle worker. The Macross Saga if you ignore the names changes and the Narrator's consent reminders about Robotech is essentially Macross. What ground breaking elements did Macek and HG create that weren't already there? Macek is either a God or Devil. I think that's how people see him. I might joke that he's the later but he's likely somewhere in the middle just looking to making living milking the success of Robotech as long as he can. Not sure how bringing him back to Robotech is going to help. His presence might encourage some fans but his other contributions The Sentinels & Robotech 3000 went no where. Robotech the Shadow Chronicles (Greatest Anime EVER!) got made without Macek. What miracle can Macek really perform? Also this Memo guy does he always talk in Caps? I can see using them IN AN OFFICIAL MODERATING MESSAGE but using them all the time?

Sorry Been Barely following this Drama. I take it Pizza is the Latest Robotech.com Refuge and wasn't a favorite among people here? Same "rules" here apply to him as it does with any of the possible Robotech Defender. Please realize the general tone of this Message Board may not be Pro-Robotech and Harmony Gold. I heard understood how English dubbed VA or Producers get so much attention/credit. Is there any real creativity or talent involved? Sure they might work hard and do a good job but didn't someone already do all the work for them?

Small update finally got a replacement cable. Tried it out and discovered that my worst fear has come true. When the first cable broke it did damaged the TV Tuner too.

Hikaru sounds like a whiney bitch. Max sounds like a teenagers whose voice is changing. Compared to this the Robotech VA are better. Their voices didn't fit every character's but it was workable.

Watched 2 episode. My first viewing of the new dub. I'm totally glad this is up on hulu. It a chance for more people to get expose to Macross. I regret that is this dubbed version. I haven't heard every characters new dubbed voice but the ones I heard so far makes it sound like some fan dub. Was there any auditions for this or did they randomly draw a voice Actor's name out of a hat?

Totally Pissed!!! I bought a new Toshiba P500 Laptop about a month ago. Had them throw on a TV Tuner Card. Turns my HD Taptop into a second HD TV. That is great thing to have. Sadly it broke after just a month of use. The Card attaches to an antenna by the way of a cheaply made connecting cable. The end of this cable broke of in the card. This of this part like the Shoulder on a Yamato. It can't do what it is designed for without breaking. I contacted the TV Tunners customer support. Got a form response back about how I can get a replacement cable for $5. Shipping on their site makes the total $20. I spent $80 for the entire card. The cable weighs as much shoe lace. Their form response included another email I should contact for more help. Five days have passed and no answer from that one. I tried calling but I hear I have to wait 15 minutes for help. I've sent an email in vain to Toshiba to see if they can help.

I got mine in the Mail Today. Looks good. I have it Battroid mode with armor. I won't be doing much before I have a spare pair set of shoulders on standby. First thing when took it out was to mind the Shoulders. It might just be me but the pin looked large and more exposed compared to my other V2. There was no cracks or stress marks but it looked clear just an ounce of pressure on the wrong spot might cause a break. I loosen the screws on the shoulder. Now it has some floppy upper arm movement but better that than a break

I collect SW figures from time to time. I go to the store pick up one cool figure and then stop for a years at a time cause all I see are 20 of those Ugly Six Titted Bitches from Jabba's Palace warming the pegs. Hmmm....warming the peg that sounds good but She's ugly it's not like she's the chick from Total Recall. Wait what was I gonna talk about? Oh yeah what are the definitive figures to get? I hate picking a fig to find that does not have SA or they have one ugly looking part. What figs are on par with VOTC Han Solo from Episode 4? Prequels, Clone Wars and Random back ground characters like Bespin Ice Cream Man don't count.

That what I don't understand. Why do they games start you off with equipment that sucks? Eventually this will be a game that you Pay to Play. They don't have to give you the Enterprize but they can do you better than suck. What are paying for then? Why pay money to be a poor person doing mundane jobs in a fanasty world when you can do that in real life? When you buy a hamburger they don't just give you a patty in bun and make you clean tables to work for a piece of cheese and ketcup. That stuff comes with it. Cause they know the hamburger would suck otherwise.

Rant - Do MMO RPG Suck or is it just me? A friend recommended that I try the Star War Galaxies trial with him. Last computer game I played online was Star Wars Dark Forces 2. I thought why not lets see how thing have advanced in the last decade. I have a new high performance, HD laptop with a high speed Internet a modern game is gonna kick ass. It didn't! Graphics suck, combat system sucks. Stand still and shot a gun in the head 50 times. Can't use some blaster till I reach a certain level. WTF? How hard is it to point a shot a gun? As I understand it you pay monthly fees to play games? I start the game with sucky abilities, crappy weapons and bad clothes. Why can't I start with Storm Trooper Armor, two double light sabers and speeder bike? Why do I have to do all these crappy jobs for just 100 credits? If I'm paying to play why don't I get cool stuff from the start? Think I want to spend hours a day working for it? I'd play video games 1 hour a week. I want cool stuff now! If I pay to play give me good stuff and skills! And I want it Now! Why does the graphics suck? Am I wrong for thinking this would be like PS3 Home but with Fricken Lasers? Look at PS3 Online games. The PS3 cost less than a computer you get to play online games at no extra charge. I can play Metal Gear Online get my ass kicked and called a F@g by other players but at least the graphic are cool, I get good clothes to wear and weapons to use and I don't pay extra. MMO RPGs are scam aren't they?

You knew they could have updated it, making it really gritty or just stupid like Gijoe. Instead we got cheesy action, SFX but the character's seem to be there and they are wearing the right costumes. Looks like it might be very close to the original with stupid mindless popcorn fun. I would have loved a serious version but I'd see this one anyways.

Both are cool! If we are looking at just the defect free VF-1 1/60 V2 model than it wins as the more accurate toy to display. On the other hand if you want a "Toy" over a display model go with the 1/48. Fast Pack falls off, it is a bit floppy but sturdy too.

I don't like this news. I have been very carefull to avoid the questionable Valks. I passed on many because of these issues. My name is down on a group buy for this toy because not only it is for the cool looking armor but a newer release of Hikaru's VF-1J. This is a total step backwards. I could have just bought an older cheaper VF-1J and wait for the Armor to be sold seperately I'll still honor my part of the group buy but knowledge that I'll be getting a defective expensive toy really sucks.
