    We know they're going to somehow save the day, but the Federation is still doomed. Every crewman under 25 been turned and killed every crewman over 25. They'll turn the junior crew back to normal, but the veterans will still be dead. There will not be enough experienced members to crew these ships. You've got the Enterprize D Command Crew and Officers serving on Star Bases to take command of all of Star Fleet but that's not enough to defend the Federation from the next invasion. Newly appointed 19-year-old Captains will be outsmarted by the Ferengi who keeps tricking them to trade their ships for magic beans.

    That's what I don't understand. Jurati and the Queen merged centuries ago in the past, changed their ways and made peace with the Feds. Why are they still a threat after season 2?

    I liked this episode but I'm also like, wait how is the possible? That's more than a little stupid but damn they did a good job of telling it. Apparently in Star Fleet there's nobody between the ages of 25 and 50 years old. This grand plan of the changelings would doom them as well. If I'm not mistaken didn't they solve and make peace with this in season 2 of Picard? It was a really bad season but try working with what they gave you instead of pretending it didn't happen.

    Actors have been returning to characters they swear they were done with 20 years ago. All the actors who were too good to appear in comic book movies 20 years ago have all appeared in comic book movies. They like money and want to earn doing the way are used to.

    This show is just silly. That Imperial woman in the rehab program on Coruscant makes a report to the Imperials confirming that she's been their agent the entire time. She does this in a dirty alley in the middle of the night. Not too far from a street. Neighborhood doesn't look too deserted. Chances of some random person stumbling on this is just too great. Commanding Imperial types have a zoom meeting to setup spin offs and react to news of the Mandalorians latest exploits. All of this Mandalorian stuff is just very cartoonish. Which is where it came from. This show is made by 10-year-olds for 10-year olds.

    Yes, the real stars of Disney's Star Wars are the editors who make the trailers. Every single trailer for all their movies and series gives us hope. Did you see that trailer? I had doubts after the last season, but this looks really good. I didn't see any reference to that unpopular element from before and the CGI looks like it really improved. Was that Orson Welles as that mysterious cloaked Sith lord in the end of the trailer? I thought he was dead. What perfect casting.

    To quote a random comment I saw on Facebook: "He looks like a blue Elon Musk." Now while I do like them exploring the years between Episode 6 and Episode 7. It does create a story problem. In Episode 7 we're led to believe that the New Republic didn't consider the First Order to be a threat. Leia is just some paranoid old war-hero who refuses to accept the war is over and has formed the Resistance to keep an eye on the First Order. Having the New Republic think this way would make sense if the First Order has been staying put governing their corner of the galaxy and the last couple of decades have been pretty quiet. But as they make more series and movies covering these years between Episodes 6 and 7 they introduce a series of conflicts with Imperials that makes the New Republic's no nothing attitude about the First Order a pretty stupid one. It hasn't been 30 years of peace with zero threat from the remnants of the Empire. It has been 30 years of recuring threats from the remnants of the Empire.

    Rey wasn't a bad character (at first) in my opinion, but it ended with her defeating Sith Satan with her own god like force powers. Where's the challenge for her in a sequel?

    2 Questions 1. Where the hell were all these characters during the original trilogy? From what I saw of Rebels all these characters were in the thick of it. You'd think they would've played a bigger part. I didn't see them in the briefing scene to attack the Death Star II in ROTJ. I assume they all were dead or too old to be running around saving the galaxy stuff. Luke and friends could have really used their help. When the galaxy needed these heroes the most they decided to stay home till after the Emperor was dead. 2. Why aren't they older looking? Rebels took place 5 years before ANH. The Mando-verse takes place like 10 years after a ANH. Shouldn't these Rebel characters and all of Filoni cartoon characters be looking like they are pass they're 15 to 30 years past their prime?

    Jv is right you see we don't need a new thread for every rumor or early announcement. Trailer looks good. Doesn't make sense to have all these force users running around with light sabers. Where the hell were they during the OT? But it is based on a cartoon so that makes sense

    Not a bad episode it wrapped a few things up but I'm worried about the last 2 episodes. I'm afraid were going headed towards the very stupid.

    The thing about Filoni's cartoons is they are cartoons. It is a different form of media. Rules that apply to making a good cartoon episode isn't the same for making a good tv show, movie, novel or comic book. Cartoons are still written for children. They have children going along in the adventures because they are in a cartoon. As an audience we accept things like this because we know we're watching a cartoon. That doesn't apply for something made for an older audience. Worst they assume everyone has been following the cartoons. The casual fan doesn't follow all forms of Star Wars media. These live-action series will just throw in characters and plots from the cartoons with hardly any explanation or setup. Like these cartoons the Filoni TV shows do have some good episodes, but majority of them has become a cartoon. I like to see Filoni move away from his cartoon universe that he's been using a crutch.

    Latest episode the good The pacing of the episode. Bo and Mando finally have an overall quest for the season. On their journey they take a side mission to help a planet with a problem. As for the bad. Enough with the celebrity cameos. People liked Bill Burr how about more comedians. It is getting distracting. Especially when the celebrities are more known for being celebrities instead of actors that disappear into their parts.

    Stupid question about the Star Fleet Ship Museum. I know story wise they needed to meet up Geordi at his job and it need to be a safe location. Solution any remote star base or space station. They had to make it a museum with the most famous ships because of Easter Eggs. Why is this museum not in orbit around Earth or some busy planet with heavy traffic? You know a bunch passing active Star Fleet ships and tourists flying by? This is a museum with no visitors?

    Latest was an okay to good episode. You can really tell they tried to do this season as cheap as possible with once again everything happening on ship. They decided to fight back by creating a trap which backfires when an unpredictable element disrupts things. There's another cameo and name-dropped cameo. I have to wonder does anybody retire from Star Fleet? Should they have mandatory retirement age? In all the original TV shows we saw ships with crews between the ages of 20 to 50 and Admirals in their 50's and 60's. Why haven't we seen all the ships filled with mostly senior citizens?

    Is Mando even the star of this show any more? He had a quest during the first 1.5 episodes and since then he's just going along for the ride.

    Every Star Wars show is just a cute side kick, catchphrases and a memorable action scene. The rest is to promote the next series. Pretty much the Marvel formula.

    Stuff finally happens and we get info for stuff will be happening later this season. I'm thinking they could have given us a few of these scenes in earlier episodes to remind us there was a plan. A few things I found weird. Why would people want to live on Nevarro and how does it make money to support itself? The planet is a barren wasteland. I don't think it is on a trade route either. You don't see a bunch of transports stopping by. Mr. Smee from Disney's Peter Pan cartoon shows up. I get they want to show cracks in the New Republic structure but how does an uncaring pencil pusher get promoted to Colonel? I assume people with such rank in the New Republic were veterans of the Rebel Alliance. Did the Rebel Officers in the original trilogy strike you like such a person? Maybe the New Republic has been promoting outside of the Rebel Alliance vets. This guy was a corporate middle management type, and they decided that enough experience to earn that rank without actually taking part in the struggle. Another cameo by the cartoon universe. This guy can't let his characters go. Decades past and all these cartoon characters are still alive and haven't aged a day. You'd think most of them should be dead. Want to reach out and touch someone? All messages from planet to planet appear to require traveling to them in person. Not sure how time works. Somebody asks for help. Then there's about 4 trips take place before help arrives. Nobody seems to be in a rush during these trips.

    And then only one of them turned out to be changeling. At first I thought all of them were changelings. That would have made sense. This just looks like beating prisoners is the norm. How many of people did Worf beat to death on the Enterprize D?

    I watched the rest of that video. It sure is feeding the mindset of toxic fans. Here's the thing about "diversity" and "the message" ruining things; It's not. Crap would still be crap even if without diversity. Rabid fans believe these pop culture properties belong to them. If there's a new element that doesn't look like their own reflection than that's something to blame any failure on. Not every good speaking role needs a specific race or gender. Everyone is just so used to seeing white leads they automatically cast them. They do make an extra effort to cast minorities in the lead or rewrite a script to make a female the lead instead of prize to be fought over between the male hero and male villain. Inclusion isn't ruining things. Stuff is bad because it is bad. Once you start watching one of these bitter fan reviewers YouTube's AI will start feeding you more from other fans bitching about the same things. Watch those videos and then YouTube will recommend more videos bitching about diversity. This time the videos aren't about diversity ruining your favorite movie it is about diversity ruining your everyday way of life. Then next Thanksgiving you're the Facebook uncle of the family.

    Never watched his videos but seeing how often they get posted here I assume it the usual bitching that appeals to the worst type of fanboys. I'll give it a watch... And here we have it at 2:28 "this presided over by an incompetent diversity hire" him speaking about Kathleen Kennedy. I don't support many of her decisions with Star Wars but referring to her as diversity hire is a sexist statement. She been involved in producing some of the greatest block busters since before many of these angry fanboys were born. She could have handled Star Wars better, but she was qualified for the job.

    Andor was good because it wasn't Star Wars. Meaning they weren't following a formula. Like how every MCU movie follows a formula so does Star Wars under Disney's control. Andor is a good political thriller that could have been used with any movie franchise. Remove all traces of Star Wars and it still works. Writing a good Star Wars story isn't about coming up with popular characters and memorable moments. You need to have a very basic story that you want to tell. Want to tell a love story about finding love after suffering a terrible lost? Write all about that and just use Star Wars as the setting. Don't force the Star Wars formula when it gets in the way of the story. If the presence of Jedi and space battle at the end makes sense include it. If it doesn't leave them out. Much of Disney's Star Wars in just following the formula of repeating what works without telling a basic story. If a good story is there it is risk getting drowned out by the inclusion of got to have Star Wars elements. The Mandalorian seasons 1 and 2 had a basic story. Strip away all references to Star Wars and its basic story still works. A traumatized man has to get a child to safety but ends up becoming its father figure. A basic story that works so well, the actor does it again in The Last of Us. What is the basic story of this third season? A reluctant person learning to accept their destiny as leader of their people? A disillusioned leader being inspired to rise from the ashes? Friends who become bitter enemies? The challenges about being a single father? I don't know what this season is about. It could be about any of those or something entirely different. What it's about could change as the story progresses. At this point of the season, we should have clear idea of basic story is for the season. Instead stuff just happens. Actors these days take whatever jobs they get but I can't see Pedro excited about playing Mando this season based on the episodes so far. Go back to Return of the Jedi. Harrison Ford thought they should just kill of Han in the movie because the character had really nothing to do. There was no further growth for the character. They were just there. What personal challenges is Mando facing this season? Does Pedro get to act or he just here to collect a paycheck by reading lines from a remote location? Obi-Wan was a disappointment but there was still a basic story about a man who lost his faith and regains it in the end. Season 3 hasn't shown what it is yet and time is running out.

    It was good. I don't want to say really good because nostalgia is influencing my view. There was a couple did they forget those moments? I think they're ignoring stuff from the previous seasons. A bunch of Easter Eggs and it ends with us finding out what the stolen secret weapon is.🙄
