Having purchased the Blu-ray volume 1 & 2 and the requisite Blu-ray player: all I can say is 'Wow!' The quality of the animation, the tightness and pacing of the script, the overall high production values have produced an entertaining, brisk and extremely watchable show! To say that I am impressed is an understatement - this is magic! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2vVrxLhz5U&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Thanks guys! I'm pretty confident with scratchbuilding & mods, I'm just keen to confirm whether the 'real' (anime?) VF-0 had the c/f fitted in the locations as modelled in the other link. Regards, Greg

Thanks - that was the scene I was thinking of. Still can't find any pics of the outside though! Nagmammit! This is the build I was talking about: http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=210908 Regards, Greg

Guys, Just 'discovered' Macross Zero and the VF-0 (thanks VF-0 Master File). One of the builds online has chaff/flare buckets added to the arms. Does anyone have a reference for this, or is it creative licence? Also, any pics of the refuelling probe & recess would be helpful. Regards, Greg

That's a shame: they look great.

Yes please Mike! Please include an 'A' head. Any pics of competed ones? Greg

Looks amaze-balls! Very, very slick. More please!

Thanks - very helpful! Greg

I'm looking for an article I read about from a Japanese model magazine detailing a conversion of the Hasegawa 1/48 VF-1 fighter into a Battroid. Any help appreciated! Greg

1. VF-1A: toss up between Max or cannon fodder. 2. VF-11B: Isamu's with FAST packs & bayonet. 3. VF-1J: as it's the mount for three of my favourite characters. The VF-1S (TV) is also a favourite, but I think it has enough love... Greg

Is the Full Armour (GBP?) for the VF-11C still available?

Looks like I need to start saving for the nose! Much better idea than my vacform one. I may be able to help with the nose too.

Wow - thanks Dan. Any plans for an A head?

Impressive. I'm looking forward to seeing the new parts & how you're going to solve the arm extension and attachment, especially in Gerwalk mode. Greg

I'm looking more at the accidental breakage, not malicious intent. My son is pretty observant and detail focused though....

Thanks for the input guys, most appreciated. At first I was considering buying an unbuilt Yamoto and building it for him (modeller's habit)! Looks like there's lots of 1/55 CF joy on eBay. Good option for Australia. Thanks again. Greg

I'm a model builder, however, my 8 y.o. son now wants a VF-1 transformable toy. I'm equally concerned about robustness, ease of transformation and fidelity of representation. I hear the Yamato 1/60 is pretty good, but I'm envisaging a lot of hands on play.... Advice please! Greg

Thanks - didn't even see the penny. Oops. That is pretty freaken large. Looks fantastic too, even better now it's primed. Great work.
