Once again into the pre-order madness I go.

I just put together a Kallax last night. It'll serve as a boot bench in my mud room after we redo the floors. Seems pretty sturdy under my butt for now. Unless your Detolfs are full of rocks & fossils, it'll probably be fine. One could easily reinforce it by adding a plywood backing.

Interesting. At the last visit where I went looking for Detolfs, I noticed that they had discontinued the Expedit line and replaced it with the virtually identical-looking Kallax line. The only difference seemed to be that the outer edges panels were a bit thinner. I would think that routinely replacing the line-up is normal as styles change. But I feel like most of Ikea's designs are so simple that they could withstand many years of changing styles.

After seeing your post I want to check out the Kallax line. I was planning to buy the single column Expedit and use it as the base/riser for my detolfs. I wonder if that the single column (1 x 4) Kallax can support the weight of 3 detolfs?

I agree with you about their designs withstanding years without change. I am guessing the Kallax is cheaper to produce, due to the lesser amount of materials.

I saw that too. I got my Pre-Order invoice from HS and now its paid.

So now that i missed the yf-25 preorder i have -1exp. What does that mean? How do I get rid of it or bring it up?

See my post above #424, the link I have provided explains NY's point system. To bring it back up, all you would need to do is complete a purchase.

You can earn points that gain you levels, which are used to customize your NY page and after obtaining a certain level you can request a discount code. The amount of discount will be determined by NY based on your buying history.

Well...I just read the Discount Power page that Saburo posted (thanks!) and it looks like a moderately convoluted way to encourage your business and award you with some arbitrary discount once you've spent enough $$$.

Similar to something that AmiAmi and Hobby Search already offer, but more complicated and not as transparent to what you'd actually earn (by way of a discount).

It's good they have an incentive program, the strange part is that you don't know how much discount you will get. There is no tiered chart to show what levels get what discount. When you have reached the level for a discount, you send a request for a discount code and then they determine discount amount based on your buying history with them. I hope they day I request a code they are in a good mood (might be best to request after a holiday, they'll all be in good moods.) LOL

I read through the terms on NY website, here's how I think it goes.

You will gain points on completed purchases (paid and shipped). If the item was pre-ordered before the points system was started you will not earn points for that purchase, but if the item was pre-ordered after the points system was started you will gain points once it paid for and shipped.

I think that's how it works and why we are not getting points off the current items we have purchased. Here's the link, take a look I could have misunderstood the whole thing. hahaha

yeah, it's my fault for being late in opening a 29 so it's my first time transforming it. if you look at the left side of the picture i re posted from bandai, the yellow is scratched off. that seems to be where it seems likely to rub when i try to move out the head to get it in battroid.

I'll need to check mine when I get home. I transformed it once and left it in Battroid mode for a while then put it back to fighter mode.

I am very careful when transforming my Valks especially with the head.

I just checked my other PO status and they're all still safe, Saburo. But I do have now a -1 on my EXP points. Hehehe.

That's good know they are not being super harsh about it, but then again the situation will probably be different if you cancel multiple items/times.

Finally decided not to get it. Ignored NY's payment email deadline which is today. And lo and behold, got an email that my PO has already been cancelled. Just wish they don't cancel my other POs which is majority of them is for later this year. I haven't logged in yet on the main NY site so not sure if all my other paid POs are also been cancelled or not. Anyways, the budget alloted for the Prophecy went to my eBay YF-21 purchase. Hehehe.

I am curious to hear if they have cancelled you POs or not. I wouldn't think they would cancel them.

I finally got around to getting a 2nd VF-25A. I wanted to display different variants; naked and Super versions.

About time I post these, some updated pics of my skull team, I'm planning on repainting the AP though, I find the green beige I used is too green and dark. (I don't like sticking those super's missile pods out of the shoulder, looks weird. And I realised I forgot to bring the chest flap is down on the third picture )

Hazray13, I am planning to get detolfs soon and have been thinking of how to display the Valks. Kanedas Bike has good suggestions. I will probably organize by fighter series (VF-1, VF-25, etc...), and then fighter type (S, F, G, etc...).

Exactly my thoughts although it backfired... Another weird thing that happened is that my last order using a debit card got charged almost immediately then the money came back into my account (no idea how). Guessing its somehow follow the Credit Card charge when ship policy now???

Some of the shops do an initial pending charge for pre-orders to verify you have the available funds or credit on your card, then when the item is shipped they charge your card.

I browse Mandarake fairly regularly, I must have the worst timing or people are super fast at purchasing because I rarely see the good deals. Then again, the good deals are probably few and far between.

Is there a particular time when they post their new listings?

I had tried to purchase items from macrossfan00 during his previous for sale thread last year. At that time I had sent a PM and received one pm reply, no other replies to my subsequent PMs.

Haha.. "reasonable" pricing. Just before the YF-29 Ozma showed up I would see the VF-25S on Mandarake for about 35000 yen.

That's for the Renewal 25S, Super Parts AND Armor Parts included. When you factor in prices for all three items; $ 50-60 for Super, $ 180-$200 for Armor it's $ 450+ for a sealed 25S.

Crazy.
