If I was to buy more add on parts for my VF-25 bunch I think the following would be a nice balance..

Alto - Tornado (will purchase)

Ozma - Armored (purchased)

Michael - Super (purchased)

Luca - Super with Ghosts (finkin bout it)

Brownie - either bare or supers (not so fussed)

Prophecy - bare (nahh most likely not)

Just take your time and don't rush it. I was working a paint issue with one of other figures, I got anxious and it didn't turn out well, so I had to redo it again.

I am on the hunt. I have reading through Jenius' guides, its just trying to figure out which were the bad builds and good build of Yamato VF-1's when looking around online.

Yes, one VF-1 is never gonna be enough. It's like they breed in display cases... or that's how I explain it to my good lady.

I know I'll get one, I just to make sure I don't go crazy on the purchases. LOL, the stork shows up every month with a new addition to the family.

LOL, it's to the point that I don't have to explain. It's expected that I will have new valks show up either a couple times a month or whenever a new release comes out. I love that my wife is so understanding.

Thank you everyone! The VF-27 is my favorite Valkyrie of the Macross Frontier series because of its lethal evil looking design. The "renewal" figure could have been better but none the less its still awesome looking.

Amazing pics as always. Must say that the purple parts looks good on the colour of the 27. Orrrr it could just be your awesome photog skills.

You couldn't take any in Gerwalk/Fighter, could you? In my opinion this mold (the overall design, really) suffers in Battroid. I think it looks much stronger with that evil, Bird-of-Prey Gerwalk look and sleek Fighter mode.

I have some older photos of the VF-27, I am just not happy with them. I was going retake photos of Gerwalk/Fighter mode but didn't have enough time.

Yep, pics of the other modes please. Grace's 27 would be killer, especially if it was given the full Renewal treatment.

I would like to get a Grace 27 and also a low viz and yes Fighter and Gerwalk mode photos are on their way.

Is it just me or is there a little bit of green tint to the gray pieces? Obviously beautiful work again.

Thank you Jenius. Its not you, there was a bit of a green tint in the photo. I have adjusted the photos and its a bit better now.

The VF-27γ got some studio time.

thanks Saburo, i think it's more of a fear of loosening the ankles (but also the blk paint being scraped by the canopy) i want to preserve my ankles to be stiff as possible so i won't even extend the feet one inch lol.

300+ is too high of a price to risk loosening it.

Hahaha! Understandable, its a pricey figure to risk the chance of damaging it. I just bit the bullet and transformed my YF-19 for the first time (a few days after I got it), and then a second time to take pics of it. It remains in fighter mode now, but if I want to see it in other modes I just look at the photos I took. On a side note, I am considering making a coffee table photobook for myself.

Came in today. Love it. The colours are really nice. Nothing wrong with it that concerns me too much. Joints are tight and ok.

Nice poses! I have one of those mini VF-1's, and it the only VF-1 in my collection.

Sooo, mine arrived yesterday and had a little bit of blue paint spillover. It's similar to what was pointed out earlier in the thread.

Any tips on getting it off without ruining the rest of the paint and plastic finish?

Can you post pictures of the spillover?

ok so I paid for the Michael supers, awaiting confirmation for the Ozma Armored parts and also bought a YF-29 Isamu Dyson Custom!

I am the opposite my Ozma is forever in fighter mode, Battroid mode for special occasions.

Mmmm... I'm getting excited about the imminent release of tornado parts....

I am too, I have an Alto and Michael waiting to get Tornado Parts installed.

These photos have decided It! ♥ Definitely buying the Armored parts for Ozma! Its gonna be pricey buts its gonna happen! Also reaffirms that Ozma is the gun 25!!

Sorry spanner, I think that all of the Alto Tornado parts pre-orders are closed now. I am pretty sure it will be available when it releases, the G and RVF Super Parts were available for a while after they released.

I have the Arcadia VF-1S and have never noticed a pinkish hue?

In fact I was very surprised at just how bright white this is given that it's sold as the 'movie version'.

My Wife and I had a baby so I would slow down on my purchases.. The best I've heard was on anymoon's review of the Arcadia VF-1S. "If you are a fan of the VF-1, you really owe it to yourself to get one of these toys....but you should be warned, buying one of these often leads to you buying many many more."

I was looking at the Acradia VF-1S, but I was reading posts about the pinkish hue and that is what is preventing me from buying them. I am not sure if Arcadia has changed/fixed that. For now I'll start by hunting down a Yamato VF-1S Roy and Hikaru, preferably with Super/Strike parts.

Am I the only one hearing voices when I look at Saburo's photos...

It's a cliché I guess but the Detolf route is a good one, especially if your collection keeps expanding!

They are cheap, look good, can easily take lighting, and don't take up that much space - well, relatively speaking ;-)

I will more than likely going to go with Detolfs, but before I get them I am going to build some risers for them.

I also told myself the same thing. But that was 2 Valks ago right after I said I'm not gonna buy for now after purchasing those Alto's expensive 2 Packs. Hahaha!

Where do your valks live when not being photographed? Do you have a display cabinet, I'd love to see that if you have?

My collection has out grown the bookshelf I was displaying them on when I started out. Now most of my Valks are displayed on a bookshelf, there are a few still in boxes and some are on my coffee table and dining table. I am currently looking at my options for display cases.

I was on Jungle the other day and saw that Valk plus armour for reasonable money. The Valk was B graded with slight damage to box, the armoured parts were minty sealed fresh. Got them both delivered plus fees to UK for £300. They let you choose to have them sent as a gift too so that will help dodge ridiculous customs charges.

So I had to promise no more valks for a while to keep the other half sweet.

You can do the transformation, I was scared transforming my YF-19 for the first time. I just took my time and everything went well.
