That looks great Old Man! I will need to do something like that when I get my cases.

Bigger pic of my avatar. Wearing Sheryl VB t-shirt. As you can see the hip joints are tight on mine but the wings are loose. Hopefully the second release would address this issue or extra support parts for the wing armour part.
Cool shirt! You brought Ozma out for some food?
-
Nah. Sorry about that, Saburo. I'm just throwing a sarcastic remark on them for the final 'black' support parts since what they've shown on the instruction video was purple-colored ones. Hahaha!
I guess, from what you've read and thinking that it WAS from them, it shows that we've been FOOLED again by Bandai. Hahaha!
By the way, you're welcome.
Sure you're not gonna transform it not even once for your amusement esp since it has a different transformation sequence?
Haha, thanks for the clarification. I am just being hopeful the pieces will be molded in black. If does come in molded in gun pod purple, I will have to paint them black.

Ok, so I rewatched again the video from antibiotictab with fresh-rested eyes. Just to confirm, heck, to convince myself if the Battroid Support Parts is necessarily to use or just an added option part, well, to pretty hold everything in place. OR worst if it's just a late-added part or an afterthought when they noticed that the nosecone will not hold in place.
And here's what I've noticed:
nosecone_snapshot_01.jpg nosecone_snapshot_02.jpg nosecone_snapshot_03.jpg nosecone_snapshot_04.jpgnosecone_snapshot_05.jpg nosecone_snapshot_06.jpg nosecone_snapshot_07.jpg nosecone_snapshot_08.jpg nosecone_snapshot_09.jpg nosecone_snapshot_10.jpg nosecone_snapshot_11.jpg
After seeing it and thinking about it, I'm still glad that Bandai did something before the product is released. Even if this is an afterthought or late-added option, I'm still glad they did even if it's kinda let down. Since I'm paying for an expensive toy, I just want it to be perfect, but hey, as life have thought me... there's nothing perfect in this world.
By the way, I'm still looking forward to see what kind of Option Parts they will offer soon.
Thank you no3ljm for the video analysis. That note on the support part being black on the last image, is that what was said in the video?
As for the supports, I am ok with the support pieces. Its not optimal but I am glad Bandai did something about it before release.

Nice pics Falcon18, the VF-1S looks good!

spanner76 - Yes! I got that idea from another Macross world member a few months back. (Sorry, the name slips my mind) I bought some from a outdoor shop for 4 bucks? I just tie it under the bars and push and pull it for angles and such. I want to titlt the 1/48 down a bit to show the top.
It's strong, and light, and gives you a lot of options. The best part is you can barely see it
Dapro - Thank you sir
Saburo - I've posted some in the Godzilla movie thread in the Sci-fi forum, but I can post some for you I have the GMK, 84, and 2003 currently.
That would be cool, or just give me the link to your post.

Finally took some pics of my collection.
I've packed 'em in a bit more than I'd like, but I think it's a nice mix of using the space wisely and keeping it somewhat clean. I like to keep it colorful for sure.
Top shelf is TV with Hik in the forefront. Love the Destroids framing the Elint.
Next one down is for M & M and my Angel bird. I need a Max Vf-1J or maybe slap some supers on my Virgin Road.
3rd shelf is for Low viz and such.
Bottom shelf is some none SDF fighters.
I definitely have a few more pieces that I want, but I'm happy after 1 years. Has it been 1 year already?
It went by fast
Nice collection and congrats on 1 year! Would you happen to have pics of the Godzillas?

Nice shot TCracker, looking forward to your action poses.
Took a few photos in the evening light. Beautiful bird.
I'm not a huge fan of Frontier and bandai valks, but the fighter modes can't be fraked with.
Awesome shots Gakken85! Godzilla not coming over today? j/k

Nice. Can you show me a screen capture of the 599XX that you were working on? You got me curious. Hehehe.
I wish I could... My xbox 360 and it's HDD died about a year ago. . All I have left are some screen caps of the Aventador.
-
David, the canopy and fold crystal look good! Are you planning to paint the canopy a lighter blue also?
-
Sorry Saburo for the color change. But it really looks like a Ferrari Valk, doesn't it?
That's cool with me. Yes, it does have a Ferrari look to it. Funny you mention that, I played Forza a lot and I made skins for Lamborghini Aventador based on the Skull Squadron VF-25s. I was working on a skin for the Ferrari 599XX based on the VF-27, but I never finished it.

Hmm, I might need one of these. That Gerwalk does look pretty mean.
I agree, in gerwalk mode the VF-27's lethal bird-of-prey appearance is even more pronounced.
I love this shot! It looks more bad-a$$ looking than Alto's Durandal. Makes me really want one now. Bandai please release Mei's custom color VF-27y and reissue Ozma's 25S and I will forgive you for the YF-30 Battroid support bracket. Hahaha!
Saburo, are you sure you don't put wax coat on your Frontier babies? They look so 'shiny'. So shiny it rivals Char's red mobile suits. Hehehe.
Thanks, I was very pleased with that shot. I took a bunch of shots to get it to how I liked. haha no waxing, that just the natural shininess.
Thank you technoblue! I am trying to keep my photos from getting boring, so as I learn more I try new techniques for the pictures, but I do keep the standard shots too.I also admire your work, Saburo. I know it may be getting repetitive, but your photographs keep improving and each new shoot is that much more impressive. Very admirable, and thank you for sharing!
Now, the question is do I save some money and pick up a real camera and a lightbox to start learning this myself or do I just pick up that cunning VF-27γ to pose with my Alto VF-25F since the tornado parts are coming soon?
That is a good question, either choice is good. You can make a DIY light box, and use the camera you have for now. I have seen some really nice shots just using a camera phone and a light box. From there you can decide if you want to take the plunge into the photography pool.

Hi Saburo,
Your pics are just awesome. Makes me enjoy my VF27 so much more
Thank you and glad I could help.

Looks like they are just learning from previous mistakes, and looking to avoid any future renewals with the brace.
It looks like it has the VF-4 style shorty fists in fighter, that have to be swapped out in order to hold the gun pod.
The joints look really good, and it looks like that missile pod will stay up just fine.
I am glad they are including them, I just hope those are prototype parts in the video and the bracing parts are molded in black when it released. Either way the YF-30 looks good and can't wait for it to join my squadron.
-
I wish this video would help you.
Thank you for the video!
Interesting... That's the first time they have shown those bracing pieces, I can't recall seeing them in the previously posted pics.
-
Got my payment request too. The wait is almost over!

Think I'm going to finally check out some LED lighting strips for my shelves. They really do make the display "pop".
-b.
You thinking of the standard light LED strips or the type that you can change the color? I have seen some displays using the color change LEDs and they can make the display quite dramatic.
-
I had a light shining above me when I first opened my renewal 25S. But in a matter of seconds, only to drop in the dungeon of despair with raging fire when I found out it is missing the air intake covers on the hips and the crotch piece.
Yup. It was MISB.
That sucks even more because it MISB. Glad you were able to get out of the dungeon of despair with the help of armored set.
-
Great photography skills, Saburo! Now I want to have a VF-27 too. I know I told myself that I will just buy Red and Black stripe scheme. But if Bandai releases this variant... I might buy one.
*snip*
Thanks no3ljm! I would get that color scheme too.
Mommar & Sildani here's a few more pics.

The new girl I just got Tuesday; she's quite the big lady. (Pirate Ozma for scale)
IMG_2865 by Mike - drowning in plastic, on Flickr
Nice! Space Pirate Captain Ozma and his well equipped Meltran friend.
-
Just get any V2. There's no bad build to that with shapeways shoulder replacements.
Thanks Falcon, that should help with the hunt.
-
Haha yes it did as a matter of fact. I could have sworn I heard a choir of angels too.
Now I have a display conundrum...
Haha... I can't quite recall but I vaguely remember a pillar of light beaming up from the figure to the sky when I opened mine, then waking up and seeing VF-25S in full armor on my coffee table. LOL
The VF-25S deserves its own shelf.
