  1. Seeing as how the turret hinge cuts right through the skull insignia, the shield would have been a much better place for the design.

I was thinking the same thing. Place some geometric back art where the turret hinge is and place the skull on the shield. Then that would be covered by the super parts later, so they should put a bigger skull on the shield cover. :)

  2. That's the old 19 (that Ive sold). It can hold19 in fighter & battroid or 21/22 in battroid only. Or you can get EXO's Bandai-to-Yamato adapters for those :

Bear in mind that the old 19 is way lighter than the new one..so, not sure if it can carry the weight of the new 19.

Theyre wobbly, but stable. Not to the point that it would topple if you nudge it or if somebody accidentally hit the table/display case. Most it would do is wobble until it reaches steady state.

Thanks for the info aaajin. I'll look into it.

  3. I wanted to wait till I get 25A's super parts which the other two will be equipped with, but couldn't wait to share this with you guys. My own VF-25 skull team! Might buy a 4th one if I am able to figure out how to recolour Alto's pack (especially the rotating VTOL engine) or if Bandai releases one for the 25A (which probably wont happen). Pardon my amateur photography skills

    That looks awesome, great job!

striking some dynamic poses for the ol 19 and 22S. selling the 19's but might as well post it here :

Nice! How stable is the action base for the YF-19? I need to find a stand for mine.

  4. That right...but according to HLJ, "This item is expected to be released in 05/2014. We will accept additional orders at that time if supplies are sufficient." That weird cause we know it will released in july with the tornado parts...... Maybe is their mistake in this announce.

    http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN964807/Sci

Nope, July according to Bandai. I think there have been other examples of HLJ getting release dates a little incorrect, but unless they (HLJ) has a separate batch to release these should be out in July to coincide with the Tornado Parts.

    -b.

I was going through and confirming the release date on the F re-reissue and emailed HLJ about the date they had on their page, here is their reply.

    Thank you for writing.

BAN964807 VF-25F is scheduled to be reissued in July. We do not know the exact reissue date, but usually new/reissue items are released at the end of a month.

  5. Getting any paint to stick on the VF-25 is really tough. Even with primer and clear coat a lot of parts are gonna get scratched during transformation and the original colors will show through.
We have seen a few easy mods like a simple line recoloring.
I modded one of my altos to be grey :0

Duymon, the grey color scheme looks great.

  6. i have two on pre order, was thinking of keeping one and letting the one on hlj go, but Saburo convinced me in getting two ozma super parts so i'm committed to two.

    :D

Later you can decide to sell one of the YF-29s as a set with the Super Parts :)

  7. Screw speculating, I just picked up a 4th 25S for only ¥22000 through one of my friends in Japan, and my g/f will bring it over for me next week when she comes over to NYC (Shipping only costed 1100 dollars for the plane ticket......) If only they'd release an ozzy tornado pack :0

Maybe I'll display it naked in gerwalk next to these suckers ;p

Duymon very nice having 4 of them. I just have 1 Ozma renewal and hoping one day to get a 2nd and maybe even a 3rd one.

  8. ^^Ah, makes perfect sense. Thank you both!

    Kaneda

I adjusted the 2 of the images and added them to my previous post. Its a bit closer to what it would really look like.

Again, thanks for sharing Saburo. That blue Super Parts does fit nicely with that 25A.

No problem. :) Post some pics when you can. I am still learning as go with photography, but if you have any other questions feel free to PM me.

  9. I'd also like to asked whether the blue is the same as the previous super parts blue. I would be very pleased if they are actually darker (to be closer to the ozma armor my 25A is wearing)

I think that Saburo's pictures have a richer colour so that may cause the blue to look like that. The more saturated/darker look of the blue is beautiful on the beige of the 25A.

edit: Looks like he answered it before I could post. Thanks!!

Thanks close313! Actually you said it much better than I did. I was analyzing my process and how it would affect the color. I was over thinking again. :)

The only Super Parts I am not sure of is the Ozma set. I have a set, but they are sealed and Ozma only wants to use the Armored Parts. hahaha

  10. Saburo, I love your photos, care to share your technics?

Thank you for the compliment much appreciated! I shoot with low ISO within the 100 - 400 range, timed exposure, in a small photo booth I made and use a tripod. As for lighting, I am using a standard floor lamp using daylight bulbs reflected off the ceiling or sunlight. I don't really have that much fancy equipment, I am making do with what I have. :) Hope that helps.

As usual very nice pics.

The Super Parts look so blue (is it my monitor?). Earlier pics showed them in a closer, or same, shade as the Super Parts for the 25F, S, G and RVF, so now I'm curious as to which color is true(er) to life.

NY shipped mine with the second batch as well, after these pics I'm kinda stoked to get them.

    -b.

    Kaneda,

Thank you again for the compliment. :)

I was looking the super parts for the A, and they are the about same color the F, G, and RVF, which is a grey with a bit of blue in it. I did notice all the printing on them is lighter compared to the others. The blue in the photos is being enhanced more than likely by a combination of my lighting, longer exposure and Photoshop work.
