sorry to contradict you guys, but... let me express my opinion... I'd like Hasegawa to make transformable models... If they did, they'd beat Bandai and Arii easily Of course making a model that's both highly detailed AND transformable would cost them time and hard work Maybe so much that they would'nt find it economically interesting.

Yep... amazing how wonderful the Canadian medical system is when my state is flooded with Snow Birds that come here for the health care services provided. Blame Canada Well if Anakin gets cured in Canada, he might as well not get out of the hospital alive... so no Dark Vader, which would be good for the entire universe except that... there would be no more episodes 4,5 and 6! hey that s**ks! Besides, yes, I must admit that Canada's health system is very very crappy... and doctors complain all the time, even though they get the same salary as that of a company director. Where does the problem come from? Doctors in Canada want to be both paid by the state AND have high wages... so the state can not afford enough of them... Doctors in France get paid, in average, around the third of what they would get paid in Canadat... and they do not complain as much as the Canadian doctors ... so the state can afford enough of them... OK, I must admit this is way OT. But, Dude, try France for a change... much better there ... not completely free but almost

I hope he gets cured in Canada or France, otherwise it might cost him a bunch of bucks... Anyway Canada and France will soon be declared part of the "Axis of Evil" by an unbiased leader of an unbiased country

Well personally I like a lot to watch completed, finished, painted and weathered models, whether custom or not... so I think that a gallery with a predetermined number of shots for the best models made by MW forum members would be a very good idea. Just my 2 cents.

OK, I get it... yes, there is a gap here too, but I didn't pay that much attention to it... what I paid the most attention to, I think, is that in terms of PROPORTIONS, this custom battroid looks very good even though it was made out of parts taken from the fighter model (amazing!)... which seems to mean that th YF-19 does not need anime-magic to transform (I know'I'm repeating myself)... As for the gap between the torso top and nosecone, well maybe SOME anime-magic is required there , specifically ... the nosecone and the top torso do not have the same shape on the fighter (the top torso part that fits on the nose is narrower than the noe cone I think), so.... they cannot fit naturally, which is unfortunate... But even with those ( very ) minor glitches, that battroid still is great I really mean it!... If only I had the time to build models I'd buy Hase's YF-19 and try the conversion too

Well actually I think that the nosecone doesn't look too long on the battroid's chest here... I mean... personally! And regarding the gap between the nosecone and the belly, the "standard" toys or garage kits by yamamoto or studio half-eye had a "part" that made the link between the nosecone and the chest more "oblique" (not annihilating the gap however) - see pic below. Maybe that idea could be "recycled", improved into something better... (by making this part more "vertical" and articulated on the nosecone and not on the torso for example) Actually I just had a look at the "wave" section of Macrossworld, and... yes, that is the kind of solution I would think about if I had to build something to fill the gap... Other pic on next message...

By the way, Alpha, have you thought about trying to see what the battroid looks like with the Hase fighter's original wings? They might be a bit too long (and maybe drag behind ) however I'm curious about what it would look like... And, once again, all my congratulations!

Ryuji... how about this one Personally I find that it is the best of all drawings of Minmei by Mikimoto... the proportions of the body look more natural, real-life-like... whatever...

I find this conversion absolutely gorgeous! Definitely worth it!!! In terms of proportions, the battroid looks perfect! This seems to prove that a "perfect variable" YF19 should be realizable... The only little detail that I do not like is the gap betheen the sternum and the "belly". Otherwise it's really great and it'll look better once painted! Congratulations to the maker of this conversion!
