  1. I'm kinda curious if they took the extra time to fix the cockpit. It looked pretty bad in my opinion and could easily be fixed.
  2. Okay. Let's go over this one last time. Maybe a mod can somehow make this stand out more so everyone will read it. And again, PSP modding from what I understand is NOT illegal as it is a software mod, not a hardware mod. QUICK INFO GUIDE ABOUT PSP MODDING NOTHING TO DO WITH INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO MOD PSP's can play GAMES from ANY region. PSP's can ONLY play MOVIES from the region the PSP was bought in. PSP's once MODDED can play MOVIES from ANY region. MODDING requires NO MOD CHIP, it's all software mods. Though you do need either a battery tool or a pandora's (modified) battery to install the software. MODDED PSP's can play games/movies/applications/etc. from the memory cards (for the most part, there are a few exceptions where a game has to be in the PSP, but it won't be what's played, the PSP just needs to think that it's playing the game by spinning a disk. If you keep a game in your psp at all times, then you don't have to worry about this 99.9% of the time). Feel free to ask any questions not answered above.
  3. Actually, nobody knows who it's supposed to be. It's codename is "Stinger" and people have speculated that it might be Blurr. I personally don't like the design, but it is a step toward the right direction b/c the first movie designs were atrocious. I'll go ahead and say that from the designs I've seen so far (real or misinformation), they still suck and don't look like Transformers. They instead look like generic transforming robots.
  4. I used a free Fandango ticket I had won from a long time ago to go see this movie. I was literally the only person in the theatre (which was creepy in way). However, I really enjoyed the film. I thought the characters had personalities that surpassed their real movie selves. I can't wait for the new cartoon series...
  5. You know, even FIX figuration Gundam toys come with a TON of accessories, usually so many that you can transform the figure from one mobile suit to another. I haven't seen where the VF-25 will be coming with anything extra, but I'm hoping that's just b/c there isn't a ton of info on it yet. If it comes with different armors and stuff, then I might not care too much about perfect transformation if it looks beautiful in battroid and fighter modes.
  6. I just hope they eliminate they let you use any valk from any timeline after beating all the missions like in the GB series. And for those of you on the board who aren't skilled enough to get A or S on all ranks, most pilots were unlockable by finishing certain stages but could be unlocked much earlier if you got an A or S rank on certain missions. Same goes with unlocking mechs in GB. A smal scale SDF would be cool. Maybe even all the various ones as secret unlockables??? That would rock.
  7. Got my ARX-08 finally (took forever from HLJ... 28-29days). Anyway, I'm pretty impressed. I have a few minor annoyances with it (like slightly off-center drilling/holes so the waist doesn't sit in perfect alignment with the abdomen). But other than small things like that, I love it! I haven't even gotten a chance to mess with all the armor add-ons or the BFG, but the normal figure is amazing. Definitely one of the best Revoltech figures I've seen. The mounting of the upper legs to the back of the hip instead of the bottom of the waist or center increased the leg mobility IMO and was a great idea/design. The revoltech joints are kind of odd on this one, they actually have a large amount of flex in them and seem like they would be pretty hard to break. Oh, and for those that have it on order, wait until you get the box and see just how much stuff comes with it. I was kinda shocked b/c there is SO MUCH STUFF...but that's a good thing. Edit: I've now had a chance to put on all the extra arms and such and it's still super cool. Anyone who vaguely likes Revoltechs or FMP should get this. If you like both, then you should have one already (on order or in hand)... All in all, fantastic toy and I hope that they make an ARX-7 at some point. As far as villain mechs go, I don't really care too much for the Venoms in the show and I haven't read far enough ahead in the manga/books to see if there are any "newer" enemies that look better.
  8. Update. First package arrived today. So in total, it took 28 days to get here where a year before now (actually about 4-5 months b/c I remembered I got Revoltech Gurren Lagann from them) it was only taking 15-18 days. So I guess shipping is just flat out taking longer now. I'll update if the other package arrives quicker or slower.
  9. Just thought I'd post a follow up that I know that HLJ has no control after it leaves their store. However, I haven't ordered anything from them in awhile and recently, the shipping via SAL may have gotten much slower in general and that's what I was trying to get at and ask about. I was just curious if anyone using SAL to the US has seen a recent slow down in package arrival speed. And since HLJ ships a ton of stuff, I figured someone else would know. Thanks for all the suggestions, but as long as I don't have a package lost, I'll continue to stick to SAL b/c it's cheaper.
  10. HLJ will replace a lost order (within 6 months of the original shipping date). I wouldn't be paying for a second one, just waiting longer to get it. And I guess you guys don't know this, but the packages shipped SAL are trackable, they just don't provide you with the tracking information. The Japanese post office can track the packages within 6 months of when it was shipped according to HLJ.
  11. Yeah, but EMS was actually about as expensive as the item I ordered. For larger, more expensive stuff, then it's not so bad.
  12. That reminds me. I forgot to say I use SAL shipping. I'd use EMS, but it's just too expensive. On the two items I ordered, the EMS was double the price of the SAL shipping and I'm usually not in a big rush to get stuff, but with it taking this long I'm concerned the packages might be lost... And I have noticed in the past year or so that they have been being skimpy with packing materials as well. I've had several things arrive with nothing more than plastic wrapped around them (the kind from the automatic machines) that does nothing to protect the thing inside. That being said, a few items have arrived in less that top shape in terms of boxes.
  13. I've been a customer with them for around 10 years now (I think, maybe more, maybe less but a long time either way). It usually takes a package 15 days to get to me from them (I live in Georgia/USA). Right now, I have two packages coming from them. They "shipped" 4 days apart and I have yet to receive either, making it 27 days for the first package and 23 days for the second. Has anyone else had considerably longer shipping times recently? I know they have disclaimers about shipping times in their faq, but with 10-ish years of experience, the longest it EVER took to get a package from them was 18 days, though I haven't ordered anything from them since the Megahouse Stick came out so it's been awhile. And I figured this was the best forum for this kind of question since it's not directly Macross related and pretty much all the other forums are directly related to Macross, even the buy/sell forum.
  14. I think for a handheld game, the video we've seen is pretty great. And yeah, the gameplay in the Gundam Battle games CAN be VERY shallow if you use certain mechs and weapons. And seriously, this is a handheld game. The controls will be a little limited b/c of the PSP's design, but it looks like they are doing a lot with what they have to work with other than using the d-pad to move instead of the thumbstick, which I still feel is a dumb move. But overall, this game looks fantastic for a PSP game.
  15. For anyone who hasn't seen the white piccolo (yes, he's white, not green), here is the link. http://www.iwatchstuff.com/mt/mt-search.cg...s&blog_id=1 I think all these hollywood director's should be dragged out into a street and beaten b/c some artistic visions need to stay true to the original artists. I mean this looks like the biggest piece of poo since the first dragonball movie. I take that back, the first one will probably be better as it was funny as heck to watch...
  16. So any word on FAST packs or accessories? All the shots I've seen are just of the valkyrie all by itself.
  17. I'm sorry, that thing doesn't look like a $50 toy. Maybe $30 region, but nothing more than that. Definitely a pass for me since $50 warrants PT or very close and some armor at that scale.
  18. Been a little behind on episodes and just watched this one. Gotta say I am absolutely sick of the stereotypical die as soon as love is confessed theme. It has been played out. I lost a lot of respect for the show and writers with that scene. Why don't they take a lesson from One Piece and have everyone live that's a "good guy". That'd be pretty different in a modern anime show. The only way they can change my mind about that scene is if Brera picks him up in his fighter from space (b/c it was being remote piloted and thus had an open cockpit to pick someone up in). That would be different from the norm.
  19. But from what someone said, these are as big as the Mac+ Valks (which I assume they mean the 1/72 ones). If they are that dang big, then there is no reason the hinges should be weak. Heck, they could even use some metal hinges for the weak ones. It really just seems to me like they are trying to rush a product to market or take the easy way out instead of actually thinking it through...
  20. One of the maing things that I see that's wrong with the VF-4 is the nose on the one in the SHE/fan kit is too long. A shorter nose would look much better IMO. Also, if the VF-25 is gonna be as big as the Mac+ valks, then they can make it PT and there really shouldn't be too much problem with the "it's too small of a scale" excuse. Bandai can do it, it's just a matter of IF they want to do or take the cheap way out that won't please as many people (and won't make me want to pay more than $30-ish).
  21. But that's kind of what I'm getting at. He had to change his work. And his "vision" may be pretty similar to what it ended up being, but if it was slightly off then he would definitely say it's not as he envisioned it. Even throwing away the whole script doesn't mean the overall progression changed. It just means how quickly or what is said changed. He may have planned all along to have every event that occured in R2 to occur in the one he threw away, just not so quickly. I htink the show could have been better if stretched out another couple episodes (like 10 to make things a little slower paced), but overall I like how it has shaped up. The ending is all that's left to determine if the series was good or not in my opinion and if Schniezel Britania wins, then I think it will be a bad series for me.
  22. Somebody said there were pics of some of these out already earlier in either this thread or the vote thread, has anyone had any luck in finding those pics?
  23. All that shows is that it was rushed. Not that it was drastically different than the original plan. To me, it feels like Gundam X, which was rushed in the end. Although w/ Gundam X, the plot didn't really change too much, everything was just rushed. I have a feeling Code Geass is the same way. And I'll agree that it doesn't have the same feel as last time, but how many times will the enemies fall for his plans?
  24. What would the translation into correct English be? And it's not that making a non-PT valk is bad, but for $50, PT is pretty much an absolute must unless these things are freaking gorgeous and accessory filled, especially since they have larger versions that they can use to scale the transformation down with (I know it's not super simple, but the $50 price tag should imply some pretty hefty engineering).
  25. I'm just curious. How do people KNOW that the series is significantly different than what it was going to be (I've seen people posting about it being seemingly drastically different than the creator's original vision)? I know it feels rushed and a few things might have happened slightly differently, but I think the overall progression is probably something like the current series. It doesn't really even seem all that "kiddie-fied" to me either. And I kinda like how things are shaping up now.
