it looks good but i have yet to see it with FP's so i don't really care. if yamato is going to sell the FP seperately, im just not buying these. the FP's are small to begin with so it should be cheap, but with yamato oversized packaging its probably going to end up being a rip off.

my friend forced me to watched this last night and its actually amazing how bad they made this show in only 3 episodes. and is it just me or is the girl playing the teenage terminator just not very attractive?

my collection has dwindled considerably since that pic. i don't own any DYRL valks outside of the 1S roy, i sold all my TV valks except the 1J and CF, but i kept all the non-canon schemes because i feel they are more unique. if you saw a pic of my shelves now, you'd think i was getting out of this hobby. i started with a 1/60 because i didn't want to shell out for a 1/48. the main reason i picked up the 1/60's is because of its diecast content giving it the feel/weight of a real toy. its pretty much why i haven't sold any of them even after hearing the news of the newer 1/60's. i prefer diecast toys in general and i already know several versions/scales of the VF-1 in plastic.

its not an enclosed cabinet but this is what i'm working with. the pic is really old, i've sold a lot of my collection since but thats my shelf.

good tip on the LED's. i never thought of that. correct me if i'm wrong but i think 9.5" is shorter than the length of a 1/48? the lack of depth in display cabinets has been bothering me for a while. i want it so i can have all 3 modes displayed one behind the other but i've never see one that deep that wasn't custom made or an open display.

there are certain types that are better than others but overall, all lighting is bad for your toys(well mostly just white plastics). the halogens hes got going on there are super bright and get super hot. we all know light is bad but with the addition of heat, it makes it even worse.

the other downside are those halogen lights you got there. while its nice and bright, they're not very good for your toys dood. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- the free way to get a display cabinet is to look for someone whos going out of business. the owner has to pay a waste management company to haul that kind of stuff away, so all you have to do is offer to throw it away for them and just take it home with you. if he tries to sell it to you, just say no and come back after closing hours and take it. he'll just think the garbage man took it and you get a display cabinet for free.

and once i again i find myself living in the wrong country.

i've come across this very situation a few times and let me tell ya.... going on vacation sounds good but when the vacation is over, its just over. while much like an STD, a macross toy is the gift that keeps on giving.

i feel you but you could say that for every toy out there. its simple, if its not original then its just not the same. same reason why painting a VF-1 grey doesn't make it a Low-Viz.

no not at all but a lot of people tend to want the toys they can't have, this will probably be one of those toys. i wasn't really interested in these because of their small size but i would've considered picking them up if i found them cheap. but as it stands now, with no possibility of ever colelcting them all, i've lost all interest in these. to each his own i guess.

fo-shizzle! i think everyone on here has stated that they'd prefer a bigger legioss toy but companies can't seem to grasp the concept of "bigger is better" when it comes to this particular toys design. i'm not sure what people are saying on the japanese fan sites but the english speaking ones have been saying the same thing for years.

why the surprise? i can't think of a single person that likes collecting lines that they can't complete...that is without paying out the ass for some exclusive/limited item, its a huge turn off for a lot of people. theres quite a feew toy lines i would've collected had it been "fair" for everyone but when i hear/read "chase, exclusive, or limited", i just move onto other things. i feel no desire to pay an outrageous sum of money because some guy thats not even into the toy line, buys them up just to scalp them on ebay, which is pretty much what happens with anything chase/exclusive/limited.

considering doesn't mean i'm selling. but if the LV on its own fetches $400, i know i'll get a pretty penny for mine with the 3 heads(J/S original, D recast). i'm keeping my eye open and seeing if i can score big. i love my LV, it was my 1st 1/48 but i know i'll love $400+ even more.

i think this is the first time i'm jealous of someone elses macross purchase. too cool!

i think the main problem is that companies are influenced by old gakken design. why not try something different instead of more of the same? the simple solution for the radar pod would be how change how its mounted/designed. all the previous legioss toys have it so the RP is either fixed and part of the "flap" like the old gakkens, or involve parts swapping like the toynami's. but if they made it so there was no "flap"(or at least so it doesn't flip open to the left or right) and made it so it just mounts onto the shoulder itself, it would solve the head turning issue even if it isn't completely true to the anime. now i'm sure someone is thinking, "what about the peg hole for the RP, that would make fighter mode look ugly and i don't want some hole in my shoulder?" well they could make it so it magnetically attaches to the shoulder so no peg hole would be needed. and because the "flap" doesn't flip open to the left or right(the main reason why you can't rotate the torso), it would allow the torso to move more freely for better posability, thereby killing 2 birds with one stone. someone really needs to be cutting me checks for my ideas damn it!

i wonder what i would get if i sold mine and included the J, S, and D heads? if it sells for $400, i may consider selling mine....

maybe you guys can help? i'm having a hard time getting the airbrake part(don't know what to really call it) on my MP SS to sit flush in fighter mode. anyone know how to fix this? or if its even fixable? thanks in advance!

and that right there was the last nail in the coffin. i really hate it when company makes some exclusive figure making it impossible to complete their collection. this is right up their with my dislike of having to buy blind cases to get a chase figure. 100% pass. i'll go with megahouse for now but they got that stupid ass mail away thing going on.

i really hope you're wrong. i thought the shoulders being in the way was another case of mistransformation, i mean who the heck makes a robot toy where the head doesn't turn? thats just retarded.
