  1. considering how i never really cared for the 21's battroid mode, nothing bothers me about it. after the first transformation to battroid(just to give it the once over), it'll be displayed in fighter mode for years to come. if anything i'll just display the 1/72 version of it battroid mode since it doesn't suffer from the lack of leg flare. *poke poke*
  2. parts swapping/removal for a $60-ish dollar toy doesn't bother me to much, i mean its only $60. but it would bother me a great deal if i paid some yamato-esque price and invloved the same amount of effort.
  3. i own one, the stand alone ghost comes with all the extras.
  4. the aoshima legioss is pretty much the same POS as the toynami legioss other than it has a couple of extra missiles. the arms don't sit flush in any way, it still has the half visible missiles on the forearms, the same crooked head, and the same crappy vinyl hands that crumble when exposed to air. if you get it super duper cheap, maybe it'll be okay but for the most part, they still suffer from the same QC issues as the toynami release.
  5. i'm not sure what the shipping is going to be(dont' know the weight?)but looks like over-drive-inc is going to get ALL the orders.
  6. i heard that whitening toothpaste works but i've never tried it myself. from what i understand, theres really is no way to reverse the effects of yellowing once it starts. heres a link to my favortie article in regards to yellowing plastics... http://www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives/189 i've linked this several time in the past but its a interesting read.
  7. wow the beagle looks so good. it will grace my shelves soon.... thats is, if the price is right.
  8. holy frickin crap! neova is back and posting, welcome back man!
  9. hobo? i make a good living so its not a money issue. theres principalities involved here! and yes thats a made up word.
  10. yet another macross release i'm passing on because of their asking price. yamatos been sucking their fans dry from day one and its only a matter of time before everyone gets tired of it. i know i certainly am.
  11. completely off topic but the best yamato box to date is the blank white one that came with the stealth giftset. why? because you can use it to make custom boxes for your custom valks. now back to your regularly scheduled programming.
  12. i'll wait on the tread review but to me the legioss itself has no real value. spending that kind of money just to get the tread isn't happening even though i'm down with mospeada. i just can't justify the money for what you get and all the liberties they took upon themselves to get it made. realistically, they did a half-assed job so i'm only willing to pay a half-assed price.
  13. great review jenius, looks like i'm sticking to my original plan and not buying this. i know you gave it a somewhat decent review but for $300, i expect more than decent. i'll see whats up with the toynami one if that ever comes out(and isn't a total POS), otherwise i'm hoping yamato or some other somewhat better than average company picks up the license.
  14. their work is second to none but its actually cheaper to paint your car.
  15. i know its just a prototype but i'm not feeling the glossy look its got going. mines been paid for since feb., i hope they come in soon.

    Thunder Hammer

there must be something wrong with me cause i'm getting a woody just looking at this thing.
  17. my guess would be NB4M but hes got a kid and a slew of other projects hes working on so i don't know? personally, i don't care how long it takes for this to become a reality as long as it eventually becomes a reality.
  18. its looks retarded when its linked together. you do not not pass go, you do not collect $200!
  19. depends on what they're using for the molds but its typically 50 per run.
  20. my idea was to put a magnet inside the engine and another one inside the back of the torso for a sturdier armor mode. the torso and pelvis is the part i would need to get into for my idea to work but even then, the main engine assembly is glued together. i like this toy, i just don't like how flimsy it feels when its in armor mode. i gotta figure out something to make it better or i'm going to end up selling them.
  21. so i was bored last night and took apart my ride armor. more or less i was trying to figure out how to make the armor mode tighter but it doesn't look like theres much i can do. this is what i took apart without prying or unscrewing. sorry for the crappy camera phone pics. heres everything disassembled engine disassembled engine and back of figure unfortunately, theres no way to disassemble the figure whatsoever. the whole thing seems like it glued together as well as the engine assembly where i thought i could squeeze in a magnet. theres some metal on each front of the shoulders(the white circle) of the figure but theres no way to get a magnet inside the headlight assembly which would've make that part stay down better in amor mode. so far it seems this project is a lost cause, all the parts are so small its nearly impossible to mod/tweak it out. if anyone has any idea/suggestions, please post.
  22. i'm psyched on my MH ones but the beagle looks great. i'm pretty much sold on anything that isn't another VF-1, i'm easy prey.
  23. i wish the MH ride armor were screwed together instead of glued together. if it were screwed, i know could open it up and work some magnet magic to make it more sturdy in armor mode. the cod piece on the bike and the crotch on the figure would be good spot to attach some magnets. another good spot would be inside the engine and the back of the figure. i'm not ready to start dismantling anything just yet(its too new to mess with) but i'm sure i'll get to it eventually. i'll have to open up those areas and see what i'm working with and order the proper size magnets.
  24. its not the headlight but rather how the headlight assembly locks(or how it doesn't lock) into place in armor mode. theres a lot of parts swapping but i'm totally picking up the other figs when they come out. no decals for rey sucks but you get the saddlebags, you don't get the saddle bags with stick but he comes tampo printed to death. it looks like they're evenomg out the costs for the "bonus" for each release, i wonder how they're going to do the other releases?
  25. got my MH ride armors yesterday and i'm stoked! while they're a bit flimsy and parts were falling off(better than breaking off) during the transformation process, these are pretty frickin cool. my gripes are the stupid purple visor on the helmet(someone please cast these in blue) and the headlight part not locking in correct in armor mode. i know theres a little nub there and you can sort of make it lock into place but its off by a milimeter or so. its kind of lame that it can't stand on its own and it doesn't help that the stand itself is pretty useless. whatever the case they were totally worth the money IMO.
