  1. 1:1 Scale with armor. The fanboy dream special edition. Comes complete with Minmay Real Doll.
  2. Taric, What kind of budget are you on? If you are looking for a Valkyrie that you can put up as a display, then you really should look at Yamato. They have decent detail, and have above average durability. The 1/48th scale editions have excellent detail and above average durability. You also need to get a bank loan to get one I'm not too familiar with Takatoku or Bandai. The closest I can remember having to them was a Transformer toy called Jetfire. If you want a toy that you can rough around with, go for one of those. They are relatively affordable, and the quality isn't too shabby. hope it helps...
  3. From what I remember back in the days of VHS (the early 90's...God I am old) Manga had a pretty fast turnaround time. It was on the order of a few months to a year tops. I was suprised at how fast Volume 4 came out after the Japanese version.
  4. Zippy chance on the dub for now. I've seen some posts on this forum talking about the liscensing issue still screwing with general domestic release. If it is released here, they damn well better use the Japanese DVD art. Nice one Anubis! Although you have to wonder. Nora found Shin pretty fast. She must really want him bad.
  5. I'm seriously considering the Millia Valk in 1/48th scale. I'm also considering getting a mortgage and a bank loan to get it. Ahh Yamato....why do you hate my wallet so?
  6. I will say this. I really like the design of that site. Nora. Yeah. She's a flasher. Has to be.
  7. Yeah. Dealers really charge outrageous prices for those items. I never got into it because of that fact. Hmmm 'Evil Book Guy" and not liking dealer prices. No wonder I am not going to conventions anymore.
  8. Maybe their flamboyant color schemes will distract their enemies long enough to get an effective attack?
  9. Damn! I would buy that poster from someone too! Arrrrrgggghhhh!
  10. I've been trying to find that book for years. The only one I ever see is with "evil book guy" at the conventions I go to. He's selling it for some absurd price. Like $150.00
  11. I did notice that some of the designs were also similar to Macross 7 craft.
  12. I agree. I don't really think we will ever know much about the Megaroad ships outside of conjecture, and relative lack of information. Ona personal not, I didn't like the design. I thought the old Macross had/has more class.
  13. wow! I started a topic that has gone 6 pages! I feel awesome!
  14. I would like to see a VF-4 and a Macross toy built. I would probably stop after those were available.

    yamato sdf-1?

Screw Earth Orbit. I say we check out and see what's happening over in the next Star System. Maybe there's a good party?

    yamato sdf-1?

I just realized the Kakizaki mentioned selling all our posessions and moving into a 1/48th scale Macross. I'd do it if it were a 1/1 scale. I get dibs on the Captain's room!

    yamato sdf-1?

I could do with about a 1/650 scale. It has to be the DYRL version though. I don't know why, but I like that one alot better. It looks more mean.
  18. I'll be picking this up at Otacon. Excelletn!
  19. I think it is a plausible explanation that (after seeing the prototype pics from whatever convention it was shown at), Yamato may very well have decided to either halt production or, as some have stated, work on other projects. Let's face it. That thing will not be cheap when it comes out. Furthermore, think of the import cost on that item. It's not going to be small. Yamato probably isn't prepared to take a hit on selling it.
  20. In response to JsArclight: I am 26, and just started back to finish school (2 years tops thank God). I made my mistakes in not looking forward and just buying indiscriminintly. If anything, the pricing for this market has made me more aware of the things you mentioned in your post. Demand drives the cost, and if I want to continue with it, then I need to get that Degree and a real job, doing what I wanted to do. BTW Congrats on the engagement!
  21. Well if you did, they would be all the $$
  22. To Kakizaki: You need to do more Valkyrie related comics like that set you posted. That was freaking hilarious. Anubis: You had a posterin the background of one of your pictures. It was a fantasy print or something. Where did you get that? It looked sweet!
  23. I think it really depends on how willing you are to spend the dough. I've bought a few 1/60s in the last couple years, but I tend to shop around alot before I consider buying one. I will say that noone is saying you have to buy all of them. Pick your favorite and go with that. I like the Fast Pack units personally. I still have not bought the Super Valkyrie however, mainly because I cannot find the Millia paint scheme. I generally do my purchasing at conventions, mostly because I hate E-Bay with a passion that is rarely unrivaled, and 9 times out of 10 the item is from the same guy in HK charging an obscene shipping cost. It generally offsets the lower price point. Bottom line; decide which one you want and go with that. You don't need all of them.
