  1. Those Yukazie(sp?) aircraft are ugly, who designed those? They look like they would crumple in combat, and that huge ventral rudder, what's up with that? The second one is better, but while the model looks ok, the anime picture doesn't look very good.
  2. Said the guy with the name of F14Tomcat and an Avatar of an F-22
  3. No not the trainer thread again! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Next it will be about the VF-0B. HELP MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. I thought they were Vic class ships too.

    Yamato 1/48 GBP Pic

Does th GBP have extra sensors? Because the visibility of the GBP sucks.
  6. I'll concede that, but there is still a huge supply problem.
  7. Where are you planning on the navy getting them? Lot's of parts are designed to wear out, once the wharehouses are empty and there are no more aircraft to connibilize you're screwed. Besides what' the point of having 2 or 3 squadrons of F-14s floating around as bomb trucks when nearly everything on the deck can pull air to mud duty.
  8. Another thread made me wonder this. I've seen F-14A's F-14B's and F-14D's, but is there an F-14C and what is it?
  9. Just got the sim, can anyone tell me where I can find some of the mods I keep hearing about? Anybody interested in some online combat?
  10. Since I also love TIE Fighter the most, I'll trust your review. So is Battlefront worth the money, or should I wait until it drops to Greatest Hits $19.99? Target has it on sale for $39.77, but I'm not too sure if it's worth the dough considering MGS3 is coming out on Friday. So many darn games... Back on topic, how is the music of AC5? I loved AC4's music, but when I heard they licensed some rock band's music for AC5, I get a bad vibe... Well, the thing is, Battlefront is immensely fun and easy to play... for about a day or two. With no story or campaign mode, there's not a ton to do in single-player. And once you're done, you're basically done. Multiplayer is still fun, but there are just other games out there that are more fun multiplayer, depending on your system of choice. Target's price isn't bad if you really want it now... but if you can wait, it'll definately drop in price eventually. I remember the music in Ace Combat 5 as being similar to Ace Combat 4... it's good, it suits the series, but it didn't really stand out. As for Puddle of Mud, you only hear them twice. Once is in the intro movie, which is easily skipable. The other is in a cutscene, but it's appropriate, since Chopper was supposed to be listening to rock music anyway. PC has a campaign mode. The game itself is enjoyable, definatly BF:1942 meets Starwars, but I hate the online play on PC. Once you get in the game it's fun, but the interface to find a server is horrible, nearly every server kick you after every round (I thought it was just me, but others have said the same thing) in some cases the patches make things worse. The interface for the finding servers never has the ping right and often doesn't even have the right amount of players listed. Horrible lag in most games. These are all PC problems Xbox or PS2 might be better. Simply: Gameplay is good and pretty Multiplayer interface is bad
  11. It's a video game...relax. Relax? You guys have been hyping this stupid game for months and it turn's out to be a freaking disappointment. Never again will I waste money because of you "experts" I could have bought Halo2, Transformers, or Star Wars III for that $45 bucks. Dude......................YOU CAN RENT IT BEFORE YOU BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And do you really think the Reveng of the Sith game is going to be that good? Did you play the Episode I game (I'll admit however that I enjoyed the Starfighter games for PS2. Wait...are those arcade style?!?!?!) Have you played Battlefront? I was hyped I thought it was going to be incredible, there is so much wrong with the server browser alone! Please LA don't screw up Cammondo. I also enjoy simulators, but I'm open minded enough to enjoy arcade style flight games too.
  12. Wings over Vietnam. Opinions? Reviews?
  13. The Old Republic seems to have wuite a bit in common (at least form a visual perspective, too me) with the Roman Republic, turning into the Roman Empire. The difference here is that in Star Wars the Empire is inherently eveil due to the idea/doctrine of rule by fear.
  14. Anybody else notice in the multiplayer demo, that you'll pull the "trigger" but the gun doesn't fire immidiatly, there's a pause before firing.
  15. Rented it loved it, but barley got to play the last mission, what happens at the end?

    UNS Wings

Try these for inspiration (much better than any pair of lead Army or Air Force Wings)
  17. There were "flying Sergents" in WWII. In the naval services there were non-commissioned officers that were pilots, post war most were given commissions making all aviators officers. The Army uses Warrant Officers as pilots as well as commissioned officers. Modern Japan uses officers for pilots. Both the Soviet Union and U.S. only used officers as pilots, so any country that was trained by one of the superpowers uses officers for pilots.
  18. Can somebody with the joystick give us a review of the josytick vs. the pad in game play?
  19. Sounds as if they want you to put together strike packages more than just playing the game.
  20. EA-6 or EA-18 (not being in service yet it's hard to decide) I do know that the EA-18 is using a lot of the same pods as the EA-6 (most are to be updated in the next few years) and the Avionics on the EA-18 blow everything else outta the water, plus good low level all weather capabilities, a smaller crew that can do the same job, a faster more manuvarable aircraft, and the ability to actually defend yourself if need be.
  21. Spolier Question: From what you've read in the stategy guide are there specific missions for the Hawk (like trainer missions) and the jammer aircraft?
