they are bigger, because they are supposed to be bigger. The 1/60 yf-19 and vf-0 are roughly the same size as 1/48 vf-1

heh, I love looking at the line up and seeing how the 1/48 pwns all. I sold off my 1/60 vf-1s after buying my 1/48.. it just didn't seem worth it anymore.

meh, GitS has very easy to spot CGI work, and I rarely hear people complain about it. Those that do, frankly, are usually the people that have to find somthing to complain about it. Even shows like Naruto have a fair amount of CGI work in the backgrounds and there too, I don't hear people complaining. Honestly, I think it's just hard for some people to accept change and that the visual style of anime has changed and will continue to change. Appleseed might not be the best looking representative of CGI animation but efforts like Appleseed need to take place in order for the medium to mature and develop.

is there somthing specific you have to do for the Lee R Wilson Memorial achievement? I've had two ranked team slayer games where I got at least 5 stickies yet no achievement. Does it have to be lonewolves? Plasma? Can't die during the 5 sticks?

what if this fleet isn't made up of the best and newest, but launched behind an advance fleet? It's focused more on habitats and on civilian needs along with military academies. so it doesn't get the newest ships, they make do with older and surplus designs seeing as the commanders figure that the advance fleet ahead should be able to deal with any enemy encounters.

well, to be fair, there is only 1 scheme shown in mac+ for the yf-19. And we are getting the 25th anniversary, though your mileage may vary on that one.

the halves of the vf-25 don't seperate. if you watch or carefully or examine the screen shots, there are rails on either side that keep the upper body connected to the lower body. and your dates are off, MF seems to take place 2070, which would make it less than 30 years after m7

finally got around to watching last week's episode... God, the claire storyline really sucks. I know she's the IT girl of the moment and all, but making her the central character AGAIN is just boring as hell. And having claire choose scary stalker BF over her family just makes her look really dumb.

yeah, it does. If you look the 25 is pretty much an amalgamation of every major valkyrie design since the VF-1. the fuselage resembles the sv-51, the canopy and wings are from the Vf-1, the feet look like the yf-21, the transformation sequence of the torso resembles the yf-19, the head resembles the vf-5000, on and on, there's references all over the design to previous valks.
