  1. James Cameron has said he's had ZERO input on Salvation and that the story of McG asking his blessing is a lie, a load of crock to get the terminator fanboys onboard: http://www.slashfilm.com/2008/09/29/james-...cg-says-he-did/
  2. I don't think bioware would have done this with Lucasarts unless they had at least equal say. SW:G is widely regarded as a failure... if not an outright joke, an example of how to drive a game into the ground... while Bioware is widely regarded as the one of the, if not THE, finest western RPG studios around. If lucasarts had even half a brain cell left they would back the hell off and let bioware handle it and just support them story and art.
  3. The 25th anniversary yf-19 fixes everything except for the gaps in the shoulder in fighter mode and the gaps between the fuselage and the leg/intakes in fighter mode. And the non locking chest in battroid and gerwalk, whether or not that's an actual flaw or a design choice is up to you.
  4. oh man, it sounds awesome. I love the idea of an actual storyline
  5. For a while sure. But most instances take loner than what I can devote in a block and forget about raids or group activities. Not worth paying 15 bucks or whatever a month just to wander around on my own and kill a few pigs.
  6. I completely agree with you. I would love to play this game, but I just can't devote a solid, uninterrupted block of hours every night to a game. I wanna be able to pick it up and play for a half an hour, an hour, whatever and have fun.
  7. that is a great custom head. Can't wait to see the full conversion!
  8. a 1/1250 Quarter would be awesome! It'd be around 30cm long which is roughly the size of a PG gundam (height) or the length of a 1/60 yamato valkyrie in fightermode. At that size Bandai would be able to work in tons of detailing. Little movable turrets, maybe even little tiny valks and destroids to place. a 1/3000 Quarter would be 13cm long... which is shorter than a pencil.
  9. But you would need a reason to do something like that, I know, what if the dorky goofie character who was actually the most powerful of them all with a secret family heritage and an undiscovered destiny that will eventually make him the most admired person in his school/town by piloting the impossibly strong, nigh-invulnerable super robot that was built by his grandfather lost his memory in a storm and washed up on some tropical island filled with natives who seemed antagonistic at first but turn out to be kind and teach him an even more powerful version of the ninja piloting arts that he already knows and that while learning these secret ninja arts that are taught at a highschool, he slowly regains his memories and we the viewers get to find out what he was doing out at sea in a storm and how it was he happened to wash up on a tropical island filled natives who seem antagonistic but turn out to be kind and that just also happens to be the home and secret underground laboratory of his grandfather who has been building the impossibly strong, nigh-invulnerable super robot just for him!
  10. I would buy one, I would want it larger than the WAVE though.
  11. And there should be some sort of twist... like if the mysterious kindly ruler who invented a mysterious energy source was actually a mysterious evil ruler and the mysterious energy source was actually an evil mysterious energy source.
  12. hmmm, maybe if it was an impossibly strong, nigh-invulnerable super robot that can't be piloted by professional soldiers but can only be piloted by the seemingly dorky goofie character who is actually the most powerful of them all with a secret family heritage and an undiscovered destiny that will eventually make him the most admired person in his school/town.
  13. Yeah, something new... like if they went to a ninja highschool... and maybe if the dorky goofie character was actually the most powerful of them all with a secret family heritage and an undiscovered destiny that will eventually make him the most admired person in his school/town.
  14. gods above, the High school/romance/magical cat-girl/bowling/comedy is sooo overplayed.
  15. i think it's meant to be in transition. And there's lots of scenes where the legs are flush with the shield in the show... and also every example of lineart that's been published shows it flush.
  16. you all talked me into it. I was pretty frustrated by the camera but I'm on my second run and having a blast. tossing stormies out of windows was never so much fun.
  17. oh sweet, I have my doubts about Bandai and valks but big transforming capital ships? I'm thinking awesome.
  18. sorry to hear it, my dog died while I was away at college and my dad had to be there to hold her while the vet put her down; she had heart failure and was in a lot of pain. Hopefully your pal pulls through.
  19. yeah, for fall of 2009. Trailer available for download: http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?ty...ink=ournextgame
  20. ouch, tekken on the 360... I never would have thought this day would come.
  21. It must be difficult not being able to tell the difference between someone disagreeing with you and a personal attack. See, my thinking the DX is fugly is me disagreeing with whoever. Them coming back and calling me a yamato fanboy, saying I have no idea what I'm talking about, rolling their eyes at me, or in the case of video games, telling to STFU because I haven't played all X number of previous games, that's a personal attack. Point of fact, I have been apologetic about the design, I've posted previously and on numerous occasions my pet theories on why the chunky design: because of the materials (metal) and to support the weight of the FAST PACKS and armor, something the 1/48 can barely do. I've also made apologetic remarks concerning the leg placement in fighter mode as well as the reason for the truncated castor wheel gears. I've said these things and then i've explained that I'm primarily interested in looks and accuracy and thus my reason for not liking this design. All of which have been ignored by some people when they want to take pot shots at me. Have I made snide and sarcastic remarks? Sure, usually in response to someone else who comes in with their own snarky sarcastic comment. In plenty of cases, such as my conversation with miriya a few pages back. He asked me if I was "trippin" (good naturedly) and I explained my reasons and we came to an agreement and we moved on. It's when people start attacking me, calling me a fanboy or saying that I'm a toy plebe or what not that I return the favor in kind. Have I jumped the gun on someone? Yes, and when I get called on it, I've apologized to them both in private and publicly. If you want to continue this, please send me a PM. But this jumping in every few months to take pot shot at me? That's just weak-sauce.
  22. I tend to agree with you, but there's a difference between old money mentality and new money mentality. I think low viz is better describing the new money mindset where it's all about immediate gratification and showing off their wealth.
  23. I tend not to buy multiples anymore. thankfully we're in a position where our income isn't really dependent on the market.
  24. And I stand by that. I'm handy with tools and I can swap parts, glue and in a pinch even do some minor modifications and fabrication. What I can't do is fix a broken transformation system, hide bulky external hinges and reposition limbs and joints to their proper locations. And again, missing the point. My post was a direct rebuttal to Nani's claim that I'm some sort of die hard yammie-fanboy who's just harping on the DX because it wasn't made by one and only true love.
  25. MacrossJunkie, Thanks for that confirmation. I was worried that the stickers would be yamato's usual but I'm relieved to hear that they're of good quality.
