  1. I didn't realize that easter island thingy meant so much to you! Well, I'm considering hunting down that Korean DVD and seeing if it's of comparable quality to the Bandai Region 2 DVD (but perhaps without the interlacing issues). If so, I'll be getting back into subtitling (etc.) for a bit and will consider adding that pre-title screen.
  2. No I don't. But I am not the ultimate arbiter of such things. I'd suggest that everyone look upon this as an ill-fated attempt at humor. We could get all hyped up about this, and scream bloody murder, but in the end, it was just a topic description change (to a somewhat un-PC version). . . and as soon as someone pointed it out, it was changed back. I'd understand a "torches and pitchforks" attitude if it were not changed back, or the complaint was responded to harshly. But as I see it, a staff member attempted to make a little fun of something, and it probably wasn't the best idea, and was remedied. Can we please not make a big deal about this?
  3. A moderator has changed it back. I'm not at liberty to say who made the original change. But I will say that it wasn't me.

  5. Your wish is my command. You should now notice an RSS icon at the bottom of the page. It's a feed of the 30 newest postings on MW. The cache updates every five minutes.
  6. Okey doke. This is when I'm glad that I pepper my posts with "could be wrong, though." Odd that the "cyper squatter"-type placeholder page is there though.
  7. Via some nslookups and some whoising, here's what it looks like to me. But I could be interpreting things wrong! It looks like the domain name for the .com domain lapsed. And someone grabbed it: Registrar: ENOM, INC. Domain Name: ANIMEPUNCH.COM Registrar: ENOM, INC. Updated Date: 27-mar-2007 Creation Date: 26-mar-2004 Expiration Date: 26-mar-2008 So, judging by the expiration date (a year from yesterday), someone probably (re)registered ANIMEPUNCH.COM yesterday. .Net is still the same as it ever was. Domain Name: ANIMEPUNCH.NET Registrar: TUCOWS INC. Whois Server: whois.opensrs.net Referral URL: http://domainhelp.tucows.com Name Server: NS1.BLUEHOST.COM Name Server: NS2.BLUEHOST.COM Status: clientTransferProhibited Status: clientUpdateProhibited Updated Date: 28-mar-2007 Creation Date: 18-may-2004 Expiration Date: 18-may-2007 So, unless this was intentional on the part of the AP guys, or it's actually them just using a new registrar that accidentally messed up their DNS, it looks like someone swooped in and took .COM away from them. Again, could be wrong. H
  8. Please be aware that if the DNS for .com is hijacked, and you input your credentials to log in at the .net forum. . . . but a non-relative link shunts you back to .com, your credentials could be intercepted by the .com "squatter/hijacker." Of course, I could be wrong and this may not be a DNS hijack situation or anything nefarious. And, if your animepunch username and password aren't the same as your credentials for any other site, then damage would be negligable/minimal. But, why not wait a little bit until we know more.
  9. Did they just decide not to renew the .com domain? I'm seeing one of those "cyber squatter" generic search pages now resident at animepunch.com. I suppose it could be a DNS hijack. Or perhaps a lapsed registration that someone gobbled up?
  10. On Firefox (at least), you need to delete your old bookmark, delete your cache, close all browsers, then recreate from scratch. Same thing for IE. Though, I thought bookmark images only started working for IE with IE7. Could be wrong though. I've been on Firefox too long. H
  11. Some level of "halo" is inevitable when you're working with only 16x16 pixels. That greyish "halo" makes it look better on 95% of people's computers. If it were totally removed and made truly transparent, it would be a lot more "jaggy." But, if anyone wants to try it, I'll put that up too. I actually was just thinking that this one matches MN's forum color scheme better than it does MW. Maybe we should swap.
  12. PERFECT! Thank you! H Edit: Remember to delete all old bookmarks/quicklinks and clear browser cache to see the new version.
  13. Looks like the color set to transparency has a few pixels within the kite itself. If anyone has a browser with a dark background, it'll really look odd. Edit: Sorry to just keep nit-picking. But when I'm not able to do this work myself (computer is on the fritz. Bad motherboard). . . all I can do is give you fine folks a hard time.
  14. Well, tried that one. But it's not transparent. So, now you guys are probably starting to understand why it took me hours to get this right on Macross Nexus.
  15. Well, we finally broke down and added a fully "off-topic" forum. So, anyone who wants to vent can head on over there. Though pr0n and politics are still not allowed. H
  16. It's nice. But it isn't really scaling correctly when it's actually in the favorites list or in the address bar. The left side sorta collapses. H
  17. The code of the index.html page would need to be changed for it to work outside the forums. We'll get to that eventually.
  18. Did you create this red and white one yourself? If so, I'll use this one instead. Though it does have some bleeding around its transparency area that might look odd for people who don't have near-white backgrounds on their browsers (if they've customized the colors). (sorry for the three rapid-fire posts)
  19. Now that I look at it in its fully shrunken state on my quicklink bar, perhaps the shadow effect is obscuring the lower kite a bit. But, it'll do until one of you wants to tweak it.
  20. I went with this one. It's now uploaded. But you'll probably have to clear your cache and/or recreate your bookmarks/quicklinks to see the change. I hadn't visited here via IE since I last formatted my drive. And it's showing up in IE for me. Thanks for the contribution!
  21. That's one of those things that I've always considered, and I made sure Macross Nexus had one before launching . Having said that, it's really difficult to get the kite to look right at that size (18x18 I think). I musta spent hours on it! (MM said I was obsessed) I believe that if someone wants to whip one up and put it in ICO format, I can upload it to where it will be active. I'd try myself, but it'd just end up looking exactly like the Macross Nexus one!
  22. With all due respect towards those who take issue with the "no nudity" rule on MW. . . exactly what part of discussing Macross requires you to show boobies and penises? And, if you really need to discuss breasts and penises aside from Macross, might I suggest that there are plenty of places elsewhere on the internet where such discussion is embraced. Now, if you'll excuse me, as part of my regular regimen of exquisite self-reflection and improvement, I'm currently in the process of adopting the Dutch "mentality" when it comes to free expression and forum moderation. I have explored the Japanese, American, and Zulu mentality, but Dutch is just far superior. H Edit: Oh, and also what Roy said.
  23. I'm too lazy to look up the sizes now. But if my old RT knowledge applies to the Macross ship sizes, I believe the Macross is tiny compared to a Zentraedi flagship. It's like 1/10 or 1/20 the size.
  24. I'm at work right now and can't look at mine. But I'm almost certain mine was B&W.
  25. Mowe, Shame on you. Your SDF-1 is cheating and trying to look taller than it is! Those main gun booms haven't been pushed back and down as they should be!
