  1. Never really cared for them. The only Korean rap group I really listened to was Jinusean. To be fair, though, I don't listen to any rap in English...
  2. " " - Plump DJs "Immortal" - Sasha "Unsung Hero" - Elite Force Edited to add links. Sorry, Elite Force doesn't get one.
  3. Which is fine. I agree; just because it's a dumb summer movie doesn't mean you have to like it, or that you're expecting too much from it or taking it the wrong way. It just means you don't like it. On another note, what's up with the poll? I voted in the original way back when, so I automatically can't vote in the two new ones?
  4. And that's fine. I'm not trying to change your mind. I'm just saying that "dumb summer movie" might not work for you, but it is apparently working for others, myself included. It seems to me, at times, that this thread seems like more of a heated debate than it actually is. People are coming in here and saying why they did or didn't like the movie. I think it's important to step back and remember that that's all most of use are trying to do... offer an opinion, and offer the reasoning behind that opinion. I don't think anyone's actually coming here to change anyone else's minds, even though one "I hate it because..." post followed by one "I liked it because..." post appears to be debate.
  5. I can't believe I'm the only one who's voted for the death of Mudflap and Skids so far. I mean, sure, I'd love to see Unicron or Dinobots or some better writing, but the racist twins have got to go first. Maybe the rest of you are hoping they won't even be in the second one to kill?
  6. But it's not an all or nothing thing. From your example, we both enjoyed Hulk, Iron Man, and the Dark Knight. I enjoyed RotF, but you didn't. And you liked Hellboy II, but I didn't. Summer movies have some similarities, like action, a bit of comedic elements, and escapism. That doesn't mean you have to like them all to like any, any more than you have to like all anime or all video games.
  7. Why would I agree with you on that? Why would/should "most people"? To be clear, I'm with Chewie and the group who's position is summed up as, "despite the film's flaws, watching Revenge of the Fallen was an enjoyable experience for me." I'll go so far as to admit a chuckle when Jetfire farted his chute, and when Simmons found himself staring at Devestator's balls. But the movie did have its problems. That's not to say that the first one didn't, but I generally found them to be more irritating in RotF. The ones that specifically bothered me the most was the whole using the Allspark fragment to revive Jetfire to find the Matrix to resurrect Prime instead of using the shard to resurrect Prime, the brevity of a lot of the robots' screen time, and the super annoying racist twins. So to that end, I thought the first one was better.
  8. As I recall, he was never convicted. Yeah, Jackson was weird... is that why everyone is so quick to label him a child molester without looking at the evidence? Is it more believable to think that a man-child was getting on with little boys than to think that the boys and/or their parents weren't trying to extort some money out of a wealthy celebrity?
  9. It's going on my Netflix then.
  10. That's why Ace Combat 4 and 5 are both PlayStation 2 Greatest Hits, and why Ace Combat 6 is an Xbox 360 Platinum Hit... Is 400,000 people a niche market?
  11. I agree. Besides, no elephants = not a good Tony Jaa movie. Well, I guess I can't really say that, since I did like the first Ong Bak okay... but still, screw Ong Bak 3 (unless another huge white poacher throws a baby elephant in it), I want another Protector.
  12. I suppose I'll reserve my giddiness until a more reliable/official announcement.
  13. Oh, right. And the tree. Okay, Ong Bak was okay, but they really need to get cracking on The Protector 2.
  14. I haven't seen this one, but I loved the first Ong Bak. The timeless tale of a young boy, who beats the tar out of people for stealing his elephant... I mean, who doesn't relate to that?
  15. The low-end 9-series, maybe. I have an Antec P182 case, which is larger than most of my friends' mid-towers, and I had to remove the upper hard drive rack to accommodate my ridiculously long 9800GTX+. To the best of my knowledge, ATI's cards have been getting bigger (like nVIDIA's), but they still tend to be smaller than comparable GeForce cards. But is a P45 board necessary? Plenty of G41's, including MicroATX sizes, for under $100. Sure, it's got half the RAM limit, but I don't think you're going to put 8GB, let alone 16GB in it, any time soon. Southbridge is the ICH7 instead of the ICH10, but otherwise they're fairly similar. I think you're basically fine under a TB. Firmware and other issues for drives larger than a TB seems to be giving most manufacturers a 1-in-6 or so failure rate. That said, I've traditionally used Seagate and Western Digital drives, with a preference for Western Digital. The hard drive in the link is the hard drive I've got Windows installed on right now. When I did go for a TB drive, my first choice would have been the WD Caviar Black, but only the Greens seem to go on sale for under $100. Because of the firmware thing, I avoided Seagate and went with Hitachi. No problems so far.
  16. You may even be able to shave a little more off the mobo, case, and PSU, but I certainly can't fault this list.
  17. I guess the problem was on their end, not ours. Looks like it's working normally now.
  18. What AV are you using? Not that it's related, but I used AVG for years until I started to get a number of false positives. Speaking of trouble with sites, is anyone else having trouble getting to Kotaku? Firefox keeps giving me a blank page, and Opera is giving me one it cached from over a week ago. It's the only Gawker site that's giving me any trouble... Lifehacker and Gizmodo are coming up fine.
  19. Honestly, I never got what was so "legendary" about the David Lee Roth era. Until Hagar joined the band, Van Halen was never more than a band that wouldn't make the change the station at best, and certainly not a band I'd actively listen too. Maybe because the DLR stuff was a little harder? Van Hagar had better songs and a better singer. Well, at least we can all agree that Gary Cherone was better in Extreme.
  20. It seems like you just don't like new stuff... which is cool, I guess. Whatever floats your boat. The 90's was a very campy decade (and this is coming from someone watching "Saved By the Bell" because he's nostalgic for the 80's). The Fox Kids Spider-Man and X-Men series were both good, but both products of the decade. Modern cartoons seem to have funky animation, but I think at the very least the Spectacular Spider-Man is probably the best-written comic book cartoon to date. As for Batman, The Animated Series was great in the way it fleshed out some of Batman's lamer villains, as well as the way it took the 40's gothic look of Burton's first film and really gave Gotham some character of it's own. I really wound up enjoying The Batman, though, as a more modern take on the character.
  21. Were I in your shoes, I'd just buy one stick of 6400. I've got 3GB of Kingston Hyper X that runs at that speed (I forget the timing thought), and that rated a 5.9 out of 5.9 in Vista, and a 6.5 out of 7.9 in Windows 7. And frankly, that's never not been enough for me. Yeah, if I was running a 64-bit OS when I built this sucker, and yeah, if I did more heavy-duty multi-media editing, maybe, but most apps really don't know what to do with too much memory. It's like there's a point... up to that point, you get big boosts from more RAM, but beyond it, the cost/benefit ratio tapers off. With a 32 bit OS, as others have mentioned, Windows can't address it all. You're limited to about 4GB, but that includes your videocard's VRAM, which is probably half a gig. If you go the Win 7 route, you can always grab a 64 bit copy, but Windows 7 will probably run more efficiently than Vista in the first place.
  22. Hopefully this time it'll actually finish Frontier.
  23. No, I'm not really in the market for a tablet. I just think that a netbook-tablet could be a handy multi-function device.
  24. No Van Hagar = not a good Van Halen game. For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge was their best album. Waits patiently for Guitar Hero: Chickenfoot.
