  1. Was this a clearance or something (I'm assuming still at TRU)? You might not want him for $10, but I kinda do. When I get my car back from the shop, hopefully this week (apparently, since they stopped making my car 7 years ago, no one but Mitsubishi themselves supply parts for it ), I might have to swing by TRU on the way home.
  2. Isn't he the TRU exclusive repaint of Silverbolt? You found him for $10?
  3. I haven't decided yet. I mean, I do, but I just had to replace the exhaust on my car, so I have to see what my budget's going to be for the next week or so. I'll let you know. Whatever I decide, though, thanks. I do appreciate the offer.
  4. I've managed to find a Voyager Prime or two, and plenty of Leader Prime and Megatron. I've managed to find most of the Scouts and and Deluxes, save for Jolt, as well. For Voyagers there's Starscreams to be found, the odd Demolisher or Ratchet, but mostly Ironhides. No Voyager Megatrons. Never, not even one. As far as I know, none of the stores around here have ever stocked one. Haven't seen Longhaul, either.
  5. It's funny how I couldn't care less about the toys for characters in the movie, but I find myself agreeing that if they made a toy for one of the F/A-18 bots in the game, I'd totally buy it. I never looked at the concept art in the game (too busy trying to unlock everything to enjoy the unlocks, I guess) but I seem to recall the Autobots having some generic jet guys too...
  6. Oh. My bad. ...You thought JT would have made a better GL than Ryan Reynolds? I mean, I'm not saying that Reynolds is a good choice for Hal Jordan, but (and this is coming from someone who wishes JT would just permanently join the S&L cast already, because I like him as an actor better than a singer) when I think of Hal Jordan I definitely do NOT think Justin Timberlake. That's... well, I guess that's better than Ryan Reynolds...
  7. Ditto. Four if you count Kyle Rayner, and five if you count Alan Scott, though Jordan's still at the bottom. Ditto again. Jordan's the Green Lantern's powers on a stereotypical silver-age character.
  8. John Stewart > Hal Jordan. Maybe get Richard Jones to play him. I really liked him as James Ellison in the Sarah Connor Chronicles.
  9. I'm not sure if this one is true or speculation. I mean, the Xbox 360 enjoys a larger user base, so it makes sense to develop for it, but with the cost developing games what it is today, it makes more sense to go multi-platform. It's probable then that Microsoft might have left suitcases full of cash on some desks at Namco Bandai's offices. Things got a little sketchy here. Microsoft has been dumping or closing studios left and right. And they did indeed ax the Flight Simulator team... that is, the people who developed games like Microsoft Flight Simulator X. That studio is in no way related to Namco Bandai or Project Aces. I haven't heard of Microsoft buying Project Aces from Namco Bandai, and as far as I know Project Aces is still with Namco Bandai. I'm going to go with stupid rumor born from entirely unrelated fact. The magazine scans were confirmed fake. There has been no official announcement for either Ace Combat 7, or a PS3 version of Ace Combat 6.
  10. Final Fantasy, anyone? I'm sure there were some kids with N64's griping about Final Fantasy VII coming out for the original PlayStation. Really? Since I switched from AVG a little over a month ago I've had one solitary hit, and it wasn't a web page, but rather a zipped file I'd downloaded that happened to have an extra surprise inside. Do you have the scanner sensitivity set to normal or high? I left it on normal.
  11. I'm not saying there is or isn't viruses with regards to that link, since I didn't click it. But AVG has been going a little nuts with false positives lately, so that could be relevant. I actually dumped it and switched to Avast! myself.
  12. That's the one. And puny hands are better than a quartet of sticks.
  13. Silver Sharpie...?
  14. Anyone know what happened to the pics of that custom transformed Superion? Using the default instructions, the two non-A-10 limbs look terrible in either mode.
  15. Sure, Google's coming out with their Chrome OS, Intel's got their Moblin OS, Ubuntu has a special netbook variant. But in the long run, I don't see any of them catching on any better than Xandros did on netbooks. Despite Apple being one of the top notebook manufacturers (and despite the fact that everyone on TV seems to use them), OS X hasn't really taken a huge slice of the OS pie. The sad truth is that people want Windows.
  16. The black paint dried enough that I was able to transform Sideways. I like the Barricade aesthetic of the toy, but it definitely has a few issues: *Not a ton of resemblance to the character model. But hey, we could say that about almost all of the first movie's toys, and there's limits to what you can do with a Deluxe-class figure. *Missing or inverted paint. Aside from the very obvious black on the alt mode, three fingers on his left hand are modled in a bluish-gray plastic. All the rest of his fingers are silver, and the character model had silver fingers. He has some, but not all (or even most) of the silver detail on his face. His shins are modeled in the same bluish-gray plastic, with black flaps in front of them, which is the inverse of the character model. *Tiny fee. I have no idea why they made his feet so tiny. I'm pretty sure they could have made them bigger, or moved the ankle joint up a little. This makes him difficult to pose, or even to stand at all. *Red plastic. There's some red lights on the character model around the car's headlights and grill. Since it didn't seem like that was feasible for the toy, but Hasbro still wanted to evoke some of that red color, they molded a large amount of his pelvis, torso, and legs in red plastic. I'm all for slipping in a little red, to keep the aesthetic, but Hasbro went a little nuts here. I don't have a lot of skill for painting of customizing toys (the custom Thundercracker I made from Acid Storm is testament to that), but I figured I'd do at least a little work to Sideways. Basically, I painted the black onto the alt mode with a Testors enamel marker, then I used a silver Sharpie to touch up a little detail to his face, to color his fingers and some of the panels and details on his arms, and to color over most of the red plastic (I left some of it showing because I couldn't get the marker tip onto it, or because I wanted a little red detail). Here's a pic, but I'm not much better at photography than painting.
  17. The only Voyagers I've seen around here are Starscream, Ironhide, and Demolisher. Which sucks, because I kinda want Voyager Megatron.
  18. Just picked up Breakaway and Sideways. I haven't done anything with Sideways yet, because I want to paint the black back on him, but I played with Breakaway a little. He's pretty good... a little chunky underneath, but his robot parts hide well. My only complaint is that his colors are a little bright. Instead of being tan with dark green and brown camo, he's more like khaki with dark green and neon green. They used a blue-gray color for some of his silver, which is okay, but they also used a neon green plastic. I went over most of the green plastic with a silver sharpie... it helps.
  19. Well for giant robots that seemed nigh indestructible to the humans of the first movie, they seem to die quickly enough when fighting each other. And neither side seems all that concerned. Not just with comrades, but with enemies too. I mean, Prime and Sideswipe didn't even consider taking a prisoner and pumping them for info in Shanghai.
  20. Did anyone pick up Sideways? After watching the film and playing the video game tie-in, I'm starting to be a little more interested in some of the toys. I'm thinking Voyager Starscream and Breakaway, because I like the F-22 and F-35 and they seem like fairly reasonable facsimiles (as opposed to the original Voyager Starscream), and maybe Leader Prime and Voyager Megatron. But, of all the other toys, I'm kinda interested in Sideways. Partly because he's my Decepticon of choice so far in the game, partly because of his Barricade aesthetics (Barricade was probably my favorite Decepticon in the last movie), and partly because The R8's a pretty slick alt mode (even if they had to change it a little for the non-licensed toy). I'm a little turned off by all the red plastic, though.
  21. I do have to say that Voyager Megatron looks a lot better in your photos than any official images of him. I'm not sold on any RotF Transformers, but if I was going to get a Megatron from the line, this looks like the one.
  22. Movie image. I think the toy's shoulder is a little small, but I still think the arm itself is pretty spot on.
  23. Most of the Korean music I listened to, mostly during my college days, was more dance music. S#arp, Lee Jung Hyun, Clon, etc.
  24. Why not? It's movie accurate... one of the things that stuck out for me when I watched the film.
  25. Can I get a "It's about damn time!"? Seriously, I was hoping that they'd be shoveling out tons of DLC like they did for Pulse.
