Update : 1) scrubbed the paints off the wings and top fuselage. 2) painted wing (white) 3) painted cockpit trim & intakes (matt black - pic not updated for the intake) 4) painted outer calves (dark tan) 5) painted tan on the tailfins. Modified the paint-scheme a little bit since the bottom area will be rubbing against the backpack hinge. 6) found a 1A JM head on ebay! And just realized that my backpack is missing the two rear tabs. The break was so clean that it almost looks like nothing was broken. Oh well, doesnt affect the functionality and transformation.

Thanks for the kind words! Another update : A bit slow today. Had to accompany the wife for her Sunday's shopping till 8 PM! 1) Cleaned/brush/paint-stripped parts that were painted too thick yesterday. 2) Painted the dark tan on the 2-halves of the fuselage 3) Painted white parts. 4) Painted dark tan on the inner calves 5) Puttied right solder-damaged hand (not sure why the original owner did that), sanded and painted it white. Initially, the inner calves were supposed to have white trims around them (lineart accurate) but I decided to paint the whole innfer-face tan since I made a mess on the paintjob. Before painting dark tan on the calves, I taped the circumference with 3M painter's tape. However, it seems that the tan paint managed to seep through the tapes, leaving unclean looks on the white trims. Would really appreciate it if I could get some suggestions/pointers from MW guru's on how to get a clean white-trim on the outer calves. Hoping to stay as lineart-accurate as possible, especially on the outer calves colors. Parts donated by EXO and CrazyDude will prolly come in before next weekend, so my next update will be by next Sat/Sun. Cant wait to finish this up and big thanks to EXO and CrazyDude!

Freee! Ha i was about to ask that myself. Is this a listing error?

Just realized tat pine sol corrodes bronze. The metal rod connecting the inner thights shows pretty significant corrosion while the spring was completely dissolved in pine sol (lol). Luckily the landing gears age good, now looks shiny after corrosion took the outer layer.

Work In Progress... I made a noob mess when spraying white paint too close to the parts and ended up being too thick (Testor Modeling Spray Can : White Gloss). Luckily Ive gotten used to the spraying distance by the time I spray the dark tan parts (Testor Modelling Spray Can : Dark Tan). Now Im soaking the white-painted parts in pine sol and will wait till tomorrow to brush them all and repaint. Pictures as follows (sorry for the crappy celly pics) : Parts : Parts to be painted white : Parts to be painted dark tan : Progress so far : Wish me luck!

thats a sweet haul. were all those came from mandarake or YJ?
-
yeah, thats what I thought too. theyre like almost $200 nowadays. sheesh! bandai should reissue it with improvements and that 25A is good price. congrats to whoever got that!

been away from mandarake and saw this : http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1651680.html congrats to the person who got it

cheap as in $50-60 cheap. They have bunch of them on jungle
-
People seem to jump on them when theyre listed on mandarake. For me its a big gamble if they dont show at least a pic with the flap open, esp with the broken wings issue that some members here had experienced and the "As Is" condition theyre being listed...

since people are still talking about the new VF-25a super parts, might as well ask this was just wondering why are people ditching their Ozma's super parts in 2ndary market?. Prices have been pretty low for them, so was wondering why.. Is it because of the yellow markings? And if it is, has anyone successfully paint it over with other colors? Thanks!

Yea, now that you mention it, the shoulder/hand transformation on the 5000 does transform like a 19, but the wings/cockpit transformations are more like the 11
-
I see. Thanks for the info. I dont need it, was only wondering what it was.. EDITED : Okay I just looked up the 1/20,000 kit and it seems like theyre not the same. This one has a base (macross city) and the feet thrusters are also removable...

Its the other way round. cockpit painted

HLJ is showing low stock for the 19...maybe its a good sign for Arcadia to re-issue other variants? Pretty sure they will include the weapon packs to make more money... Also if they can release the weapon packs separately, pretty sure people would jump on them too since theyre backward compatible with the VF-1. Come on Arcadia! Make the announcement already!

Does anyone know who made the SDF-1/Macross city below? Found it online and thought it looks cool. Kinda like the mini Arcadia SDF-1

congrats on the Koenig. man, those 2 are good hauls!

After getting my 2 x VF-25A, I think Im done with Bandai Frontier line (even sold one back, MIB). That one I have will be the sole representative of the Frontier series. Maybe sometime in the future I'll pick up Ozma's 29 and thats about it. Cant see myself buying the 30...unless reviews / in-hand says its a fantastic toy. OK, I hate myself too. Cant wait to see the new show (and valks) !
