  1. Thank you NMB4 for your answers. I was almost convinced sometimes that the whole Macross franchise is merely kept afloat by the fans' passion and whatever figure they have in their pocket book. 15% cut of the total cost (not the selling price) it took to make the 1D line is not a lot to ask - even as a freelance fee - just to get the 1 D out to the market. And I asked those questions with the best intentions. Godspeed to your ventures man. I would buy your Yamato 1D provided that Yamato doesn't fvck it up.
  2. NMB4, 1) when you said credit, do you mean your name will be printed on the packaging or stamp molded on the valk toy itself, or both - kind of credit? 2) or does that credit also comes with the contractor/consultant fee? If by credit you meant you're only getting (1) and not (2), please tell Yamato to fvck off. Settle for nothing less than 15% cut for every valk that Yamato makes and sells of your version of the VF1D. Otherwise you're better off selling the kits to the fans to DIY or gain more by doing a full customization job on the 1/48 VF1D for fans without any skills. Big West, Yamato and the Macross fandom be damned.
  3. Yeah, wait for the damned thing to bear stearn. If not, you'd be thankful you saved that money for something else more interesting than having pointless repeats in your collection .
  4. Perhaps buying Yamato valks shouldn't be so scary as well... but what do I know.
  5. Maybe the general rule is that dummies pay more for everything than everybody else. But I draw the line when the expensive job is done by dummies. Say no to stuff made by dummies for dummies.
  6. Here's an idea for drinking & posing. Kids are recommended to try under adult supervision.
  7. To me, the language barrier isn't the problem. It's the seeing of the figures with fluids that don't belong and not run that's the problem.
  8. Doesn't matter so long as you pose responsibly.
  9. Actually, after playing with my brick-like (zero articulation) Yamato 1/48 VF with the GBP armor on, I hope that Yamato will never be given the Mac F license at all. I wished I had save that money and added more for an equally brick-like but vintage Bandai/Takatoku VF with the GBP set.
  10. Here is an idea why they don't mass produce this 1/48 Focker... it seems that the hands that weather them in China can do alot more - all Yamato need to do is keep ordering. But they can't or won't because they have reissued this Focker many times enough, so that almost every Macross fan, their dogs and fleas can have one. In short, Yamato lacked the balls to mass product it. It does make me wonder what makes this Focker special... um, just because it's "weathered"? LOL! the seams weren't even puttied & sanded. It's nothing but a lame-arsed attempt to push out another Focker like how Takara has reissued the many different Convoys - but Macross fanbase ain't anything like the Transformers fanbase.
  11. After seeing that Megatron and Optimus in action, I'd like to see Kaiyodo make the fraulein versions of Edison Chen and his girls. Think about it - the joint system is virtually limitless. When I grow up, I wanna be like uncle Edison! If I can't I'd still have my Edison revo figs to play with.
  12. To be honest, despite the ugly joints that you have pointed out, this particular version of Misa bore the most meat artilery fire from fanboys the world over. No other 1/6 doll exudes this much of sexual charge aside from Rei in bandages.
  13. Generally speaking, people who spent too long sitting in front of their computer would get up and relax for a while... I would take a walk outta my mind sometimes - sometimes, bad people take over and innocent peeps like you would bear the consequences. Thanks to wicked ace because you know me so well.
  14. Looking at the bright side, at least at 1/4 scale, Minmay fans can jizz all over her face and not miss so much. They can't used to do that with the smaller scales.
  15. It's okay to be scared. At least it's so much better than be scared sh1tless when Yamato decides to stop making them anymore.
  16. Nope, it's the licensing fees. Big West are nothing but a buncha greedy c0cksuckers. As for paying good money for Macross stuff, are we not doing that countless of times already?
  17. Off the bat I can tell you that the scale is unappealing. Why can't the make this 1/6 scale? If they did, the 12" figure communities would definately pay attention to it. The poseable joints if not made well to hold poses will be pointless. Well-made 12" figure pose well and aren't floppy - I wouldn't bet on quality with Yamato's half arse approach to manufacturing. At the current scale that Yamato is offering, it is only an uber expensive space-hogging plastic. In place of this Minmay figure I'd prefer jumbo vinyl giant robots: easier to clean and display - this Minmay will be anything but. On whether she completely blows away any other minmay doll or figure ever made, I think she's still behind the G-system's Minmay. Even the CMS Gashapon Minmays look better.
  18. No, but peace for the Transformers will never happen without them. If Michael Bay raped someone's childhood, what would they call this now? http://www18.big.or.jp/~m-kaz/nanan/images/kaku/586_38.jpg
  19. Bandai's Gunbuster design is their own. S.H.E's version doesn't have the transforming feet on top of its slightly different transformation vs Bandai. The company that "borrowed" the most from S.H.E. though, was Yamato.
  20. Bandai is good at mixing plastic and metal parts on transforming toys with little to no paint chip at all. This is because one part of the toy doesn't depend on another part to lock firm or snap shut tight during transformation from one mode to another. They always think the mechanics of the transformation through and through. What we usually get from Yamato is a lot of snaps, crackles and pops during transformation. We see a lot of plastic parts locking down hard on one another, putting plenty of pressure on one mode and when we free up the pressure in the next mode, you see stressmarks. Yamato gave us stressmarks in order to avoid paint chips. Color matching between metal and plastic parts isn't such a big deal because Bandai paints over the plastic parts in order to match with the metal parts. Yamato gave us raw colored plastic surfaces - that's why we get mismatched colors all the time. Also, unpainted colored plastics look cheap when placed side by side with painted over plastic. For once I would like a transforming Yamato toy that can be transformed without all the snaps, crackles and pops because not only does the toy sound and feel fragile, it gives the impression that the buggers that designed the toys are LAZY or worse, lazy retards that can never learn from so many past mistakes.
