Hollywood destroys more childhoods...somwhere...
bsu legato replied to capt.actionjackson's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I hate you!! I was happy living in my blissfull ignorance, right up till the point where you posted that. Patrick McGoohan is rolling over in his grave! Patrick McGoohan: "I'm not dead yet!" -
Paragraphs are your friends. Don't be afraid to use them.

The trailer made me tingly in my underpants. It's looking like Singer has nailed this one. Superman is now my #1 most anticipated movie for next summer.

William Shatner is an incredibly talented man.
bsu legato replied to JB0's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Did anyone catch that "How William Shatner invented the world" show on Discovery, last weekend? Not so much about Shatner inventing things, but more to do with scientists drawing inspiration from the various incarnations of Trek. Still, the guy makes a good host. -
I'm not sure if that's supposed to be a compliment or not. Now if he'd said "Commando" then you'd be golden.

Robotech and HG license debates
bsu legato replied to Roy Focker's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Why deny them when they can double dip (and dare I suggest triple-dip?) them? I think that the Macross ver 2.0 DVDs are proof enough of that. Can a dubbed version of Mospeada be far behind (and yes, a dub of SC for 1BRD trailing a distant third)? -
My groin is already cramping up in anticipation of whatever the season finale throws at us. You just know its going to be a whopper. Should we start taking bets? Baltar finally betrays the Galactica and defects to the toasters? [insert character here] is revealed to be a cylon? 1st successful human/cylon hybrid makes an appearance? Galactica encounters giant snowflake in space (an outside chance, I realize)?

You're the only Mac II fan on the planet... 345536 Dude! That's harsh!

There's no special trick, really. Most good gloss paints, acrylic or enamel, should give you a nice shiny finish like that. The hard part is applying it with a nice smooth finish, so you avoid runs, brushmarks or orange peel.

The day that films like Fast & the Furious are being remade, Hollywood will have officially eaten its own tail, vomited up the whole mess, and started consuming itself anew.

It would seem that they're taking the "shotgun" approach, and trying to hit each and every target demographic. But like A1 suggested, I'm concerned about how this will affect the continuity.

NO?! Spill the beans, man! Is it on the bonus disc?

The Wave kit looks (not surprisingly) a bit underwhelming in its unpainted state, but the finished prototype on HLJ looks spot-on perfect. I'll be getting two of them, one to kitbash a cockpit into.

Whoa...you've already seen Indy IV? Post some spoilers, man! I was under the impression that they hadn't filmed it yet.

Yes No Yes... The only solution is common sense. Most quoted posts have that little tiny button in the quote box called "snapback". Instead of quote after quote after quote, you could just quote the last individual and leave the snapback button in place. Again, the issue is common sense. This really isn't something we can enforce because it is a common sense issue. If you lack common sense, then perhaps you shouldn't be posting. This isn't a mod or admin issue. It's the users themselves who are abusing things. Posting large pics (i.e. greater than 1024x768 or 800x600, depending on your resolution); posting pics directly from other sites without attaching or hosting them yourself (i.e. bandwidth stealing); quoting large pieces of text with only a small reply, etc....Unless you want the mods to clamp down on this... 330703 Here is a perfect example. In my previous post, all I wanted to do was reply in regards to the one single sentence. In this, much more annoying reply, I quoted your entire post along with all of the quotes that you put in it only make a point about the same senetence. 330806 Its the best I can do with this thread. 344868 Try again, my son. 344899 This thread is about to become delicious. 345279 Good try, but I don't think that's your best. 345311 This thread hurts my eyes.

Your collection could definitely use more Southern Cross, A1. But then again, don't we all need more Southern Cross?- 80 replies

Waking up to hear that Eddie Guerrero had died was not what I'd had in mind for Monday morning. Definitetely a major blow to the WWE. We'll miss you, Eddie. -

Aquaman fans are certain to be thrilled by this news. All three of them. -
Oh really? I'll ask my buddy who's playing PoN to get me a screenshot of "Smithzilla."
-
We should start a poll on who's missed the most. The winner gets invited back to the forums, and if it happens to be somebody we hate so much the merrier. (personally I'd rather see somebody like Yoshi back here, rather than Panzer.)
