  1. I think priming is overrated, as far as models are concerned. I only use it: 1) under a gloss finish, like on a car body, so I can sand it to get a smooth finish. 2) when painting over certain color plastics, like white paint on red plastic 3) the odd time I build a resin kit, I usually throw down a coat of grey enamel or even automotive primer. Some resins hate model paints. 4) when making neato weather effects with an airbrush, although that's more of a "preshading" thing than primer.
  2. On Macross World? Please....we still have people wanting Yamato to make toys that look like the episodes animated by Anime Friend.
  3. I can run faster than that steriod-ridden, overmuscled jabroni. Anyway, I've always liked Al Snow, so at least this "angle" will get him some screen time. I'd imagine that General Manager Austin will have a word or two to say on the matter tonight.
  4. The other 305 are just socks for our various trolls to post under. <_<
  5. Yet perversely, Man-Faye likely gains strength from this. The more repulsed we are by his hairy legs and bloated abdomen, the better he feels about himself at the end of the day. I'd say we could ignore him and deprive him of his source of power, but that would just prompt him to do something even more outrageous and I'm not sure if my fragile psyche can take it these days.
  6. Any idea when we'll get some more info on the Macross Zero lineup, o Sithlord? Scales? Prototypes even?
  7. Actually, it wasn't too bad. It was certainly better than Summer Sham. That Shane-O Mac dive off the Titantron was mind numbing. Being a Shane-O Mac match, we knew he had to jump off of something, but it still surprised us to see him do something that reckless. And who can deny the satisfaction o seeing HHH drop the title, even if it's so he can recover from his injury and film Blade 3 (I assume so, anyway)? Is it just me, or did HHH look like he had a bit of a gut?
  8. Holy crap, those look awesome! Destroids....Gerwalk headlocks...VF-0's on an elevator (ok, that last one isn't exactly 'exciting' but it's still cool looking). And I liked this part... Mark your calenders, kids.
  9. But I think this is what Skull Leader and the others have been trying to say. The 1D nose just doesn't "slide" on. It has it's own unique chest plate. So now you've replaced the nose and the chest plate...what about the nose & chest mounting hardware? Are they compatible, or do you have to retrofit 1D hardware onto a 1J. And while we're at it, what about the 1J head and neck assemblies. Do they function with the 1D chest? I doubt it, since the 1D has no "notch" at the neckline. So now you're retrofitting some more hardware. And while we're at it, does this stuff simply bolt on, or is there cutting and welding involved? Now, does this still seem easier than just putting a quick 3 hour paint job onto a VF-1D? It's a big enough pain in the ass trying to interchange stuff on cars between different model years, I'd hate to imagine how much of a pain something as complex as a Valkyrie would be.
  10. If the Macross went to all the trouble of a huge wedding ceremony, an honor guard of Battroids for Max's flyby and endless hours of television coverage, not to mention the cheesy laser light show, why is it so difficult to beleive that they quickly repainted a VF-1D to Max's colors? It makes more sense than somehow retrofitting a back seat into a standard VF-1J.
  11. I'll wait for it to hit the cheap seats. And then I'll go on half-price Tuesday. $1.50 is a fair price to see this thing.
  12. Here you go, Abombz. These were snapped by a photographer for a bike magazine, of all things!
  13. Yes. I'll look for them when I get home, in about 45 minutes.

    Hello all....

What do any Hasegawa's retail for out there in Toronto, anyhow? I've only seen them at one place here in the 'Peg, and he wanted $50 for the fighter-mode Strike.

  16. Ohh...I see. To me, the first one looks, at most, to be the same age as Cushing. However, the second photo looks considerably younger, IMHO. I don't think these are the same makeup appliance, though. These could be two different tests, or similar makeup on two different actors. So based on that premise, who knows what the final version will look like?
  17. Well, the story is that these are supposedly pictures taken of a picture, so that may account for the "look" of them. Heck, they could still be elaborate photochop jobs. I'm not putting too much faith in any spy reports just yet. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

    Hello all....

Dangard's right. There's very little in the way of "deals" as far as us Canuck collectors are concerned. <_
  19. No sure what you mean there, JELEINEN. Here's the second "leaked" photo with another Cushing comparison.
  20. I just did a quick check of the mod database website, and the few SW mods I could find seemed to be MIA. <_< There was one or two mods directly based on the Jedi Knight games, which sounded more like what JsARC wanted. The problem is, that none of these mods will ever get any offical support from Valve, ID or whomever. Counterstrike and DoD were "new" ideas, but StarWars is jealously guarded by LFL.
  21. JsARC, it sounds like you want the SW mod for Battlefield1942....if it's ever completed. Other than the fact that it's running on the BF1942 engine, it looks pretty good. I think there were one or two other SW mods out there, but I don't know if any ever got finished. A Clone Wars mod for HL2 would rock, would it not?
  22. Not if I get my trusty Kar98 first. I'm almost tempted to pick this one up someday....and hunt Vostok down like the dog he is.
