  1. You can buy the Bandai action base . Which happen to look exactly like the base from the full burst set . Bandai Action Base
  2. Someone sculpted Mikuru firing her deathblow Mikurubeamu in battle waitress gear. Polygonia Mikuru
  3. For the second trailer they ripped the train sequence from Wong kar Wai's "2046". I just felt like posting this....for no particular reason.*troll*troll*troll* Gundam = Live action G-Saviour was enough real Gundam action, althought it was only a Sci-Fi Channel production.
  4. Sorry I thought you would search through the links from Hobby link Japan. HLJ MS Encyclopedia 2006 Mine still didn't arrive so can't tell you if the Advance of Zeta art is also in it. But the content should be the same as the"White Base"-HP scans from MS Encyclopedia 2003 + ~40p Gundam Seed/Destiny,MS Igloo lineart ,I guess.
  5. Final Fantasy Spirits Within and Green Street Hooligans(great movie). And I think also some A Sound Of Thunder.
  6. I sold my MS Encyclopedia a few days ago over Ebay because I ordered the 2k6 version. Media Works also released the linearts + more detailed background information about the mechas and the shows in smaller technical manuals known as Data collection. Tokyo pop managed to translate these in english. The pictures are the same like those in the MS Encyclopedia just a bit smaller. I got Book 2+3 they cover the one year war Gundam series, 8th MS team, War in the pocket, Stardust memory and Blue destiny. Only the price is a bit high for a 95 paged pocketbook. tokyo pop's dengeki Gundam technical manual I also ordered these two books G20 Rivival Side A G20 Rivival Side B The Rapport Deluxe Gundam Book are also very good lots of colour& b/w pictures on about 200+ pages for 1400~1800Yen. Don't know if they're still printed or sold. I only know there was a reprint of all books in 1999. If there's a 100% Newtype Turn ∀ Book #2 Than there must also be book#1
  7. Thanks ! 1,5L Coke = 0,9€ or a bottle 0,5L Johnson's Mr. Muscle for 3,49€ . Mmmmmh. Would be stupid if I use Mr. Muscle for chrome stripping again. I soacked a spreu from Polar lights Jupiter 2 kit and the left over leg parts from my chromed SDF-1 in Mr. Muscle for 2 days but nothing happend. Maybe german Mr. Muscle isn't strong enough. The only thing which worked well till now was Reckitt Benckiser's "Cillit Bang"(1L 5€). Jupiter 2's outher hull are Ø42cm. Lalalala...lala Always Coke Cola.
  8. I don't know how much experience you have with mormal modelkit modifications and small scratch builds. But from reading the first post I would guess not too much. Owning a Gunpla scratch build manual doesn't really help you at all with transformable models. I wouldn't recommend to build a variable kit if your still inexperienced. So reconsider if a solid build or parts exchange version wouldn't be better for you just to get known to material, tools and the time you'll need to get things done. Well at least to get started you should make sketches from the Star Crusader. Make some photocopies from the hasegawa instrucion manuals and use these for scribble. The best would be if you scale the copies to original parts/model size. It should make things easier for planning the transformation process. Depending on 1 picture and imagination sure isn't enough to build a variable kit. The most guys here build their scratch builds based on facts ,technical specifications, pictures from magazines, books and internet. Keep in mind that scratch builds are not done in a month or two if you never build one before. And also that you'll get bored of it as soon as you get unmotivated. We can't give you advice on how to use XYZ plastics or material if we don't know what you use or what you like to do specifically. Which parts do you intend to build from scratch or just remodel the existing sections. I guess there's always someone here who could help you out once you've started your project and post some pictures of progress. Sorry for having you read my bad english. It's not much of help for the beginning but at least something to start with. 1. Gather information about your prey. 2. Fix the parts with tape. Test fit and shape the right position for the parts. Make sketches from the parts which you like to improve. 3. Which parts can be replaced with option parts and kits or replacments from left over Mobile Suit kits. So best would be to raid your spare parts collection. If your still thinking about making the parts from scratch than Oh! How sure are you about the missing gerwalk mode ?
  9. Well if it works than it's still cheaper than a bottle cleaner. The cleaner Tuffskul recommended (Mr Muscle) didn't worked on the chromed Lost in space Jupiter 2. @Nomalbilll Nice to see another 1/8000 SDF-1 kit. The number of Valkyrie kits here is way too much.
  10. Still got too much to do so don't expect to start with it this year. My Hasegawa Valkyrie is waiting since 2003 to get finisched so maybe I sculp the canopy moulds in January. I will give you a short notice when it's done.
  11. I suck cause I still play Armored Core Formula Front. It has the best game control if played in A.I.Battle mode And besides Armored Core:FF it's Exit,Ridge Racers, the ultimate Wallpaper and MP3/4 changer game . Somehow a bit disappointing for a high-end handheld gaming set. I got Ace Combat X but left it at my brothers place in the Netherlands. At the moment he's raping it to the max. The controls and gameplay are examplary for good PSP software.
  12. Hurray !! Another crazy Green Demon modeler. Is that the new sculpted version of the WSC Jagd Mirage?
  13. While having a better look at that part I wrecked my canopy this morning. I tried to thinning the borders with a hobbyknife. Gave to much pressure on it while holding the part. And crack!!! Just great! Now it's my problem too. I would love to give my Hase Valk a new cockpit hatch but... The only problems are: A vacuum formed canopy wont have the sharp edges like a injection molded part. The same goes to fine carved details. Those have to be scribbed on .Or else you would see the differences between injection kit and self made parts. On the other hand I wouldn't say that the clear parts are too thick. Don't forget that Valkyries are also for space used. The Cockpit hatch has to be a bit thicker than conventional canopies. @David Hingtgen : I tried the same method with similar material few years ago for the M-Club Valkyries. And its not recommended for canopies with stick out borders like the Valyrie hatches. That's why I vacuum formed those.
  14. The PSP wallpaper thread is at the fanworks section. Link Macross PSP Wallpaper thread
  15. Oops! You're right. Just forgot about this one. Never an expected cartoon-goes-anime would end up so bad. Maybe this is Japans refund for Roland Emmerichs Godzilla.
  16. Wow! Another event only kit. THX Strange nobody came up wiht a Flipknight conversion kit yet.
  17. Gundam DX Renpu vs. Zeon was released in Europe (pal, engl, ital, esp, ger,fr) as Gundam Federation vs. Zeon. A third-person action game. More like a 3D beat em up with shooter elements. The Sunrise Battle series are strategic games .Don't know much about these. Gundam Seed , Gundam vs. Z Gundam are disguised Beat'em ups! Dragonball Z Budokai clone with Gundams. Gameplay is average. If you liked the Gundam battle assault series than you'll like these too. But don't expect these to be as fun as Virtual On.
  18. Phew, what a relief! So I wasn't the only one wasting downstream on this one. I managed to watch the whole 1st episode in double speed and was still able to push delete. After an active brainscan I rebootet my brains with only loss of 0.48% of braincells. This anime is way to heavy if your older than ...ergh BBC aproved Teletuby age(2~3). Some ppl in japan need to be shot in their knees.
  19. Aaaaaargh!!! How could you think of combining Gundam parts to a Mortar Headd. It's a crime nearly as heavy as writing the word Robotech here at this forums if the sentence doesn't contain the words hate or trash. But I love it. Looks really good and fresh. Makes me want to build a MH again. But I have to finish my half build models first. Still got a lot of them lying around. SWIII rep.Stardestroyer, 2Valks,several MS,Kerororobo...so much to do Did you withdraw the idea of the F-zero/Wipeout start diorama?
  20. After finishing Tactical Roar I'm somehow into futuristic naval models. The mechanical designs were the only highlight in this show. Story was lame and a bid like Vandread/Nadesico/or everything else Kenji Gotoh did Character designs for. Animation was average althought they used Yukikaze style CGI. Luckily it ended after 13 episodes with one of the worst endings I've ever seen. Maybe I'd epected too much after my reentery anime watching debut Suzumiya Haruhi. Or maybe I should have red this thread first than pick the goldies. I should keep in mind too refine an Arleigh Burke Flight IIA Cl. or Murasame Class ship into the queen of the 7 seas.
  21. The tooling was self-made. I didn't liked the shape of the actual canopy. So I decided to make one myself just to try vacu forming. I was tempted by the package. It says Thunderbird2 with virgil tracy. So I thought the fatbird would be the highlight. I have one of those toy-like Imai's. The red parts are made of PE and the cargo boxes have holes for wheels. Still have to put a lot of work into it untill it looks good. But I would rather build the new Bandai TB2 instead. This is the most accurate model ot TB2 i could find. How to build TB2
  22. Due to moving the communal wip thread into the hall of super topics. This shall be the continue of the xyz has decleared war on my bench thread. Well, at least we need another topic to show off messed up workspace. I've resume work on my M-Club recast VF-1S and VF-4G again .Hope to finish these soon. It's a 2inch Imai "Thunderbird 2" from Gerry Anderson's puppet show Thunderbirds. I got this "nice little kit" through Ebay.I couldn't find any pictures of these models on the www. So I bid on this whitout knowing what it looks like. And was very disappointed in the first. The kit include a micro Rescue machine Thunderbird 2 and something they called a Virgil Tracy figure. A base for the International Rescue machine. Don't know why Imai sold this as a TB2 kit but Virgil"blob"Tracy(3") is way bigger than the actual feature. But after some sceptism it turned out to a great model for improvements.
  23. Thunderbirds once were "Go". Now they're only 2...and their modelers.
  24. Than you should consider using the Mech Tech solution. It would help you saving mucho mucho $_$ . Or go for Pepakura buildings... Pepakura buildings just kidding.
