    1/144 VF-171

Like I already announced in the "what's lying on your workbench"- thread, the next update is in a separate thread. The base kit for this conversion is the Macross 7 VF-17D/S toy model from Bandai. For those who are to lazy to search on the main site for the actual product. Box art and its content needed to build the VF-171 The snapped model kit looks like this. What I want to build.
  5. This morning I noticed that the whole fuselage isn't nearly as what the VF-171 look like. At the moment I'm trying to correct the issues before gluing the two body halves together. It also easier to work on the air intakes if the main body parts are seperated I'll be able to make the changes regarding the nosecone and cockpit area afterwards. @HWR MKII Sorry I mistaken the Leo 1 for a 1/6 big scale tank. Didn't noticed the catalog size in the background. @Mechtech Just make sure you don't get yourself a Leopard 2A6 knockoff from HenLong. The motor cripples after a few minutes and the chassis is made of very brittle and thin ABS plastics. Can't even withstand a bump against a wall. Its 50$ for a hour of fun.
  6. It's the 1/144 scale Bandai kit. @HWRII This must be your 4th lawn mover if I remember correctly. I think you are possessed by Rheinstahl, the big German tank goddess. About time to call an exorcist.
  7. Reconnaissance VF-171 Maybe I should open a new thread by the next update. @Big F, the interior looks good. I skipped this one cause AMT released a better one which I never bought because it was overpriced. Therefore I bought a bunch of the newer smaller ETA-II Revell pocket kits. The details are really remarkable for the size. The cockpit in this kit is nearly as good as the 1/48 ones. Except for the big slit in the chair, Frankenstein Obi Wan/ Anakin and the missing control sticks. @PetarB Not a fan of the B-Wing but you did a really good job on this one. Is that the one Fantastic Plastics offers?
  8. Couldn't sleep without starting another 1/144 scale project. Just in case if you're curious. It'll be the one with a Tallgeese shield on top.
  9. The new TV Series is more than what I expected. Only 4 month and some days till air date. Don't know if I can survive this time. Thank you Macross Kami!!!
  10. WOW the recon VF-171 looks great. Thanks for the picture yellowlightman. I'm glad that I snatched a VF-17 kit few days ago at Evil Bay. *Bwahahaha*
  11. I scanned both instruction booklets. The one for Revell's Nebo and the Imai kit. ImaiOrguss.pdf.PDF RevellOrguss.pdf.PDF
  12. Sorry to hear that. Hope it was a bargain and really came with all the parts included. Did he included a picture about the item's condition? If not and you didn't asked for proof than it would be hard to get this settled with partial payment refund. I would have contacted the seller to tell him that he just received a negative feedback. I'll scan the Instructions for you tonight.
  13. The BJPM Gun Shell Rejin "Zero" (the non-scale transformable one) is 12cm tall / long according Model Graphix and Hobby Japan.
  14. I would go for the 1/40 scale Imai models. The Imai kits have white metal joints, better movability, missiles and are better transformable. Its also closer to the animation design. Therefor the Arii kits have a nice looking cockpit and the chest armor look better. The legs are square-edged. The plastics used for injection is very brittle and the joint covers and housings are very thin. They could break easily. Details, decals and panel lines on both kits are nearly the same. The Imai 1/40 Orguss Kei Special is also available from Revell. They named it "Nebo" and sold it as a 1/48 Robotech kit.
  15. Anyone tried to mess around with Sony's PTF converter yet?
  16. No?! If it were I would offer it in a separate thread. Sorry, should have written that I'm a selfish person I will only mill a few bases. At the moment I don't have plans for making a mold out of it.
  17. Maybe someone remembers the thread about the Macross bases that are being produced by Model Base Guy. There's a nice base design I like very much and wanted to do for a few Valks or Macross related kits. E Indigo's base design I can drop this one from my list of things to do now. Well, it's time I finish those Hasegawa replacement canopies
  18. Good to see someone build his Dragon II kit. Very nice model although it has a vintage look. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
  19. Sweeeeet! Definitely one of the best looking RC plane on the planet.
  20. Never heard of a movie called Office Space.
  21. You still haven't painted them yet? I mean after 2 month you could have painted them any color you like.
  22. Wow! Very nice models have gathered around these days. @Honneamise. Matsumoto Castle looks great. Almost like from postcards. What's so special about Initech mugs ? I don't think it is more interesting than everything else in the room.
  23. The Falke looks great, although it took me some time to get used to the strange camouflage. OMG!!! Did you killed the kitty? http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n223/TS.../Wyvern/X03.jpg
