  1. Yeah, I remember that. If he got too hot, he turned into a car. If he got too cold, he changed back. Nine times out of 10, they used water. Deffinately a strange show. I loved it, when I was little. That may explain some things, now.
  2. *bludgeons VF-19 Pilot with a Powermaster Optimus Prime* Toys were meant to be played with! *goes back to making gun sounds, while putting his Valkyries, and Zoids through combat* EDIT: Forgot to add smileys.
  3. Okay, that Turbo Teen kit is just bizarre. A bit unsettling, actually. I had that Cy-Kill kit, when I was a kid.
  4. I don't care what kind of ground rules get laid down. Nothing will stop me from hating the confused mess that is Cowboy Bebop. I've never had a chance to see the original BGC, but I did enjoy Tokyo 2040. Though I prefer a little more closure in my endings. From what I've been hearing of the original, I don't see how the two exist in the same continuity. Does Sylia just have a knack for finding people with the same names?
  5. Depends on the bad toy. I only buy what looks apealing to me. The Banny Valks I bought because they were small, relatively inexpensive, and I figured I could modify them to be a little better. They really weren't as bad as they'd been made out to be. The only toys I've got that I'd consider bad, looked good, before I had them in hand. Energon Rodimus looked to have a better robot mode, then he really has, and Energon Jetfire would be fine if his joint ratchets weren't loud enough to wake the dead. In fact, I think he'd be a pretty fun TF, if it wasn't for that.
  6. BT isn't enough to sate you? Anyway I'm a G1, BT and Masterpiece transformer fan myself. All other TFer lines can rot in hell for all I care after TFers any well made mecha toy is up for grabs. Alternators are cool, and there are a couple I'm looking forward too, but I've always enjoyed smaller toys. (Banny Valks rule!) I've also found that the ones that can be transformed quicker, are more fun to mess with. I'm happy to see a few vehicles in the Energon line that look like they could exist, even if they aren't straight translations of real vehicles. Shame that I missed RID. I'll collect about bot that catches my eye. *looks at his Zoids Whitz Wolf, and Liger Zero X*
  7. Transformers. Though, I really miss the well executed alt modes from early G1.
  8. I can see Swoop in that. Doesn't look a thing like Windcharger. Windcharger had a visor, and a face plate. Don't remember what his cartoon face looked like, though. To be Windcharger hi legs would have to trahsform like Alt Grimlocks Either way, maybe this will get people to quit complainingthat they all transform the same. I'm sure they'll find something else to complain about, though.
  9. A quick check of tfkenkon.com shows that the anime version also comes with an energy axe. It's also got light blue eyes, with light piping. It does come with a gray gun, though. Actually, in the pictures, it looks silver. The DVD version has yellow eyes, an autobot symbol on each shoulder, the metallic paint, and two of the transparent blue guns. The anime version is regular red, only has the symbol on his left shoulder, and only comes with one blue gun. I modified a couple of Zoids blocks parts, and gave the guns to my Armada bendy Prime. Am I the only one who finds it strange that Robotmasters isn't using the standard weapons pegs, that have been in use since the late 80s?
  10. That's Doctor Uwe Boll to the likes of you - he gets mad if you don't use the honorific.... That's okay. I get mad when somebody buys the movie rights to a game, then doesn't base the movie on the game.
  11. It doesn't look any worse as a truck than 20th anni Prime does. I am trying to find a way to fill in the missing bits on the front of the truck. I more worried about the front portion of the wheel wells. I think that's what would add the most to the truck mode. Matching the metallic paint, ought to be fun.
  12. I loved the game, but I'm not expecting much from the movie. I still haven't figured out why it's being set in the 18th century. Makes no sense to me.
  13. I occasionaly post that 100% one on another forum I frequent, when ever anybody mentions Robotech. You'd think a bunch of anime fans would know better.
  14. "Gold" is the term they use when the game is finished, and ready for production.
  15. Good to see that they've backed down on the CPU specs. The last specs I heard were going to require a two gig or equal processer. I wasn't sure my 1800+ was going to handle it. Glad I just upgraded to a gig of ram, and a 9800 video card, though.
  16. Odly enough, I've been thinking about taking some funny pictures with my Banny CF, and my four Optimus Primes. I come here today, and what do I see?
  17. They're manufactured in China, like everything else. The ones sold here in the US are made by Hasbro, with Hasbro's own color schemes. Other than that, they're all Tomy's creations. The Tomy color schemes, usually look a lot nicer, too.
  18. Shadow technology? What is this, Robotech Vs. Babylon 5?
  19. If nothing else, it needs to lose the disk. They really need to go back to the original design (the real one from WWII) and rework it from there. I really wouldn't have a problem with it just being the WWII Yamato, with the Arcadia style engine section, but this new design is too much of a departure.
  20. Some of those are sorely mistransformed. I'll hold off final judgement untill I've seen finished official pictures, with proper transformations. That being said, I really digging that Powerglide homage, and the helicopter.
  21. Do Blue Thunder and/or Airwolf factor into this plan anywhere?
  22. I used some of this stuff on an Xmod. It takes it about a week to thouroghly dry. Handle it within the first two or three days, and it will never dry.
  23. If the blue one gets released, I plan to buy one out of spite, even though I don't really like the mold. Does look pretty good in blue, though.
  24. NATO 5.56mm is more powerfull than the eastern block 7.62mm that the AK fires, but is comparitively weak against the NATO 7.62mm round.
  25. According to Sci-Fi Wire, even though Boyle isn't directing, he is co-producing. The man will have a hand in the new movie.
