Full Metal Panic 1: Fumoffu - Full Metal Pandemon
wolfx replied to Godzilla's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Curious, why do u call it FMP 1? This was the "2nd" one wasn't it? Oooh...FMP 2nd Raid is coming soon, continuing the storyline. -
i read somewhere these "children/bedroom stories" original intentions were to SCARE kids to bed. Not bore them to sleep. But good news on this. AM's Alice was an excellent game in terms of level design.

I have yet to see Liam Neelson in a non-teacher/mentor kinda role and Morgan Freeman is always the "dont mess with the old guy" character. Just a slightly OT observation.

The show was great...but action scenes could've been better. Too much camera jerking and blurring. Guess they didn't wanna waste time with the martials arts and stuff.

I hope he SOMEHOW gets back into the EXASS. His Windam was a pushover.

In most sci-fi, space is sorta considered to be like our oceans. So, there are space "navies" and such in a lot of popular sci-fi franchises. Our marines fight on land, sea, and air. So expanding that to space doesn't seem so odd to me. H I'm no military buff, but when you say "Our marines fight on land, sea, and air. So expanding that to space doesn't seem so odd to me." i'm sure it doesn't mean that their personnel are multi-tasking that pilots can be GIs and special operatives as well. You gotta be James Bond for that.....and investment on training them up would cost a bomb. PS: Someone once told me it takes USD2million to train up a SEAL member.

Was that sarcastic? I'm not much of a TV person and never bothered to find out why they cancelled it. The show was pretty cool. The marines could pilot fighters, fight on the ground as infantry, and do about almost anything. Its crazy! What was the squad called again? Wild Cards?

I want a Hammer Head.

Exactly what I was thinking! Even if this was true. she wouldent evn try to use Freedom Rouge to its best ability. Who knows? Anything to sell more toys. I can't believe they released an orange 1/100 Zaku Phantom and put Heine's picture in front of it. Besides, Cagali has Seed mode. It does wonders to anyone's piloting ability. And yes i'm quite sure its fake.

There ya go. http://www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?Dis=2&MacroTy...l&Word=yukikaze I got my FRX-00 Mave yesterday. Be warned though that these things are made from the cheapest plastics. Mine came out of the blister packaging almost in pieces. The wings and missles fell apart....the fuel tank came out too. I had to supaglue them all in place. Word of caution if you plan to remove it from the packaging. Handle it as if its made of jelly. The damn thing though it looks great in detail, is the most fragile toy/model i have ever owned.

What ever happened to the Aquarion episodes? Anyway, the picture above looks CG. Here are clearer pictures of the Chogokin. http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/B...5353921-3451463 Aquarion Solar.

Or maybe Kira jettisoned his nuke reactor , caused a "non-nuke" explosion and in the chaos flew the Freedom on its reserves back to the Archangel. Hmm...we might never know until 2-3 episodes later.
-
Ok since there was at least SOMEONE didn't go WTFBBQ , i feel real stupid right about now. I think you hit the jackpot on that....but it doesn't help if someone stupid like me didn't get it.
-
THat's the problem with you MW-ers troll-hunters. Can't we all get along? PS: I'm not Mgrexx whatshisname in disguise. Really.

I wonder if Kira could've won if he weighed against going against his no-kill code vs the fact that if he lost here, the archangel might not survive its mission. Everyone is praising the modular design of impulse...but makes me wonder, if they had enough spare parts for impulse on the minerva, why not just get another core splendour and make a 2nd unit for one of their idling aces? Shinn just jettisoned and changed everything (including the force pack) again when he got totalled once. Quite a waste IMHO. But hey...that's a good way to work in a gimmick i think. Ramming into the freedom with machine guns blazing...i never expected that. Ok, Kira survived a "nuke" in the 1st Season, and now he's going to survive a real NUKE as well as a pierce into the cockpit of the Freedom. I wonder how they are going to bring him back now. Oh wait...the Freedom's cockpit is more in the chest rather than the torso...so there's hope for him after all. As for Sting, his cockpit was split into half ala Heine as well....don't know how he's gonna come back.

In this month, I caught the latest Asian horror films which were Infection, by the Japanese and Ghost Train by the Koreans. Infection is a trippy horror film of how the overworked staff of a hospital are dying off one by one to a strange infectious disease that disolves humans. In the process of the show you get creepy atmosphere, ghosts etc. I love how the story progressed and then towards the end it becomes real artsy and trippy and I don't know WTF is going on and what really happened. Ghost Train...not sure if its because it was badly translated, was good in building up tension and leaves alot of plot holes by the end. You dont' really see much gore or ghosts. Just psychological tension and that's good...if the story adds up by the end that is. Both these films....seem to try to carry a message across. But I just don't get it. WTf? Ok and today I just watched Ichi The Killer. The whole show was like just a reason to show lotsa blood and gore and how to really torture a human being that would make you cringe....which is fine if that was the case...until you reach some trippy ending which again makes you go WTF? The last time i remembered a trippy american horror was Jacob's ladder, which Silent Hill got me to watching it. So is this the trend that seems to be happening to the Asian horror scene? Let's show gore. Let's show horror! Oh ok...why not add some artsy message in the end scene? PS: Battle Royale had a somewhat weird ending as well....Battle Royale II even weirder. But they didn't really leave any plotholes so that's all fine by me.
