ep 3 was full of awesome. Gurren Lagann finally gattai-ed. The quality of the animation is quite astounding. I'm surprised that this isn't an OVA. Anyone feel that Yoko has an uncanny resemblance to Nono?

I played Apocalypse during its time but only enough to get through it. Didn't explore the various things i could do with it like what warmaker did. My brother actually managed to capture all the aliens to gain some powerful toxin bullet thing that kills any alien in a shot. It felt kinda epic in the last few eps when you had to transport your team into the alien dimension and destroy it from within. Your guys will be decked out with the best alien tech can offer, from disrupter armours, shields and missle launchers. Woohoo..finally i can blow stuff up without inciting the anger of corporations that fund me. XD

Yeah...cuz he sounds the same in the trailer when he uttered that line "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings" but in the video i posted above sounds kinda raspy...maybe that's cause his face plate is off.

Maybe macross should go down the path of Loli and have cutesy seemingly underaged girls compete in a shounen tournament anime style. That way Macross is recreated for the new generation. Put in more fanservice and bouncy too.

Try to keep it to macross eh. The Fenrir thing has been discussed in the anime/sci fi thread like a year ago so you could search that up. I believe it even has a fully "transformable" Buster sword that can split to the multiple swords. Custom of course. Anyway , THE VF-4 looks amazing though poseability doesn't seem to be its forte. I'd hit it!

Abenobashi was only a parody in the 1st 2-3 episodes (RPG world and sci-fi world) and everything else sorta holds the show in its own right so I don't really consider it as an all-out parody show. Besides, we have new Evangelion movies soon if you want non-parodies.

The VF-0 had no codename designation. I think there was one time when people here thought they were named "Phoenix" though. Technically only the VF-1s were code named Valkyrie, but somehow the name stuck throughout all Variable Fighters after the VF-1 as a general term for Variable Fighters. The SV-51 didn't have any codename that i know of.

yes. Kyoto animation will be working on it. I saw kyo-ani's production schedule somewhere and it had FMP somewhere in the middle of it with Clannad TV at the start of 2009 as the end of the schedule. Of course there's Boredom Of Suzumiya Haruhi somewhere in there as well.
