  1. I like the proportions of the MPC Battloid better.
  2. Stick to jenius here, he's the Mospeada guru on these boards. Oh, and as Roy Batty would say: We're so happy you found us...
  3. Hi all. I hope the moderators allow me to pimp my book here. The first miniseries became somewhat of a small cult thing, so with that in mind I put all my skill to keep this second installment on the level. Here's the cover. Also Dark Horse has a four page preview of the book here: http://www.darkhorse.com/profile/profile.php?sku=13-691 Let me know what you my trusted fellow macrossworlders, think of it.
  4. I know, but since the Clown Kung Fu commercial was also posted here, I figured this is kind of the "throw it all here section"
  5. A friend just send me this. The site is in spanish, but the video is in english. Enjoy! http://www.alt1040.com/archivo/2006/03/08/...-caja-del-ipod/
  6. That lime green was a poor choice IMHO. I didn't like the LV2 and this armor don't do anything tro spice it up for me. I'll stick to my classic GPB for now.
  7. I try to do both whenever possible, but as Radd said, Tag & Bink are Kevin's characters. I love working with him, when you read a script written by Kevin Rubio, the images just begin to pop up in your brain The image is the 4th page of the first issue. What happens is that Kevin decided on re-write an old T&B short story he did for the late SW Tales magazine, a story Kevin wasn't quite satisfied with. Hence the "Special Edition" tag on issue 1 I don't remember who was the artist back then, but I had to draw the same scene and maybe that's the reason why Radd thought it was from an older comic. I tried not to look at the original art when I was doing my version but they turned out very similar (great minds think alike ) Anyway, I owe you guys a teaser, so here's another page from the same book. Enjoy. Edit: Double post, sorry.

  9. Hey, HG stole japanese model kits from almost every sci-fi show of the 80's! And when they ran out of ideas for the names, they named them like the shows they appeared on. Check that "Orguss II" for example (The sequel didn't even exist at that time!). And did you noticed that the battloids legs are backwards? That line was sooo weird! Ok, back to topic: I too like the Robotech Changer camo better.
  10. A comics tread! Good idea. I wonder why no one did it before. I'm not much a comics reader anymore (I think comics are a bad place to draw inspiration from if you work in comics), but this is a great place to get some quality feedback from my upcoming Star Wars miniseries, since this a community I have lots of respect for. So here's a teaser from "Star Wars, The Return of Tag & Bink Special Edition" (vol. 1 of 2). The book is due this March 22. I hope you guys find the time to take a look at it and tell me what do you think
  11. I've never seen Mac2 and I'd kill for those 2SS in toy form. I always use the Garland argument: I don't know how well did Mac2 in Japan, but I don't think it did worse than Megazone and here I am preordering the toy that I never though I'd see made. I've heard many times that Kawamori hates Mac2. Is that a strong reason not to make those? Or there's other legal obstacles? Edit: This was my small contribution to the cause of a perfect variable VF-2SS toy. Now it's the turn for Yamato to pick up the glove
  12. Sounds good. I didn't like the Yamato stand. Somebody in these boards (I don't remember who) made custom plaques for his 1/48's. That was very nice.
  13. Nice! Finally Shogo pics! I was expecting a Shogo with a bit more attitude, maybe with a self sufficient grin on his face and better hair sculpt, but it looks okay. With the figure for comparsion the Garland looks like a Cadillac now. I've never realised how much anime magic was involved in the OVA Edit: Hey, Shin. I PMed you back a few days ago, did you get it?
  14. Sorry I'm late. Gee! You guys have all such good taste that you don't let me much left to say. I must add tho' that after seeing the D-stance YF 21 I feel raped by Yamato. I think Yamato owes us faithful customers, a brand new line of Mac Plus, not just the long lost YF 19 FP. And don't forget the Renegade enemy mecha this time. As for Star Wars I think that while the collectors have grown the collectibles haven't. I just stopped collecting SW toys cause they look too childish to me now and I think that's Hasbro's mistake. I for one would buy an accurate Milennium Falcon if it costs me an eye. Four or five individually packed playsets that conbine intgo a huge, nicely detailed, gimmick loaded vehicle could be a good idea. My mother would've never bought me such a toy when I was a kid, but now is MY money
  15. I don't get it. First I thought that complex color schemes for an out-of-the-box Valk were too expensive to produce, so I said to myself "forget an Enigma scheme, dude". Now I see these awful designs and go: WTF?! Being so many cool color schemes out there why did Yamato decided on go with two schemes that my little sister could have come up with? I wanted to own two new originally painted Valks, but I'm not a completist so the decision for me is easy.
  16. I want brand new destroids and enemy mecha as much as the next geek around here, but George Sohn said "if they sell well" and that's a big IF, considering Toyami's QC problems. I sincerely hope they got it right this time.
  17. Ok, this is for potential Toynami lurkers here: Nevermind the scale. Just do new transforming Alphas! I want to believe that you've learned a lot since the Masterpiece collection, so make a decent smaller line and I'll buy multiples, I swear.
  18. Is the version above operational? Looks made of carboard to me. Nice windshied tho'.
  19. Hmm, that is a nice frame for a working Akira bike to start with. Note to myself: buy a G-Strider to turn it into an Akira bike when I get rich (they'll be real cheap when that happens )
  20. I think that given enough time, some japanese toymaker would eventually pick up the licence (like Yamato did with Megazone). But now we'll never know.
