  1. Thanks for the kudos, guys. And who says that capitalism and fascism are incompatible?
  2. When I started reading the book, I thought that Heinlein had a very sharp sense of humor. Then I realized that the man was a fascist (I'm not trying to discuss politics here, so let's just leave it this way). The powered armor concept on the other hand, was a strong influence for me. This Powered Armor was inspired in the book. Hey, Graham. Does still looks like an elephant in a battle suit?
  3. Guys, this is not like the 1/48's. Both releases are exactly the same, so get them while they're affordable and be happy. Geez.
  4. I don't have a macro, so I can't take decent pictures of it, but I can say there's not much of a difference between the two editions. The elbow hatch is not glued down and that's about it. Not much of a gimmick either, you have to hold it open 'cause it tends to close. Shows the same stress marks in the same places, wich is no biggie' like Prometheum5 stated above. I say is a great toy, I'm very happy with it.
  5. I just got mine at the SDCC, so I guess is the reissue, tho' I can't see many differences to those already reviewed, except for the opening elbow missile hatch. I guess the decision depends on how much you like the K Monster. Me, I'm a fan and despite it's little issues (stated above) remember that this is the only Köenig Monster toy we'll be seeing in quite a while.
  6. The only problem with the Yamato Scop Dog is that it just don't look right out-of-the-assembly-line. I was wondering if somebody here could customize mine to something like this. Maybe Sebastian here is the man. Waddaya say, Seb? Would you honor my SD with your skills?
  7. Double posted, sorry.
  8. Ok, before the mods move this topic to the "Other anime or science fiction" section, I think it's safe to say that the Beta will come at least in blue scheme, since it's the most seen version in the show and the prototype shown at the SDCC was also blue. But in order to make more money of it I think we'll end up seeing all four versions of it, or a Shadow version at the very least.
  9. You should PM Cyclone. He's the Mospeada expert around here. I think he even has a webpage of it.
  10. I wanted to post pics of my Aoshima Dropship custom and there¡s no use either, We should start a rant topic about it. As for the panel lining, I was looking for some tips 'cause I want to panel line my Koenig Monster, so I used the search function and found this thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=8789&hl= Very useful, take a look.
  11. My guess is Bandai cancelled it or delayed it. I seriously doubt that that set was released and you missed it. It's somewhat of a comfort to you? No? Too bad (Dr, Evil's voice)
  12. Hmmm. Let me try something and I'll let you know. Thanks for the tip, Montar.
  13. Well? Does the cockpit opens or not? I have a Galoob Dropship pilot who's eager to take it for a spin!
  14. Got 'em! Thanks LowVis The Neo is my favorite. Where are these from?
  15. Yeah, me too. By the way: is there any chance that someone here make some Alpha after market landing gears to replace those rechitic rear ones? Oh! and a sensor pod that fits inside the Alpha's body would be nice too!
  16. Actually, that Q1 chick is pretty hot. She can kill me afterwards if she has to.
  17. I can't seem to post any pictures. Please help.
  18. i just got mine from a guy at the con tho' the MPC was sold out. I can't remember the price, I was too excited (I hope I didn't paid it with my soul). Mine is the special edition. I like it better since it has the 02 on the side and the weathering doesn't look that cool anyway. I have a question tho': does the cockpit opens? From Montarvillois pictures looks like it does. Please let me know how. Also be extremely careful with the sensor antenna, it's too long and plastic, I broke it by accident too and fixed it with super glue and now it's good as new. I happen to own the Galoobs too and seems like those figures fit in the cockpit (woot) ! Pictures coming soon.
  19. I can't see those pages. Please post some Neo and Variable Glaug pictures. Please?
  20. I'm a big Monster and Koenig Monster fan, so I too hope it did well on sales. I just got mine from a guy at the SDCC who had a lot of Yamato stuff (even a boxed Low Vis for 400 smackers WTF?!) so I guess I got the second edition which supposedly has the improved elbow missile launchers. Mine can open both missile bays, but they won't stay in position and the manual says nothing about it. Anyway, I think that the release of the KM was a bold decision from the people of Yamato so I just had to support them on this one, not to mention that this is probably the only perfect transformation KM toy we'll ever see.
  21. My oh my! Look all those changes on the boards and the news and all. A 1/60 VF-0? Life is good ladies and gentlemen! I just bought the Köenig Monster and the Scope Dog w/ Chirico Cuvie figure from Yamato, so for me this is just good karma So is the Beta-Thread but that belongs to another section. It's good to be back.
  22. Wow! Thanks for the news. Can anyone tell me exactly which booth is Seichi's so I can run straight to it the first day? Edit: Is there a way to get in touch with him and ask him for some particular items? (tho' I'll probably end up buying everything )
  23. Hi everybody! There are practically zero Macross toy dealers where I live, and I should go to the San Diego Comic Con on July for work, so I'd rather buy them there instead of buying them online and save the shipping. Thing is, despite how big it is and the fact that Yamato America will have a stand, I'm not sure if I'm going to find any 1/48's, Q-Raus or K. Monsters at the show. Does anyone knows of a Yammie retailers Attending, or some retailer on the area? Thanks again, guys. -Lucas-
