  1. I'm sure, but everything's in japanese. Damn! I gotta learn to read japanese. I'll search for Yelluw Submarine on Google, tho'. Thanks.
  2. Wow! That's a monster I must have! I'm not much of a modeller, but I'm a Monster sucker. By the way: I just remembered this old kit I saw at a Hobby Japan Extra from summer 1998. There was a lot of Macross models on that issue, including the Macross plus transforming kits from SHE. But I've never could identify these kits. Does anyone knows who made these and if there are still available? They all look 1/100, tho' I'm not sure. Thanks in advance
  3. Hey! Those guys are already taking orders for the Shadow! Hey, Kevin. I want to preorder one too!
  4. Yeah, one that can be stored inside the toy in fighter mode also.
  5. I just made the same question on the HG licence debates thread, and the guys told me that it hasn't been released on DVD and probably never will, both because Carl Macek hates the spawn and because HG doesn't own the Megazone rights anymore. There is an old and now rare VHS released back then, but that's about it. As for it's good or not, I dunno, I enjoyed very much when I was a kid. Back on topic: That is some bad ass kit!
  6. I'll buy the whole Alphas line, both because I like 'em all, and because I wan't a Beta, tho' I realize the chances are small. After all it isn't as popular as the Alpha and the production costs will be high. Now I hope that Toynami does really well so they can afford the adventure and succeed where others have failed. Personally I don't give a damn about the Cyclons. I'll probably buy one if they look good, but there's no way they can make them perfect transformation, and I'm a perfect transformation guy, so I prefer the Beta any day. Maybe we should poll it to make Toynami change their minds about the whole Beta thing.
  7. I agree with the "default mode" thesys. Know it seems clearer why the König does not have a landin gear. What is more: all this analysis of the Monster just makes me want it more and more.
  8. Wow! Okay, Anubis, you convinced me. Now I must get at least five of these
  9. Right! And then it just starts flapping the legs to gain altitude! That Kawamory guy must be a genius! Or it has a flying sport car like the old Mazinger, that'd be so cool! Serious now. I'll get the Köenig and everything, but IMHO not giving the KMonster a gear it's a mistake. I can imagine a four star General yelling at Kawamori: "And where am I suppose to store a whole squadron of these things, for pete's sake?!"
  10. Hey, Kevin! Do you have any idea on when will you start collecting the payments for the Alpha?
  11. I do wish to get the version that was shown on the Toynamy booth at Anime Expo. That tan blue is just the right one for me. Somewhere on this thread was also posted a picture of a boxed Alpha from the same event, only the color looked different, more like the prototype. If you look carefully the certificate of authenticity you'll see that it's the 200th (I know, I'm a frigging geek) The boxed Alpha that Tom brought to the MWCon looks also different, but in this case the number can't be seen Whether if this was just a case of bad lighting, or if those two apparent different colors are indeed the two versions, I'll only find out when my Alpha get's here, I only hope that if I get one of the first 3000, it becomes a pricey rare item sometime.
  12. I thought of the line art and opening movie too, but I dunno. Imagine that beast having to change from one mode to another just to take off and land. Valks are lighter and agile and they have landing gear, besides the crew would need a chopper to reach that cockpit! But it's okay, I'm already dealing with the fact that my Monster won't have landing gear anyway That would be shweet!
  13. What justifies the price in my case is the good quality (now that I've learn that it does have good quality) and the limited quantities, not to mention there's not too many Alphas-Legioss to choose from. Not that I'm willing to pay 80 smakers for a 6 inch toy, but like somebody here said: most people here have paid more for less at some point.
  14. Okee-dokee. I'll get the ADV version then. I didn't knew that RT:the movie had so little dissemination in the US. I first saw it in Argentina at the cinema little after the movie was released in the US and I liked it. Seriously
  15. Acordingly with this line art, the Alpha does have the Ronald McDonald feet, so I'm not concerned about that. And as I said in the MPC thread, the small size just makes it more easy to play with (try to make your 1/48's fly across the room in battroid mode with the faspacks on and you'll know what I mean). I love size like everybody else here, but what makes me want the Alpha more than anything else is the idea of play with it more than display it.
  16. Thanks, Kevin, >EXO< and bigkid24, for the info. Now I just have to sit and wait. The toy is small, but that never bothered me. It just makes the toy more "play-able". And given the size it amazes me that the gaps aren't bigger!
  17. Thanks a lot, Ewilen. You did your homework So it's safe to say that "The untold story" has never been released on DVD yet. Is "Megazone 23" still available somewhere then?
  18. Sorry if I borrow your attention for one moment, but since the HG debates are here, I'd like to ask you guys is HG is planning on release Robotech The Movie on DVD. I know it was taken from Megazone and all, but I hapen to like the spawn as it is. If this has been discussed already, I'm sorry. I'm not reading the gazillion posts whatsoever. Thanks in advance, ppl.
  19. I agree, but to make sure the Beta can be linked up later, they should've made a prototype of the Beta already (and show it to the public to ensure the demand), I would. But I sincerely doubt they even have a computer design of it, wich IMHO is not very professional of them. Hopefully. I don't like the extra missile pod nor the gunpod inthe middle anyways. Do the Husle!
  20. The color is great, I hope this is a final production unit. I still can't see the landing gear and the machine gun, but I'm sold anyway
  21. Thanks, Blaine. That was a very clear and comprehensive point of view. The remastered edition lacks special features whatsoever, and you're right about the sense of nostalgia of the first release. Unfortunately the remaster edition has this small feature that will make me buy it again someday: the original spanish track. It might sound weird to your anglo-saxxon ears, but for me is like music since I first watch the show in Argentina with that dubbing a looooong time ago. BUT. Since I buyed the first version not so long ago, I'll take your advice and go for the original japanese shows before rebuying RT. That said, thank you all for your comments, links, patience and understanding.
  22. Thanks, G. I know most people here are leaned towards Macross, hell, I am too! That's why I'm posting here, and not "there". And that's the precise reason why I'm asking this to you, guys. I know what the Robotech dorks would say, and I want the objective opinion of my fellow MWers. What I want is a nice copy with good sound and good image, so when I'm 80 I can sit on my armchair and watch those old chapters of my geekhood. But I heard somewhere that the remaster is not that good and that even they change some stuff from the original!
