Can someone list a breakdown of prices and availability for the VF-0S by site?
Been refreshing HLJ, amiami, biginjapan, hobby search, CDjapan its looks like its available.
but NY is the only one retailing at a figure starting at 29,xxx. The rest start with 3x,xxx.

Nope. Like I said a few pages ago, the Reactive Armor will not fit on the old Yamato 0S Roy since the old one has wider chest area than the new ones. And this is just basing it on the recent released 0D.
Probably it went to the rotating mechanism for the cockpit seats for both 0A and 0S.
Only answer comes to mind probably is because of the labor cost and production costs mentioned in the recent blog released yesterday by Mr.K. But yeah, I totally agree with your sentiments.
What thin joint connectos? Are you referring on the pelvic joints? I don't think it's thin. It's the same metal bar used in the VF-0D too.

Yeah was referring to the pelvic joints, more of a critique to the angle of the photograph.
They could have had it angled a bit to reduce the gap shown of the hips to the body or not pulling the hips so far away from the nose cone.
i thk it can still hold the kneeling pose with the hips closer to body.
Still not up on NY yet.. geez why the hold up!?
Been waiting on that also...perhaps they are doing up their discount and evaluating if they would get enough volume to justify it...
perhaps being the last to list has the best offer...

Preordered both at HLJ. If they bundle the reactive armor later, I'm going to be pissed.
I still have my Yamato Roy with the booster displayed. At these prices I can't afford 3 Roy VF-0S
I would be royally pissed if the reactive armour works with the old yamato roy...which meant i could hv gotten the old yammie...

you can shout yahoo in a 19 but try doing that in a 21 with ur thumbs pressed together....you probably go into a tailspin!

what would add insult to injury is 'IF' the rates improve drastically next few weeks...but btr secure this hot cake first...plus you wouldnt know if its worse rates ...

Nippon yasan is pretty good on their preorders so you should be good . But the dollar to yen just drop big since last Friday so now it cost a bit more .

Just realised i didnt get any email to pay on my pre-order with Nippon Yassan. I emailed them and they said email to ask for payment should be out soon...
Should i pay anyway beforehand, or would there be instances i cant get my money back should they not have stock...

wow its hard to pick a favorite, cos they all are favorites in their own particular way.
Ok going old skool here...I would say roys vf-1s and the vt-1 super ostrich ranks up on my list.
vf-1s with its colors and insignia with strike pack just screams dont even thk of messing with me.
the ostrich for its colors, double boosters (big is beautiful) plus that one of a kind head!
corny but still the only clip i can find with both of the aircraft in....
On the destroid front its got to be the phalanx with the iconic M ...you just know its M for Macross!
(and then it opens up and all those missiles!)...

I understand what you're trying to say, but if we are going to let that be a factor, then we are not judging the toy on its own merits. For example, some people may have a strong nostalgic connection to an old cartoon like G1 transformers and say that the original G1 transformer toys are better than more modern transformer toys (like those based on TF:Animated) just because of that connection, but that is obviously untrue from an objective point of view.
My tot on it the word 'better' in the poll is open-ended. There are many aspects such as articulation, design, robustness, color, desirability, symbolism, price, rarity that make a toy better or more appealing to a collector. Some may place importance on one over the other.
I would take charm as a merit on its own (although it may not be so important to anyone else),
i do get your point a toy should be judged on its own merits and try not to involve non-factors. My point as sometimes those non factors influence one's preference over the other and as such are a factor, although not apparently paid most attention to.
Nothing is exactly similar and sometimes little things such as preferring a kite over an SMS sticker can tilt it.
Perhaps am thinking too much over my purchases

Opps i forgot BIJ was also in the 29 k range... retail wise NY is cheaper approx 160 yen but thats not much....
am sure others have been using them but havent used them so far ....
