Thanks Einherjar.

Why don't you guys grow up. This group trolling is getting ridiculous. We tried to stay quiet so you can let it go back to normal but you insist on making it worse.

Without the effects, they look really silly...
haha... yeah. Kinda like RDJ in the iron man "suit" when filming.
He looks good as Doctor Strange though.

The only reason this remotely has my interest is because unlike all of my Toynami Alphas (Variable & Poseable).... nothing on my VF-2SS has fallen apart or crumbled. I'm at least curious to see what they will come up with.
yeah... I think you're right. At least I see people fixing theirs with superglue and seems like they're happy with it. Plus maybe they learned something from the VF-2SS. I guess it's in the wait and see file for now.
-
Variable Legioss? What scale?
Oh... It's Evolution toys. Never mind. It'll be like buying a Toynami and will probably be at the same price they are now.

I'm going to separate these two topics soon, so no one freak out. Lol. Last time I moved a thread someone went ballistic.

Are they all basically the same size? It seems like they're all around 700kb but that should be ok.
I'll see if I can upload files tonight.

Thanks nightbat... It's been posted in other threads but it should have its own, unless I missed it. There are way too many weird threads where kits are combined within.

Deadpool was made in the same tone as most of the MCU films. In fact I thought it fit that universe more than any of the Fox Marvel films. The only thing was they added adult elements that fit Wade Wilson's character and the type of humor that we were familiar with in the Deadpool comics. In fact, Deadpool is closer in tone to Iron Man than The Winter Soldier. Again, tone isn't the problem. You can make a dark, gloomy movie and still make it extremely watchable. The problem with DC movies is coherence, relatability, and the characters actually resembling the source material.I think the reshoots were initiated by the director and not the studio. It has gotten more life and scrutiny in wake of all of the criticism from BVS. I suspect the tone of the finished film will more closely resemble Deadpool and not the PG 13 nature of the Marvel/Disney films. WB was probably more than happy to concede because they have to know that they can't afford to have 2 films back to back being highly contested by the critics

I feel like these movies are giving even the "dark and gloomy" movies a bad name. I've seen a lot of those type of films and there's a way to do them well. The Crow, the first and second Blade film, Angel Heart, City of Lost Children, Bladerunner, The Fly (1986). Hell... even the first Terminator and the first 2 Alien films were pretty dark and gloomy. (Dark as in atmosphere and tone, not lighting wise.) Not to mention all the classic horror films that were obviously dark in nature but were super fun to watch... some one there is confusing "realistic" with shaky cams, bad colorization and zero heart.

My bet is if James Wan's Aquaman makes a ton of money then he'll go straight to Aquaman II. But let's face it... Can Aquaman suck as bad as BvS and still make that much money? Robotech really has a good chance of getting made unless Aquaman is a hit or Wan gets an even juicer franchise out of it.
Robotech.... todaRescue!
Get some help!

I think I got it for $125... I think something like this would cost $500 now in retail.

I just remembered which Motoko figure is my absolute favorite... it's this! It's the one that comes with the The Good Smile die-cast tachikoma. It's 1/18th scale but it has a perfect face sculpt and a fully articulated figure. Plus it comes with an awesome toy tachikoma!

I got mine for $62 each but I bought three so the discount came in from the shipping. Not bad for EMS though. But it really does help preordering as early as you can. Hopefully we got a good jump on the Monster. Because that would be super expensive once it starts hitting the secondary market. People are saying that there's a ton on the toy stores in Japan. So if anyone is going, Go get a bunch and make a little bit on money on the side! Lol.

Great timing... My little nephew just got into Voltron for some reason. Hopefully he'll be able to watch this with me. Should be fun.

I liked Arise, but I prefer the SAC version of how she met her team members, and their respective personalities. I'm not familiar with the manga at all, so which was closer to the source?
What's with Saito always sleeping?
As for figures, Arise is current, so it's not surprising that it's the focus of figure and model companies. Classic GiTS and SAC still have a strong following among fans, and eventually once Arise has run its course and fervor dies down, my feeling is that they'll return to making original GiTS and SAC stuff.
Classic Shirow for me... My favorite figures is probably the Alpha/Toycom PVC figs... but man I hate PVC... I do prefer the SAC Tachis tho.

I love the Gakken! One of my favorite toys as a kid. I wish it came with little figures on bikes though.
