Just a quick spoiler from the Char Blog:

Best Buy also pulled it. Lazy parenting? Sure. Just because you don't want to watch over your kid's well being, you expect others to do it for you....What happen to the days were it was your own damn fault? Geez. It is just as bad as that kid who said he got his cop killing ideas from GTA and people were blaming GTA, blah blah blah. I also get ideas from my violent games. You know, blasting someone with a rocket launcher, pumping a entire magazine into someone, etc. Heck, all of us have probably had some thought about acting out a gaming sequence. But that doesn't mean we'll actually go do it (unless you're that stupid). That kid was the one who killed the cop, not GTA. If the game has a "M/17+" rating and you're buying it for a 12 yr old....you gotta wonder. edit: clarify.

Unfortunately...Yzak's GOUF will probably not have the extra gatling gun from the ending theme animation. Nice custom though.
-
Oh, you mean the Orgus Valk.

Gundam X probably suffers from Family-Guy-syndrome. Bad time slot, horrible ratings, etc....then it comes out on DVD and boom, the popularity sours. With the X manga now, people want to go back and look at what this series was about. I've had X fansubs for....4..5 years now. And some people are now just discovering it. With Turn A, people didn't really notice it since very few people ever saw it. Now that fansubs have come out, more people are watching it. Could people be wanting more of a Gundam fix than they get from GS/GSD, or IGLOO? Sure. People read from us that SEED pays homage to the older series (MSG, Z, etc...) and they find out there's more Gundam out there. Some of which are older then they are. So they want to find out more. It's not unusual.

http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/seed-destiny/mvf-m11c.htm Yeh, it's a Murasame. Huh? It works in space.
-
They probably changed it to Strike Freedom since Nu and Super have been used already. That's probably a by-product of lowering Rouge's power specs to Strike's level. He could pour more power to weapons allowing a faster rate of fire. What MS? Time please? If anything....Kira should have brought the IWSP with him. Rouge was designed to use that thing.

I'll check with my Tungsten later. edit: The lo-fi version works fine on my Tungsten.

Rumor had it (this popped up at a Japanese convention, where someone asked a Bandai rep) that the next series would be something more for the older crowd (the UC kids). I forgot when this was asked (It may have referred to MS IGLOO) so who knows.

To heck with it, I'll save the user the trouble... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=15288 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=15259 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=15085 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=15028 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13380 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=14939 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=9070 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13571 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=9687 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=9483 I think that's it....

Blah, forget editing my last post... That should probably be "same engine-type". A few months back, some magazines mentioned the gold-color on S-Freedom (and silver on IJ) were a product of a new engine. And considering the armaments on SF and IJ, they probably increased the reactor output while keeping it at a relative equal size compared to the last set. Kira hacks......

Doubtful. But you know...no one heard of Providence until the month that it aired. But for now, he'll probably take the Andy's Murasame. But who knows. We should get some more spoilers this week from Gundam Ace. I doubt he'll take Akatsuki. The best explaination would probably be that it's a new Gaia. The translated summary I read of the episode indicated that Eternal was docked with a hidden factory. That's where they were building the DOMs, SF, and IJ. When that recon GINN found them, they decided to leave the factory and draw ZAFT's attention by launching Eternal. The factory is on silent at the moment but it wouldn't surprise me that they built their own Gaia. Technically....it's not his old ride. He reprogrammed Strike Rouge's Phase-Shift (what can I say...Cagalli has a weird brother), but yeah, you could say it's his "old ride".

S-Freedom doesn't use any type of Colloid system besides the DRAGOON. The red dots are just hot debris/particles near the engine exhaust. The same effect was used on the original Freedom. No one can answer that WoL effect yet unfortunately.

Concerning the METEOR units: http://www.gundamofficial.com/worlds/ce/me...ip_eternal.html " In addition to a pair of METEOR units, which function as gun turrets while docked with the ship, " As I said, nice to seem them animated as such finally. Colonel. Taisa. You're demoting him even further. Concerning Mu/Neo, no one really knows what's going to happen. Since we knew Strike Rouge would not be around after this episodes, most people figured he would take Andy's Murasame since obviously not Andy has his own Gaia.
-
Actually, it was 25 MS. S-Freedom was pretty good. Does it even need the METEOR unit if it can do all that damage all by itself. Fukada should throw in some John Woo-moves into S-Freedom...just for kicks. Speaking of METEOR, they finally showed the use of those things on Eternal. They never got a chance to show those things as the turrets they are in GS. I found that to be a nice touch.

Huh? *Wonders why anybody would say that when AnimeSuki is a fansubber site*

Option 1. Getting a fansub is possible, they are out there, but it may take some doing. But it's probably your best bet, if you look below. Option 2. NO. Bootlegs are bad. Not only are you supporting organized crime, but organized crime that cannot comprehend either the Japanese or English languages. Option 3. That will be a long wait...right now, any further Macross releases outside of what's already here (TV, II and Plus) is dependent on an amicable resolution to a number of ongoing or threatened lawsuits. 311261 Thanks Pat. Too bad there's not an easier way. So, more questions... Where do I get a fansub of Macross 7? Is it possible to get DVD instead of VHS? 311263 http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/166.html Start downloading.

Of course, if it did have PS armor, which it doesn't, it would change color... Kinetic weapons, explosives and bladed weapons used by grunts don't have the energy or punch and is countered or nullified by the armor because the force of the impact can be distributed over a larger surface area, nullifying the effect. Beam weapons have more energy behind them compared to kinetic weapons and are packed tighter, so they are harder to spread out over the surface area. Against bladed weapons, most use their blades to cut. The edge of the sword is a large surface area which is being used against a large surface area (consider my example of a sword striking plate mail versus a sword stabbing plate mail). The force is distributed, nullifying the attack. When Shinn stabbed Freedom, he had lots of force and confined it to a tiny point, namely the point of the sword. Tiny surface area and lots of energy...almost makes it a beam weapon. Concerning Mirage Colloid. There are other applications for it besides stealth. I would say impractical. The nukes are fairly small as is. MC uses too much energy to maintain it. Unless you want to strap lots of batteries on it, you're making a small missile suddenly much bigger. And what happens if the MC fails due to lack of power before it reaches it's goal? Then the enemy sees the nukes and the start countermeasures. Even if you strap a MS's nuke reactor, that reactor is still fairly large and what if you can't fit enough fuel for reaction on it (even though that amount is probably more than enough) It is possible, but is it feasible? As of this post, I don't see anything that says strapping MC on a nuke is feasible. Although, since we have 10 more episodes to go, that may change.

What Andy wanted to do was wear down the power on Strike. Phase-shift consumes more power when hit to counter the incoming force (Newton's 3rd law?). You force the power to drain by hitting it repeatedly. With Shinn, just calculate F=ma, where (m) would be the mass of Force Impulse + mass of a ... In any case, the amount of force in that or any kind of thrust would pierce any armor. It's not due to what the sword was made of, somewhat..... it's just how much force was behind the blow that pierced the PS armor. If I was throwing around a good sized bowling ball, the blunt trama would be more than enough to hurt anybody.
-
They are also used in energy deflection armor, used to form beam sabers, spread viruses (In Astray, Mirage Colloid was used to spread computer viruses, but this usage never caught on, but one of the applications of this was the DRAGOON system), etc. So MCs are like the Minosky particles from the UC world. I find it somewhat excessive to plug in a power cord of that size just to do maintanence. Concerning Anti-ship swords. From what I've heard (and from what I've hear of Gai's big sword), they are coated with the anti-beam coating. So they can be used against beam blades (at least the sharpen edges, not the backing). Why did the Excaliber pierce a Phase-shifted Freedom? I think of it this way: Think of Phase-Shift as a kevlar-lined plate-mail. It's good enough to stop bullets, shrapnel, or light cuts with a blade, etc.... But happens when to throw lots of force behind a bigger blade, like a sword? That body armor ain't going to do nothing to stop the other guy from running his sword through you. When Miguel used the sword against Strike, he was performing a slash. There really isn't a lot of force behind that blow and the spread of force was the entire blade, and had a greater area of effect. With that blow, the PS armor could repel the hit. So the PS armor saved them. Now what did Shinn do with the Excaliber? He engaged full speed and rammed Freedom with the sword. The amount of force concentrated at that one small point was significantly greater than the amount of forced used when Miguel slashed Strike. There was much more force behind that one thrust as oppose to the slash. I'm guessing this is why he could stab Freedom. PS armor is good blocking explosions, bullets, slashes, things where the force is distributed or can be distributed. But when faced with a force that cannot be distributed easily like a full-speed ram with a sword, PS/TP armor fails. With plate-armor, it was good enough to resist slashes, blunt objects, blah blah blah, but what happened when someone stabbed him with a sword? The plate didn't hold and the sword went through. Same idea with Impulse's Excaliber vs. Freedom. That's my $0.02 on that problem.

Translation of the model info (thanks to Seed forum & AnimeSuki): Again, still doesn't tell me why they need to be plugged in when the thing runs hybrids with a nuclear reactor. Unless a nuclear reactor doesn't provide suffcient output for Destiny.... Maybe it works like a hybrid car engine? Uses battery for the most part, but switches to nuclear in instance where more juice is required... Anybody got any other ideas?

Well, either way, most of those guys aren't from the Atlantic Feds. Some info from the Destiny model kit concerning Destiny: It still doesn't answer my question about what the heck Deutrion is....Interesting that the Wings of Light are another Mirage colloid effect.... So...is Shinn going to tell Luna that only his new "powers" can save her from dying?
-
Eurasia. The funny thing about life, things have a way of not turning out like you hope.... Whether she pilot it or not, it is something Uzumi left for his daughter to take care of. Yeah...like episodes 12 thru 34.... Shinn didn't say he would protect Luna...He said he would protect Impulse... Luna is the Emma Sheen of Destiny. She's gonna die. Or have something bad happen to her... Unfortunately...it hasn't been said if Destiny and Legend are nuclear powered. It would be helpful to know what Deutrion is, unless they engrished Deuterium, which is used for fusion. Which still doesn't explain why they're plugged in if they use a nuclear reactor. I don't think those things are fuel lines either. The only thing we do know is Dullindal hid Destiny's true abilities by giving it a 2nd stage MS number (i.e. like Impulse, Gaia, Saviour, etc).
