  1. .mkv files are kinda funny like that. You can do a straight conversion, but I've heard it's just easier to convert to some easier avi (DivX or Xvid) and then convert to PSP, but I don't know if you want to keep converting from one format to the other.
  2. He's only 46???? Thought he would be older.....
  3. I could wait till morning but that would just be a waste of time, and we have plenty of other threads still open (Next time, please use the search button before you start another topic, it's the easiest thing in the world to use). http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=16603 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=16084 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=16027
  4. Now give me a 1/100 and it will be Christmas in summer.
  5. You would need to spray something like MG Hyaku Shiki (w/ ballute) or airbrush it. Gold Leaf is Mr. Color Gold is okay (but if it's like it's brother, Hobby Color....it might be kinda silver-ish). ALCAD-II should be fine. Any way should be fine. But remember, reproducing that gold from the original MG and the HG won't be easy. The best you could do is get it close to the manual pics: http://211.233.38.221/dalong/mg/m85/m85_m.htm
  6. The original MG and the HG are gold-plated...or molded with that shiny gold. I forget how that process went.....But the new MG Hyaku Shiki w/Ballute System is only molded in gold-color. If you want it shiny gold, you will need paint it.
  7. Try this: http://img95.imageshack.us/img95/9848/11383149340272ea.jpg http://img56.imageshack.us/img56/2638/11382730287839la.jpg Gold paint should only be used on small and hidden parts. Unfortunately, once you used gold paint on Hyaku Shiki (original MG, or the HG) or the brand new Akatsuki, it will not match the gold plating, which will force you to repaint the entire model with gold paint. "Gold Leaf" (or equivalent gold paint) is your only option.
  8. Guess we'll find out in Zeta III. (No source of that magazine pic. Looks like promotional stuff for Zeta III)
  9. Either someone got it early or I need to go shopping. And someone needs to make that shield Hyaku Shiki is carrying....I like... (P.S....from 4chan)
  10. Yeh, I noticed that too. The It's not the cleanest CG. Some of the edges look a little too sharp as well.
  11. Umm...what JB0 said.
  12. Just got home....It's actually, ugly logo, crap on the moon, then crap flying in space, Alpha landing on Earth, The guy and the girl, alpha-invid dogfight, then a bunch of people shooting something at each other....probably a spit contest.
  13. The sex scenes aren't really distrubing. But thsoe scenes are there to make you sympathize with the Sawa-character. She's treated like a dog. Sit, Stay, Frak me. Even if she says no, they still force her. The child rape scenes are there just to give you the idea that this has been going on for a while.
  14. IIRC, Egan did cover the highlights. http://macross.anime.net/story/chronology/...x.html#20100211
  15. Valks proved to be more combat effective than Destroids. Variable mechs were much more effective and were preferred more over the walking tanks. Destroids are more museum pieces now. When you have things like the VB-6 König Monster, which has greater mobility, the need for the original Monster is exponentially reduced.
  16. Again, this is TV...I didn't know they had to explain every frakin detail to you....
  17. Hey, this is TV... Why not?
  18. As I said, saves me from doing a repaint of the other Murasame.
  19. There is a black outline...It's a thin line though. The Yamato toy line follows the DYRL? look, so it would be a white skull (the outline can be omitted since the white stands out over the colored heat shield) on a colored background. So the way it looks is correct.
  20. Uhh...I'm not too sure about that. There's several other scenes from the manga that crop up in the 2 seasons of SAC. My impression is that the tv series is yet another version of the story, seperate from both the movies and the manga. 363672[/snapback] They probably borrowed some scenes from the manga or movies, but yes, the manga, movies and TV series are treated as 3 seperate worlds. This way, there's no problem with them stepping on each other's continuity.
  21. Why don't I just call Egan Loo, drag his little ass down here and correct us all like he normally does. Would that help?
  22. They did do that, back in the mini-series. They got out of that one by reverting back to an older software suite. One that wasn't as complex and less networked. Hence, they have to dumbfire the missiles. They can always try to fabricate new missiles. They constructed a fighter, why not missiles? If we put this all together, it sounds logical. Missiles may be better at long range, but if the enemy can jam the guidence, then that makes them combat ineffective. If they are dumbfired, then the enemy fighters can just avoid them, at long range. This would apply to the Vipers. Vipers would also have to fire them blind. They can't waste missiles like they do with their bullets since missiles are a bit more costly, resource-wise. And if the enemy can jam them, what's the point of wasting missiles on small targets when they could be saved for the big ones.
  23. Yeah, that too. Interesting...those missiles are variable yield warheads.
  24. So the Methuss finally comes to model form. Lovely. Well, at least the cannon fodder Murasame is coming. Saves me from doing a repaint.
  25. Most of the time, Galactica has been on the defensive and has had very little use of it's missiles. We saw them being used with Pegasus, but we haven't seen them elsewhere since I don't think they would need missiles versus fighters, where flak and guns are better.
