  1. Just got into the Frontier mechs recently after watching the series, so I'm totally late to the game on any Macross Frontier toys, missing out on the group buy and the valk itself... BUT, snagged a renewal VF-25F today on the for sale forum, and just now bought the renewal super parts to go with it online (in stock and ready to ship!) for 6000 yen... woot.
  2. I'm all over that unpainted VF-1D... woot! C'mon, pre-order button. Oh... wait. Online limited... olo(>_<) yamato.
  3. Clear plastic top = no bueno. Those are version 1's...
  4. Just wondering (and it's probably been asked or discussed among the myriad posts on this thread already), but will Bandai's run of this toy even be able to satisfy the number of pre-orders being taken? With all the "Hey, this place reopened their pre-orders!" jazz going on, seems like retailers are just putting new ones up on a whim...?
  5. Alright... gave my tiny Banpresto valk a super glue makeover, and it's now one of my favorite toys to fool around with. The 1/100 Regults now have a new home on one of my "blister card" shelves. As far as toys at work goes, it really comes down to the type of industry/company you're with, and the atmosphere. A lot of companies in the bay area actually encourage a lot of personality on the job, so then you end up with something like my cousin's desk below =):
  6. If your coworkers would look down on you for something like collecting toys, they probably aren't worth concerning yourself with. If what you're into isn't hurting anyone, then they all need to stfu.
  7. As a matter of fact, I'm selling off my hi-metal 1s at the moment, but the whole reason I bought one bitd was to display with the 1/100 pods. In any case, I get what you're saying. I'm hoping the various 1/60 and 1/48 regult projects that other MW guys are working take off enough for them to be purchaseable some day. The 1/48 size pod would be EPIC to have... =) peace.
  8. Recently when moving my detolfs around in the house, I swear I handled each toy like they were coated in uranium... thankfully no disheartening crunching sounds occurred. My 1/48 Stealth recently pulled a suicide self-crunch attempt in fighter mode in my case that I heard from across the house; it's on time out in battroid mode from now on because of that. Seriously, I love that valk, but its the most damn frustrating thing to handle in my display by far. I've come really close to super gluing the super parts and missiles to that bastard permanently a few times... lol
  9. Thanks for the recommendations everyone.. @Mommar: I actually arranged the index in columns with the loose concept of series/movie they appeared in, then top to bottom in a loose "order flown by Hikaru" motif... lol. Everything else (VT-1, VE-1, Virgin Road) was just sort of thrown on there. I wanted to avoid making the index related to the valks' physical position in the display just because I end up having to move stuff around all the time. @DarrinG: Nowhere else to put the pods right now, but despite their scale, I like these little vinyl suckers! haha... at least until someone steps up with a proper 1/60 scale pod. They'll be out eventually once I free up some shelf space outside the display. One more close up of the M&M's for TGIF purposes =)
  10. It was the 80's man... everything was brighter back then. lol
  11. Just bought a Ghost.... between the deal I got my vf-0s for and the HLJ ghost sale, my ghost "bundle" set only set me back about $150 total... Word. =)
  12. Randomly poking around on ebay bored at work just now, saw a pre-order for one of these, grabbed it... not too bad of a price as far as I can tell from other sites that were taking pre-orders.
  13. I put this into Google Translate and it force closed. lol
  14. Willing to bet S. Jackson will drop "You sunk my f*cking helicarrier!" before summer is up...
